For almost a decade, I have been a silent, but dedicated, watcher of furry art. It was a secret pleasure of mine, one that I never shared with my friends.
Recently, I have become determined to be more active in my interests. I have taken up sketching, and naturally my subjects deviate towards things furry. I have been teaching myself how to draw- I don't have the time or money to take classes- but I do have a job that give me plenty of time anbd solitude. When I was young I used to draw all the time- werewolves, bears, lions, pigmen, swords, knights, etc. But then I started High school and the art teacher there took my confidence and crushed it. She was more interested in black and white squares than my fantastic subjects. I realize it was immature and stupid to give up on something that I enjoyed so much just because of one person. It was something I regretted, and I hope to reclaim some of that lost joy.
I know it is confusing, but my name is Kyvr (K-veer) not Brune (is there a way to change my user name?). Brune is who I used to be, a large, quiet bear who was kind and wise, but he liked to hibernate too much. Kyvr is a mighty lion who, while a little too sure of himself, is strong and dedicated. Kyvr reflects where I am in my life now.
So without further ranting, I present (very humbly) my meager works. Eventually I'll put up some of the stories I have written over the years. Right now I consider myself a better writer than artist. I admit I feel a bit intimidated by the quality of work I see- but this is a challenge for myself to improve and see where this takes me.
