Moving accounts (G)
All right, this has been a long time coming, and I watched my friend and brother from Colorado doing this same thing and it finally spurred me to get off my butt and get it done.
Here's the deal. I've been in the fandom for almost 20 years. When I first assumed the fursona of AngelWolf, I was 15. I thought the idea of a winged wolf was awesome and I really ran with it, making him a part of me and me a part of him. I spent long hours rp-ing and building up his background and his personality, and it changed over and over again through the years, but through the next about 15 years, I always managed to identify with him, my wolf character, symbolizing the wolf inside me.
I went with the AngelWolf name because I always worked in a field where saving lives was kind of the norm, and even when I wasn't, I always saw that as a part of who I was. So that's where the Angel part comes in.
But let's face it, life moves on. The person that you are at 15 is absolutely not the person that you are at 34. Things change. Life changes the way you look at things and the way you look at yourself. If you show me someone who's the same now as they were when they were a teenager who couldn't even drive, I'll show you someone who needs to move out of mommy's basement.
So over the last few years, I've been looking over my life and how it relates to the fandom and whether or not I really wanted to stay a part of the fandom. I always saw it as kind of a kinky little hobby that I'd have to give up one day, and I sort of always expected that I would. But I've made a great deal of friends in the fandom and it's given me opportunities to see places that I wouldn't have seen and do things that I wouldn't have done. It's given me people in my life that I'm proud to call friends, and it's given me a place to showcase my art.
So I'm not going to leave it, but I can't deny that this fursona just doesn't fit me any more. So after watching my friend pack up his furry life and move it to a new account, I'm getting the motivation to do it for mine.
Thanks to all my watchers that have looked in and watched my writing evolve, and I really do hope that you'll continue watching me over at
