It's been awhile since I posted a journal, so I'll start off by saying that I hope you all had a great holiday and that I wish you all the best for 2026!



Changes are afoot! Arcalis has been one of my main characters for a few years now, and that aquatic dragon remains one of my core characters. That said, for some time now, for those that have been watching me you probably noticed a slow shift over to another character... namely Abalus, my woodland dragon. I think I have a bit of a reputation of collecting characters; I admittedly do have moments of "oooo shiny!" and buy adopts that catch my eye. I almost see character adopts like clothes... I try them on for size, see how they feel, wear them for a bit, and decide what to do with them.  Some become core characters that I bring back time and again and continue to explore through art. Abalus started off as an adopt (a missed adopt at that, but that's another story) new to me about nine months ago that just fit like an old pair of gloves - immediately comfortable and just right. I've dabbled with some other characters over that time, but Abalus keeps popping up. 



With a new year, I thought it was time to formally make some changes. The FA account still bears the Arcalis name, but the face of it is now Abalus. Huge thank you to Isvoc for creating this floofy beast in the first place, and although I didn't catch him the first time around, fate had my back and gave me a second chance to bring him home!
