When your friends change, it can be very confusing. But I find it more confusing the changes I am now seeing in myself. My whole world basically happened in the space of 2 years. If you traveled back to the fall of 2010, I didn't even know what techno music was, "rave" was a mysterious type of party that people went to and that's all I knew, and furries were non-existent for me. The only type of "kandi" I knew was the "candy" that you eat. But I did have subtle qualities as a child of what I am now: I made beaded bracelets with stretchy string, I loved (and still do) my fuzzy stuffed animals, and I've loved dancing to upbeat music since I was very young. But then, I met some very amazing people who showed me that my bracelets were called Kandi, being a Furry can mean snuggling with a stuffed animal on the next level, and techno raving is the kind of dancing I was searching for all along to fill my life. It changed my entire outlook on life, and I don't where this lifestyle is going to take me, but I've decided I'm going to enjoy the dance while it lasts.
