They call me DapperFox as I am one dapper fox (or so they keep telling me). My hobbies include but are not limited to going on adventures and keeping it classy.

Anthrocon Recap (G)
Once again: what a con!
Though I only attended a few panels, I have to admit being around this fandom has become one of the highlights of my year. I got a chance to see old faces from last year, and meet a whole bunch of new ones. I danced the raves until my legs shook from the pain; and danced the stage to the point I'm going to need a new fursuit. I'm now trying desperately to reset my sleep cycle and readjust to life out in the boonies (to little avail); and get to explain the wild grin I'm wearing for weeks to come.
All in all, so totally worth it. Every cent, second, and drop of sweat; anthrocon was worth it and more. When I came to my first AC last year, I wasn't a furry. I had come to help my sister out with a few things, and figured I'd enjoy it as much as I could. But after the experience that came from it, and then doing it again this year I can gladly declare myself changed in many ways. And even though now I don't particularly enjoy anthro characters more than others; I particularly enjoy the company furries more than almost every other group of people I've spent time with. You're all so wonderful, loving, caring, bubbly, enthusiastic and accepting.
I'm not very good at expressing my inner emotions, often what I feel inside never reaches my face. To compensate I use words where my lack of smile or tears would fail. Some people need to be thanked a few times over, I don't mean to be repetitive but I'd rather use more words than less. So without further ado, the things I should have said:
(I believe I only got a chance to say two of these in person, shame on me >.<)
To kour, chompie, wolfbound, scurrow:
I got to know you guys last year, and it plucks at my heartstings knowing we could pick up where we left off. I'm sorry for being so busy this year, chasing my tail in circles and all; it was wonderful to run to you guys whenever I had the time. You guys made last con as much fun as it was, and did the same again this year. ^.^ I'm eager to see you again, sooner than AC if possible. :)
To kotto, gale_frostbane, snapback, flinch, Silverwolf (If anyone has silverwolf's FA PLEASE send it along, I can't seem to find him. >.<):
I know I seem pretty confident on the outside, and I even have a habit of playing that sort of thing up as if I don't have problems in order to hide the fact that I do. But my sister will attest that between 7:15 until about 7:35 I was sitting in the headless lounge across from the SOP ballroom and was adamant I wouldn't be going to the prelims. She managed to get me over there, but it was the warm welcome of friends, and kind words from you few in particular that kept me on my feet. By the time I was called up for the first survival round, I was still a bit scared but with all of you amazing dancers declaring my talent I couldn't stand down. By the time I thought I was being called up again, I didn't even hesitate to scramble my head on (even though I didn't need it). I can't thank you all enough, you're the reason I made it through prelims.
There were a few others who offered words of encouragement, it was hard to make everyone out with how little I cans see in the suit.
To kotel:
I haven't forgotten about our starbucks run (or lack thereof), next time we're in the same place it's on me. So sorry about my business, it was an absolute blast the time we had running around. ^.^
To flinch:
We talked briefly about this, but I'd be remiss if I didn't include it. Thank you for reminding me that the people we idolize are just as human as we are. Getting a chance to talk to, and befriend someone I watched in awe the previous year was an experience I don't think I've ever had before. You're an inspiration and an absolute treat to be around.
To yamishizen:
A lot of people, many mentioned above as well, gave me support to help with the actual dance competition; but something about your words made many of my worries shatter before they set in. You made me feel like I was meant to be up there, and I don't think I realized until I was about to go up just how much it helped. You're a wonderful dancer and have an even more wonderful heart; thanks for being there.
