This last Tuesday I got my tonsils and adenoids removed. Now I did no where think it would be a pain free, easy breezy ride. Though I'll admit I figured I was bad ass enough to suck it up and get through the week without many ripples....I was so wrong. Nothing on my To-Do list got done. I thought hey I'll be couch bound and get so many crochet projects done, and still be able to do my other job (being is it allows couch sitting) but I even failed at that. Let me just say thank god for pain pills. This recovery has been so ass backwards. The first day after surgery I came home and was like oh this is fine, no issues whats the big deal? the second day I felt a tad worse and made the mistake of not keeping up with med doses and got to the point where i felt like hitting my hand with a hammer just to relocate the focus pain. Then we got today (day 4) and I am seconds from tears. Not from the pain but from the fact I haven't gotten to eat in this amount of time. I've gone from a Burger munching, steak grazing, chip crunching snacker, to a jello slurping, juice lapping, Popsicle sucker. And I'm pretty sure its like the 7th circle of Hell. I have no energy to even pick up a crochet hook let alone anything else. I am a useless lump and there's nothing I can to about it :'(

Just letting you guys know that for those I am working on some projects for that I am working on it and my time frames are off because I was silly enough to think I could treat tonsil removal like a pimple popping. I think I'm heading in the right direction and hopefully can get back on the horse soon. And of course eat like one...only positive thing about this is I've lost 6 pounds in 4 days but I assure you it won't last lol. well that and I can breathe in my sleep now! (the reason I got it done) but anyhow That's why I've been M.I.A i promise I haven't disappeared!
