I'm a silly golden retriever! I like making things, except when I forget. I dabble in all the fine arts, though I don't have much to show for it.
I'm a computer analyst/programmer, and specialize in all sorts of web development. I tutor Java and other languages, too.
Aurifer Salavor,
aurum furs all-over;
Aura of salvation
And oral salivation.
Or ou fer; salle d'Hiver
I'm a benevolent creature who exists to help others. While usually dispassionate, I won't think twice before helping someone I judge is in need.
As for furry history... I always had a love of animals, and would always choose the not-quite-human characters in video games (and would later think they're wonderfully sexy), but it wasn't until 2007 that I actually developed a fursona and created a name (I was stuck with some terrible online handle from when I was in grade 7, so I NEEDED a new one). An aurifer is a 'gold producer' (see auriferous rocks).

DogeCoin! (G)
ERMAHGERD DERGECERN!
Wait, I mean "WOW".
So I found Doge in early December and fell madly in love. At our local furry potluck meet, I put a big photo of Doge on the big TV downstairs and left it like that, and everyone was much confuse, so annoy, wow.
A couple days later, someone casually mentioned DogeCoin, and provided a link, and I knew I had to get in there right then. I signed up for a pool and pointed 960 KH/s of mining power at it. Two days later, I had 2.1 million, a value of between 4.6 BTC - 0.5 BTC, depending on when you'd sell it. As it turns out, I sold a lot of it on the lower end, and didn't really understand the market in time to cash out the rest right at the top.
At any rate, a month has passed and now I've got 7.5 Million DogeCoin. I've joined Reddit for /r/DogeCoin, I loaded up the tip bots on Reddit and Twitter, and I've basically spent the last week evangelizing DogeCoin.
The market is a really interesting one. A huge community has built up around DogeCoin, because it's so friendly and approachable and fun. It was made to be mined within one year, so there's a crazy problem with runaway inflation, but we're working against that slowly. DogeCoin is the 13th most valuable mineable cryptocurrency, and the 6th most traded. Investors don't like us, and so a larger percentage of our market cap is held by regular people. When BitCoin tanks, everything else tanks first, and by a larger amount. (On the other hand, when BitCoin doubled our value against BitCoin halved.)
Throughout the entirety of DogeCoin's lifespan, save for an hour or two here and there, it's been the most profitable coin to mine.
Right now, we're working on building out infrastructure, getting the word out to people who haven't heard of us, getting more miners putting out more hashrates, and making neat stuff. Someone with access to bill-printing technology (like bill paper, holographic tamper seals, etc) is making some offline paper wallets with pre-loaded amounts. You can usually find us tipping each-other token amounts (a couple pennies at a time) of DogeCoin. In fact, I'll give a couple hundred DOGE to anyone who posts a wallet address here! You can go to http://DogeCoin.com for some details.
This image really sums up the subculture: http://t.co/75TwGQkQzq
The main wallet for any of these currencies requires you to download the entire blockchain first, and sync everytime you open it. The Android app (search "DogeCoin Wallet") doesn't require that, and instead uses a server to sync your balance. Plus, QR codes and stuff! I'm using a Chrome extension called QuickMark QR Code Extension that lets me select some text (like a wallet address), right click, and turn it into a QR code for my phone to quickly read.
