Ok so here it is, my furry story.

So basically when it all started when I was 6 years old back in early August of 2007 and I was watching my sisters play SpyroTheDragon on their PlayStation 1 and I was watching in amazement that they were able to actually control what was on the TV, eventually I was offered a go on the game and as I was playing it I thought "God I wanna be a dragon" and then that's when my brain grew pointy ears and a tail.

Through out my child hood I grew very fond of dressing up as animals, from being a goat a play school, a Spyro face paint in playschool, a goat and a cow in primary school, a raccoon for Halloween, Rudolph at Christmas. I just loved it, I liked being an animal as I found it kinda made me more social, just a bit. But eventually I kinda forgot about the idea of dressing up as animals until 2012 when I got my first Xbox and I started playing video games, and that's when my furry side returned to me once again. I always played as an animal character as I didn't like being a human role, I just found it boring. In Skyrim & Minecraft in particular I had this character which I guess counts as my first fursona, he was a ginger cat called Tuck, the name coming from my childhood beanbag plush cat Tuck who was named after Tuck from one of my favourite YT channels ScoobyHubby. He was a weird character but I just loved playing as him so much, my friend at one point even said to me "You Remind Me Of A Furry" to which I had no answer as I simply had absolutely no idea what those were at the time.

Eventually I grew out of playing on Xbox and switched to PC where I started playing alot of PC Minecraft, It was here I invented my kinda 2nd fursona which was uncreativley called 'British Spyro' he was quite simply a Spyro with a British accent, nothing exiting. So eventually I got into FNaF and deiced I wanted to be one of them instead so for nearly 2 whole years I played as a BonnieTheBunny with the username Wezzaben. I made alot of friends in doing this until I wanted to try something new and unique so I changed to a Dalek character called Dalek Clankz, I chose the name for him cause I though it suited him. Only a week later I got bored of being a dalek so on the 1st Of June 2015 I deiced to be an animal again and I chose between a Sheba and a Husky and I chose Husky, then once I found a suitable skin which was a regular husky with blue eyes and a combat blue collar then I changed the name to Clanks by replacing the Z with an S and Boon, Early Clanks was born.

After a couple days of this my friend who was a furry ( Blue_Wolf ) came to me and said "Hey dude I've noticed you've been playing as a husky alot, are you a furry now too?" I asked him what a furry was and he told me to look it up. At first glance I was a little freaked by what the internet said and asked told him, to which he replied sternly saying not to listen to those sites and then proceeded to send to some links to videos and sites about furries that actually explained it properly. Once I found out about the fursuiting part my inner child woke up suddenly and I was like HECK YES I NEED THIS IN MY LIFE! The first video I saw of furries was https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DO5vYERjwP8 and I just remember looking at the suits and thinking "That is so cool!" and then loving how much joy they brought to the children. I then noticed the blue fox ( Viper Fox ) and though "I wanna be like him!" so I got onto Paint.net and recoloured my husky character's white areas to blue and his eyes to dark orange.

After a couple hours I then thought whether or not I should make him a fox or a husky, so I made a very rushed and ref sheet using a template I found on Google. His name had the Z back in it and so he was now ClankzTheFox for 3 days, then I changed my mind and changed it back to Clanks as I felt it was easier to say. So at this point Clanks was a tall cyan blue and black husky with orange eyes, combalt blue highlights on the tips of his ears, and a red collar. His description was simply a 14 year old Time Husky with 3 hearts who in time husky years was 1973 years old, that's right he is indeed already an alien.

Clanks was now pretty much the same for most of the time, with the design taking on a few alterations here and there such as having a shark fin for a short while and then to wings and then to just spikes which he has today. As time progressed I became a tiny bit more social on a site called SoFurry but didn't really have many friends. It was quite a lonely few months getting into the fandom and plus I assumed at the time there were barely any furries in the UK. That was until I found a video on Youtube by a lovely couple called SticksTheFox & EdwardFuzzypaws ( Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NTU3Rk3TDFQ ) and from that moment I though "THERE IS FURRIES IN THE UK!!!" and then I freaked out and probably cried a little and...you get the idea. I watched alot of Stick's and Ed's other videos and became a fan of them so I created some fan art for them, followed them on twitter and sent it. The whole time I was thinking to myself "Surely they won't see it, they have so many followers their notifications are probably stacked!" ( This is the younger me btw, I don't think of people this way anymore trust me lol ) and yet in only 20 minutes I get a response from them that went along the lines of "OH MY GOOOOOOOD!" and from that moment I suddenly didn't feel so alone anymore.

Over time I got to learn meet all the others that were in the videos and finally felt like I was starting to fit into the community, I was now meeting new people from here and there not really caring how many followers I had but rather just meeting new people in the fandom.

======================My First Fursuit...==========================================================================

I was in dunelm and I was shopping with my Dad until one minute I noticed a certain isle...FOAM! the first thing that came to mind when I saw it was "I CAN MAKE A FURSUIT!" so I brought some and took it home, by this point my mum was beginning to get used to me being a furry. So through out the creation of it she helped me sow, glue and basically helped me create the suit head. In this time my birthday had passed to, I went to see Zootropolis that day :D

Anyways in the end when the suit head was finally finished I did find it a little patchy and today you can certainly tell the difference to my new one, but I stand by it to this day as it is a very fond memory of when I first became a furry, it kept me happy when I wished I had a full suit and is was made with the help of my amazing mother and for that I still love that suit head to this day! > TO BE CONTINUED<
