What is Spiris? (brief history)

Spiris is a world a lot like Earth. Plenty of water and vegetation to go around as well as oxygen. But, there has been this thing growing for as long as time has been around: despair. It has grown and evolved in the shadows, affecting every living thing it comes into contact with. This thing triggered the Lost Spots and folk becoming lost (more on that later).

These races each have their own spirit animal. But only a few can even access their’s. With proper training, those that are lucky can unlock their full power.

In Spiris, only one species is intelligent like people: the spirit folk. There are many anthropomorphized races walking about. the most notable differences are the herbivores and carnivores. For a while, carnivores were on top. Back when physical strength was the only deciding factor in status. But as the races evolved, herbivores grew angrier. This eventually led to the Great War. This expanded over quite a few decades until the carnivores realized their strength wasn’t enough. They were defeated, which led the herbivores to truly take over. Now they dominate most of the races that exist in this world.

With all of this despair, the thing spread and grew. It created what are known as Lost Spots. These are areas that are abundant in the thing and draws the lost into them. If a lost soul were to wander in, they may never come back.
