Road Under Construction (G)

Well, just thought I'd post a "heads-up" as to changes on my page. No, nothing's going away, but just an addition of a focus. I'll still post updates to comissions (although, you'll probably just see them on FA!), but now I'll be submitting materials as well.
I'm currently enrolled in ART 124A at CSUN (Drawing), and thought I might share my sketches/doings in the scraps section on my page. Its a basics class (ie. no skill required), but if anything my first experiences have taught me, I probably could use any tips or help I can get.
So...long story short, there will now be scrap postings. Most of it won't be fur-orientated, nor of professional quality, but feel free to toss some improvement advice if you'd like. :)
(edit) I forgot a few matters of business:
First, thanks ever so much to
aurorawolf/
sexyfatwolfess for the wonderful fursona avatar pic! She got my fav color green shirt in there, as well as my near-crazy affixation for cookies! Yum!
Second, what recommendations might there be in materials to begin practicing sketching/drawing in bulk? I bring a HUGE sketchpad and variety of charcoals to class. Is there something on the off-hours that might be more portable-size, along with a practical drawing tool to just practice basic shapes on my own? Cheap's not bad, but I don't mind putting down some money if it'll help with the learning experience. (I just can't see bringing a huge pad w/ 20 pencils everywhere!)
