Thank you everyone for your patience and support while we worked through the notification resync! Our Tech Team has been working overtime to get this resolved in a timely manner.

Here are the changelog notes from Tech:

⚙️ Mini-gallery from Beta is now available to everyone!
⚙️ Notifications older than 6 months have been pruned.
⚙️ Notifications are now visually capped at 9999. (It’s over 9,000!!)
You will still receive notifications beyond 9999, but they will not show on the top menu.
⚙️ Visited links now have a different color.
We will be polishing up some inconsistencies once Tech has had a chance to catch up on some much needed sleep!

This means that going forward, notifications older than six months will be pruned as we have stated in previous journals on this matter.
Other journals on the matter were posted in 2019 and 2025.

After all this, we got a total savings of 15,180,026,202 rows or 1,053,652 MB (~1.05 TB).

Notifications weren't the main focus of this maintenance—just a side quest with convenient timing. Our downtime was primarily used to upgrade our server operating systems to improve performance and stability as we work on upgrading our infrastructure into the 21st century! We have two more of these maintenance windows to schedule with the end goal to continue moving our Dev Friendly Initiative forward. We will announce the next maintenance windows as soon as they are scheduled. On the website’s front end it will not look like our Tech team is doing a lot, but on the back end we are preparing our old codebase for some large changes. This brings us to…

⭐TOWN HALL ANNOUNCEMENT⭐

Last year we held a Town Hall to answer questions from users live and take in popular user suggestions to build our roadmap. We would like to make this an annual event, so we are using this form to gather your questions and suggestions again! The form will be open for the next two weeks. Once it closes we will announce the official Town Hall date. Stay tuned!
