Tribes
There are 3 tribes of Ekitails, and in each tribe there is a Potestatem, or Leader.
They are what is equal to royalty and rule over their respective tribes with peace in mind.
Indomitus Tribe - This is a tribe of warriors. usually found in more coastal areas, they are stronger and more violent than the other tribes, however they do not actively seek out wars or battles, and only fight to defend themselves and their families and homes. They are closer to the medieval idea of 'civilized'. They are after Fire or Earth talented.
Dashak Tribe - This tribe is of nomads, they travel with the seasons and are commonly traders. Often seen like Gypsies, they are more peaceful but also more playful and play more tricks than other tribes, and are usually distinguished by their bright colors. they are often air or water talented.
Lauva Tribe - The Lauva tribe is a native tribe. They live in forests and are more 'primitive' compared to other tribes. They live life simply, from one day to the next, and are easily spotted for their tribal and rustic markings and features. They are often earth or water talented.
Yunvara Tribe - This is not a unified tribe, as much it is a generalizations. Ekitails labeled with this are outcasts, generally lost from their tribe, or expelled, due to injury (missing limbs, blindness, ect..), Punishment (ex - criminals), or lack of acceptance (Ex, a bright colored Eketail is born into the Dashak tribe).
Eketails with shadow talents are instantly thrown into the Yunvara tribe, often seen as dangerous and 'evil', no matter how true the label is.
Talents
- Common -
Water - Ekitails with this ability can control water, and often use it to do tasks such as fish, clean, or general fun. They can help during times of drought by drawing water from their surroundings and the air.
Fire - Ekitails with this ability can control and create fire, heat, and, rarely, magma. They can start fires, cook, and end things such as forest fires and help to cool down long heat waves.
Earth - Ekitails with this ability can control and call the earth. They can speed up the growth of plants, create shelters from the earth, and use rock and plants as means of self defense and to attack. They can help with disasters like famine, land slides, earthquakes, ect..
Air - Ekitails with this ability can control air. They can manipulate the air to allow them to hover, and once advanced enough, they can 'fly' by using air currents to move their body. They can often help dispel storms, and are often entertainers, using their ability to do tricks.
- Rare -
Shadow - Not much is known about this ability, though it is often used violently or uncontrolled, as Ekitails with this ability are cast out and never taught to control their abilitys.
Light - This is a coveted ability, Ekitails with this are usually instantly put into high standing. They can heal, calm groups of people, evoke spirits of the past for help, guidance, and other reasons, and sometimes glimpse the future.
Energy - This is a skill exclusive to the Potestatem's of the tribes, and is gifted to the new Potestatem when they take leadership.
It is an ability that allows them to strengthen not only their own ability, but the ability's of their tribes, to help end problems such as famine, drought, ect..
Ekitails are rarely born with this ability, and when they are it is seen as a sign to pass the title of Potestatem.
