So.. It's come to my attention that I've been away from FA for quite some time now. I've been unable to really do much the last 6 months as I kind of left my laptop back in California when I moved to Arizona.

Over time, I've come ti a realization about who I am. I decided the name I thought I wished to go by was the right name for me, but.. It just didn't suit me.. I really sat around for a bit thinking about it and.. I now go by "Iris Aran". Yes, keeping that nickname alive as my name now. Yes, Aran as in Samus Aran. It's a short and simple last name, but the character background for her really seemed to catch my eyes.

I moved to Arizona for a number of reasons. Mainly: to be close to the woman I had fallen in love with over 2 years ago. Other reasons? I wanted a change in my life. I grew up in the city, hating everything about it. Now? I live in prime hunting grounds of Northern Arizona. Something I've wanted to do since I was a young child. No, not to hunt for sport. I have NEVER condoned hunting for sport because it's wrong. I wish to hunt as a means to provide healthy food for my family. Where better than to get from animals in the wild that aren't being force-fed hormones and garbage foods, right?

Outside of that, I also moved because I just.. Wasn't happy with my life in California. I genuinely felt stuck. I decided to move to get away from the city life, to get away from the people who were, honestly, cancerous in my life. (I don't use the word to encourage ill-will towards anyone. The people that were in my life were like cancer cells to the body.) So I just.. Kind of packed up my shit, fit it all in a suitcase, and hitched a Greyhound out to AZ.

Now? I've been going through quite a bit. I've job hopped a little bit, I was jobless for a period of time.. Dealing with that general BS from life. I finally managed to snag a decent paying job, I've finally managed to move my baby (my supra) out here and.. Well.. I'm just.. Looking forward to seeing where my life goes from here.

Currently I'm just about through with dealing with the BS from my job but.. Where else am I to find somewhere that's gonna pay me 12 an hour to move auto parts and such? Definitely not a dealership. Or any other parts place. Those sons of bitches wanted me to work for 10/hr after knowing I had worked in the field and was making more from where I came from. Only ONE place paid me what I was making when I moved out here, which astounded me. However, they let me go and they lost a good driver.

Occasionally a buddy of mine visits my old dealership and my co-workers actually ask about me, which astounds me to hear. It kind of makes me feel happy though, too.. Since I really did like who I worked with.. That was probably the most fun job I have had in my whole life, even if I had to deal with BS traffic on the I-5 and other major SoCal freeways (rip).

But.. I'm back.. I might be posting stuff that I start writing (music-wise) or doodles here and there depending on whenever I decide to buy a new scanner.

Iris
