First of all, happy birthday to all horses. Not sure why everyone's being so congratulatory of them lately. I thought we already took care of January 1st.

Jokes aside, hey hey, folks. I'm back with another Journal, and a bit of an update on me lately.

Let's start with the good, ay?

1. I finally, emphasis on the word "finally" here, finally got a job!!! It's been a lot of running back and forth to obtain the right documents after they fucked up on what they wanted me to bring the first time around, but I've already done two shifts this week and the environment's well enough for me to find it nice as a whole.

2. I've been heavily re-drafting and editing some very old stories and concepts for some fiction pieces I've had in mind since I started out when I was shy of 8 years old. Can't say any of them are coming into the public eye just yet, but I'm happy to be progressing on my own pieces given how much work I've been putting into other's writing these past few years.

3. I got my first ever computer! I've always leeched off old dying laptops I could get my hands on. Best I had could barely run Team Fortress 2 if you really need a reference of how terrible they were. It's still so bewildering being able to open more than 4 tabs at a time and not instantly feel the frame rate die. Or lose all my progress on something because it randomly decided to blue screen/shut off on me. Obviously, I can also play games at a better pace. Just so strange finally seeing more than 360p quality on lowest settings in Hitman: World of Assassination in a tab scaled to the lowest it can go...

You thought I was gonna say the bad? Fuck you. I'm trying to be optimistic in these trying times. Even then, not like much "bad" has happened lately to ME as much as bad is happening generally, so all things considered, these two months have been decent for me as of now. Watch this be my last Journal as I'm shot in the head tomorrow just for spiting God.

ANYWAY. Let's address the "More Changes" part, 'cus I'm sure y'all are sick of that "More of ME!!!" section already.

As you can guess, due to having what we in the employed world call, "a job," I have "more obligations" and "won't be as available, and no I can't babysit your kids next week Jenny I have to deal with putting stickers on boxes and cups for 8 hours. Go ask your deadbeat sister, I'm sure she'd appreciate the 5 bucks to get a Starbucks or something. STOP CALLING ME ALREADY YOU FUCKIN--"

1. I'm doing slots now.

I've always taken pride in the number of clients going "wow this is fast" or "you're really efficient at keeping me posted!!!' and I would HATE to lose that little streak of mine, so I have to acknowledge that even I, a chad as you might say, need to keep a limit between balancing work and play, lest I be a dull... they? Whatever. Please give me more compliments <333333 I will literally kill for them. Or, I could just kill you to prevent it from leaving a mark. One or the other, really.

It's hard to say just right now, but I am certainly keeping at minimum, 3 slots on a reoccuring basis. The way this'll go is standard to most slot commissions, I'd imagine. Just leave your request in my form, I check if I like it enough, we see each other under a candle light late at night, and you leave my apartment pregnant. Because I always deliver. Man, I'm a fucking genius with all these gags in this Journal. ANYWAY. 3 slots per 'round' and when all 3 are done and dusted, I'll likely re-open again. Worst case, y'all know well enough that I can just make a Journal or such to let you know when the next opening might be if I have to stay shut for a while.

2. I'm back to 0.02 per word! No more fixed word counts.

I'm still on the fence about this decision, but I feel it's the best flexible method to prevent anyone from feeling like they have to purposefully trim or inflate a story to meet the "Short" and "Long" options I used to have. Besides that, it didn't seem many ever utilized long to begin with, so it's for the best. I DO intend to keep Vignettes as an option, however! I loved trying them out in my last round, and I sure as hell would do it again if given the opportunity.

3. You've seen this already, but... I'm on SoFurry again!!!

It's... uh... in a state, alright. I dunno how to feel with the way writing is being handled as of now, but I know it was my better platform when I was starting off, so I hold it dearly. Even still, I'm not leaving stuff out from Fur Affinity! Y'all get the same I would there. I'm just letting anyone who uses SF to know they can support me there too if they prefer that.
