I DO NOT SUPPORT TRACERS!! ღ | Bella | 20 |Sagittarius |Single | ღ I've been away for so long. It's been around 2 years that I haven't been on this account. As you may see above I state I don't support tracers. Reason for that is I do not believe tracers are artists what so ever and don't deserve the credit they get. You may disagree but if you start an argument or insult me I WILL block you. Same thing for people who recolor work that is not theirs!! I will make a journal going into this further. WARNING: I can be a bit of a bitch, i curse a lot, and I have harsh opinions about things. Please, respect my opinions and views as i do yours !! Loading . . . Groups:

Being against tracers/ a bit about how I stopped tracing. (G)
9 years ago If you're reading this you probably read that I don't support tracers. Reason for this being because I do NOT see them as artists.
When I was younger I saw drawings I was jealous of and decided to trace them also. I then realized it wasn't getting me anywhere in the art world and it most certainly didn't help my self esteem. When I was fed up with tracing I began to go on YouTube and study speed paints that people had done, and it helped me see the anatomy, different styles, different ways to color, and different ways to shade. After I saw almost all the speed paints YouTube recommended me I went on to Deviant Art (I am no longer using DA ) and looked at artwork there.I saw that people did Tutorials on anatomy and copied the tutorials and began to do my own little pieces of work. I went to YouTube and watched more tutorials there as well and basically learned that if I were to keep tracing I wouldn't have improved as quickly as I did. And one drawing i had on DA was in fact traced and I got caught by a friend of the original artist. I was able to speak with the artist and told them I was improving and no longer tracing. They congratulated me and kindly asked me to take it down and so I did. They were willing to help teach me a few tricks also. The artist stated that tracing is pretty much ripping her artwork off and others artwork off and that I shouldn't have done it. I basically got a lecture from her and felt pretty shitty. At the time I was maybe 11-12 years old so I didn't exactly know any better or know much about the art world. What this is supposed to mean is even if you are Jealous of the artwork or for whatever other reason you decided to trace the artwork you traced, It doesn't make you an artist. It in a way, in my opinion, makes you a form of thief. Considering artist spend LOTS of time and effort into their drawings please do NOT trace! Just google tutorials, study anatomy, same as I did. It may take a while but at least you're improving your skills. Remember, Anyone can draw if they practice enough. Go look on Pinterest! plenty of tutorials there!! ♥ You may comment your opinion about tracers if you like. I'm always open to hear others opinions and views, though I may not always agree with them. c: User Profile
