The disasters called SOPA and PIPA... (G)

If you've seen my avatar you can probably guess that I oppose both SOPA and PIPA. Why do I oppose them? They run contrary to everything the US stands for; they would do virtually nothing to stop piracy, yet at the same time they would cripple the economy by shattering freedom of speech and internet freedoms.
