Things have been difficult lately. For everyone, I think. Not just for me. Bad times all around.

I had a hard week a while back and it left me unable to keep writing in Wretched Gifts. Hell, I almost deleted me entire gallery. I deleted the story on Ao3, and almost wiped it off the internet for good.

I decided that wasn't fair. I shouldn't give up on my goal. But even though I didn't delete the works, I had a hard time coming back to it. Every time I sat down, I just felt heavy.

I couldn't even come to FA, really. There were people who favorited some chapters and I never went to say thanks to them because I figured, what's the point? I'm just gonna delete it anyways.

Sorry to those of you who never got a thanks shout, but thanks none the less.

As a way to get my feet wet again, I re-edited the first five parts. I've been meaning to do it, so it seemed like a good way to get back into the swing of writing.

I gotta say, going and replacing the "First" link in all 43 submissions was a pain in the butt, but I felt it would be good to leave up the original 5.

I hope that some of you go back and read the re-edits. I think they fit a lot better with the main story overall, now.

I also hope to have new chapters to post soon. I can't promise anything, but I want to try.
