Fate seems to conspire most against the apathetic. Thankfully being apathetic for many years myself, I really couldn't care less. But recently fate has prevented me from doing very much artistic work, and by the same token fate has worked to bring me out of my self-imposed listless funk.

Several weeks ago, in a tsunami of bad luck, I managed to spill water across my entire portfolio of current artwork, as well as the artwork graciously gifted to me by others. All of it. And like, we're talking a lot of water. However it was mostly all pencil work, so I only had a few inked drawings run and ruin other drawings. Those that were saved that fate are just all warped and bubbled, so I'd say they're nearly all a loss too.

Meanwhile my Photoshop developed a sense of self, realized it was illegitimate, and promptly committed software sepuku. *shrugs* That's easily fixed. But to make digital artwork matters worse, I think my tablet got a little wet in the great flood mentioned above. So now it's working kind of wonky, and jumping all over the place randomly.

Since then I just really haven't had the motivation to do any new art. At the time I was pretty 'Meh' over the whole thing, but I also didn't feel like going anywhere near a pencil. Until recently, anyhow ^_^ You see, Daugvolf the surly, pessimistic, nihilist loner wolf is actually dating someone for the first time in years. I've been seeing a very sweet and kind husky boy, who happens to be starting college here in my area, for a little over a week now.

Whats this got to do with drawing? Well, everything if you happen to like my artwork. I got the missing motivation I needed when my husky asked that I draw a picture for the two of us, which I've been working on diligently for days since. I'm still not sure if I'll post it though. I want to show him first, and then make sure he's ok with it being here. But regardless, I'm feeling really really good about art, and just everything in general. So expect good things soon. I know I say that a lot, but this time I really really mean it ^_^
