I am but one random bird on the internet. But I'm not comfortable with submitting my face and/or ID to some random social media program. If it does roll out I fully advocate lying by using videos of video game characters. Even if the scans have some ways to figure this out I'm sure competent videos will be made and uploaded that you can easily aim your phone at to use. If I can't work around it like this I'm simply moving onto another program, Discord was not the first I used and it will certainly not be the last (I will not go back to Teamspeak though having to manage it while playing Arma really sucked).

I know this journal won't reach many people, and there will undoubtedly be massive amounts of misinformation spreading on exactly what Discord is doing and how they are doing it. Regardless, I hope internet anonymity can be preserved in some way. For those who don't care, because you aren't minors (better damn be all of you who follow me), I'd assume based on the 70,000+ user facial scan and ID breach Discord already unwittingly caused by rolling out this service in other countries that this data they collect is in no way secure and it is simply a matter of 'when' rather than 'if' it will be breached. If you're comfortable with that gamble there's not much I can say, so many services scrape our data already we're all probably fully doxxed anyways. But I figured it would be helpful to fight off every inch of their progress, otherwise, who's going to stop them? The slow creep of eroding our online freedom continues.
