Let me introduce myself. My Name is Balto. Balto Star, to be precisely.
I was raised by my mother, Christa, in the sweet little town of Darwin's Hope, New York.

As I was born I had, like all wolf pups, dark fur, and blue eyes. My parents chose my name during a stay in New York City before I was born.
I grew older, my eyes became yellow, and the fur on my stomach, chest, my paws, the underside of my tail and muzzle got brighter and brighter, until they’ve turned completely white. The remain of my for still has a darker, brown-gray color.

In Kindergarten, I somehow started hating my name.
The other kids always teased me because of the animated movie with a dog who had the same name. Time in school wasn’t much better, except that I found some good friends, whom I still have and don’t want to miss in my life.

Today, I am still a shy wolf, I don’t talk much, and I don’t attend parties or go places with too many strangers that often.
