Here's an important topic I didn't cover in my last journal. The aesthetics! My 'sona's visual theme, if you will.

"The Wolf" provides a good base for my character, but I want more! There's so many cool features in different animals, and fictional races. How do I choose? Better question. Why should I? A red anthro wolf is already pretty far from reality, why should I limit myself with a pre existing animal, real or fictional?

Throw off those chains, and I have freedom of expression to create and do whatever I want. After all, isn't that the point of making a fursona and wearing a fursuit? I'll take the big face from a wolf, and the smooth ears from a jackal. I'll take the coat from a big cat, and his pointy ears too. I'll take the lanky body of a coyote to match my own. I'll take patterns from other fursonas and mix them up in my own colors. I'll give him a bright red tongue, and scorching eyes.

Just as I can be whatever I want to be, so my creation can be whatever I want him to be. He's used parts and recycled ideas, the best ones I could find. He's my "Frankenstein", just as handsome with none of the scars. He's too cute to be a monster, and to menacing to be anything else. He's an escaped inmate from my sewing table, but I let him run. He's more like me than he'll ever admit. He's distinctly indistinguishable, not a wolf or a cat or a coyote.

He's just a creature.
