Heyooo! I'm Fern the plant Tanuki.

As of the time of writing this (Mar 16, 2026) I am a newcomer to the furry community. I officially joined at the start of 2026, because I realized the people in it are the types of people I want to interact with and spend my time around. I've been looking at furry art and other content years before my decision to officially join, so while I'm "new", I understand (most of) the terminology and have seen plenty of stuff. So don't be afraid of scaring me away or anything. I can handle it :)

I may be anxious, but I really want to put myself out there and meet new people. So please, don't be afraid to say hi.

Even without what we create, we have value. And while I know that you don't need to create art to be in the furry community, I want to find a style I'm comfortable with and start creating art as a hobby. I have aspirations outside the community of course, so art is one of the last things on my to-do list. But if you are interested, it's something to look forward to (no promises!). I may even get into writing short stories. Maybe short stories to go along with the art? I've heard those are pretty popular.

I am a very open person when it comes to communication, and I don't judge people for their interests. You can feel free to message me about pretty much anything. However, understand a few things:

Please understand that I may decide to not respond to your message if I feel uncomfortable about it, or can't think of a proper response. I'm shy, okay! It's nothing against you though.

Even though I'm open to a lot of topics, I still have the right to decline talking about them at any point.

I am not entirely against the idea of RP, but I feel pretty firm about my decision to not RP with anyone unless I get to know them first.
