It was supposed to be my year! Year of the Snake!

Instead it was just chains of failures and disappointments one after another.

I only made some 50 pieces of artwork and 2 music tracks this year, and there's nothing anyone can find that his noteworthy, no matter what you like. Likewise, any major project that I started up on ended up in failure (the Unreal Game and the music album). All in all, there's nothing worth looking back on when it comes to stuff I made.

Of course, this is probably compounded by how much of a roller coaster my real-life stuff has been for the year. Started off the year with car problems that threw me into hardship and derailed any plans I had (and well, ate up a lot money in the process), had to bail my aunt out on groceries during the government shutdown, and just recently had a panic attack over my Battlenet account being inaccessible for a bit due to the authenticator being no good and having to deal with Blizzard's customer support to get things fixed. There's probably a lot more shit that's happened, but I've lost track of it all as time has moved on.

About the only thing that hasn't been a shitshow was work. Despite this year being a supposed bad year for movies, the job at the theater has been smooth sailing and doing more than keeping the lights on for me this year. I've even been offered and suggested that I should try to move up to supervisor if I feel like the bar isn't enough... But with how my aunt is I'm still trying to wait things out for the next three months. My sister and family back east are all talking about trying to get my aunt into assisted living since she's becoming worse with age in regards to doing basic tasks and memory, and it's just now sinking in to my family that letting me do everything isn't really a good idea after all.

But that's about it for how it was in 2025... We'll see if 2026 is any better.
