Wow. I really do have a tendency to drop off the face of the planet. I was going through a bit of a dry spell with art for most of January, not because I was feeling really uninspired so much as between work and trying to finish book 13 of the Wheel of Time I didn't have a whole lot of free time. I'm going to have a lot less if I land a second job at a health food store, but at least then I'll be able to start paying off my car with gusto. That's right, gusto.

I've also been picking away at a steampunk costume for myself. It's going to be far simpler than I tend to draw steampunk at least to begin with. Not really a bad thing though, considering that my budget is pretty much constantly restricted and the character I'm building for this is a mechanic. Probably from the lower class. Not a whole lot of frills or anything, just a plain old servicable coat and trousers. I'll have to add tools and maybe a hat later, but I think to start it's not a bad place at all! I'll take some photos of THAT project as I have more than a half finished mockup to show for it.

Oh yes, and we've FINALLY gotten some winter! The pond is frozen and I have a snowfort that needs a bit of patching, but it's still there! Life, she is good.
