Age: Older than dirt
Sex: M and F can mean Much or Frequent .... where's the "Not Enough" option?
Relationship Status: Looking
Height: 6'
Hair: Short, blond
Eyes: 1 pair (blue)
Hobbies: Roleplay, a couple games.
Career: I ride around the countryside and get paid for it.
Likes: Cuddles, Roleplay (Note me for more about this)
Dislikes: Cheese, being left out, or the last one to find out something.
I occasionally get really depressed for what some might consider relatively minor things. Just ... let me be a couple days. I still check in, and will reply to something important. Otherwise, I need a little time to myself.
I tend to react to the way (I perceive) I am treated. I do not "make friends" (as in, *very* close friends, like extended family) easily, but for the very few I do, it is a friendship that will last through many trials. I have a thick pelt about many things, but can be easily offended by a few others. Don't worry, you will be advised if I find something objectionable.

Copied design? I'm fully aware of that, thank you. (G)

So it was brought to my attention that someone has a fursuit with similarities to one of mine, the one named Emca.
Emca was a premade I found one one of the fursuit sale sites, Facebook as I recall. I believe it was advertised as a coyote and the previous buyer had backed out and was selling to recoup their investment. A price was negotiated, money changed hands, and a few days later it arrived in good order. The name Emca was decided, it went to Fur-Eh!, MFM, and on my recent vacation to Florida and a cruise to the Caribbean. For the record, I did *NOT* create the character in any way. The transaction with the maker went smoothly and I am satisfied with the deal we made.
I am told the original buyer backed out of the deal because they were unhappy with some of the details and the maker wanted extra to make changes. Ultimately they had another maker build a suit with similar colors and markings. Whether it's a copy, a derivative of the original, or an original work is debatable, but there was some group discussion about the whole matter which ended up off the rails and turning dramatic. Since the discussion was mostly in Spanish, it wasn't until I got home before I could read the translations.
Fursuiting is supposed to be an enjoyable hobby for those of us who can enjoy it. Not everyone can afford, or handle wearing a fursuit for one reason or another. It's not supposed to be something that divides us, or brings forth drama. Their fursuit has already been made, paid for, enjoyed and seen in videos (apparently the owner makes cooking videos in Spanish, whatever country they are in). In this spirit, I reached out in their group discussion and later to the owner themself. We had a productive dialog about the matter and we wish each other all the best in our fursuiting adventures. If we ever meet, we will take photos, share hugs, and celebrate the fact our fursuits are so similar. There's already enough negativity in this world as it is. Let's hope our fursuiting can bring forth a little joy instead.
