I am an experienced visual artist here to network and support others, be it through critique, praise or both! There are many bad apples in the the furry art community and I hope that I can shine a light on those of us who truly value art! C'mon guys lets effect positive change! Due to a recovering wrist injury my new contributions will be pretty scarce for a while but I'm hopeful that will change sooner than later.

Art is Commerce (G)

Once again I have taken an extended break from updating on FA. I cant really say I have much of interest to say about myself except that every day I wake up I feel like Im getting one step closer to returning my one true love, painting. Although i feel like i have certainly degraded on a physical level as a painter, I truly believe that mentally I have progressed an artist. Time will tell.
Anyway, FA seems to be the same old story. lots of excellent submissions. some questionable ones and a lot of bad business sense. i recently commented submission by an "artist" who does not bare a specific. His submission was crude, possibly dangerous (it was a weapon) and hilariously overpriced. When I mentioned that various constraints prevented me from buying at the stated price, i received a bizarre rant from the account holder threatening action if I did not "move on".
This is shitty, kneejerk reaction to critique is the standard operating procedure for many artists trying make a living in the shockingly honest world of e commerce. Just remember all, even though this is the net, act as if you are dealing with clients at all times when posting from your account(s). You will alays know how many sales you make every month, but it is much harder to tell how many you have lost..
