Just a quick update. I'm still working on getting my Maya Software. Things are tight right now, so in the mean time, I'm doing some loose concepting, storyboarding and writing as well as taking some time to learn blender. There are quite a few things that blender does very well, so until I can get my software, I'm going to keep plugging away at it and getting comfortable in Blender since it's free. Thanks for reading!
