I’ve been thinking for a long time about whether I wanted to talk about this publicly.

Not in a dramatic way, not to ask for pity, but simply because this drawing represents something very real in my life.
My grandfather raised me. He dedicated a huge part of his life to making sure I would grow up with values, independence, perseverance, dignity in work, and the belief that no matter where you start, you can build something better.

He worked hard and sacrificed a lot. Despite everything he gave, he never had the chance to own a home of his own. Stability was always something slightly out of reach
As I’ve grown older, moved countries, rebuilt my life, and started building a future with my husband here in Korea, I’ve realized something important. I don’t just want to live, I want to build something that lasts

For most of my life, stability wasn’t somethingg I had. I moved often, I adapted often, I learned very early how to stand on my own feetThat shaped me into someone strong, but it also made me deeply value the idea of having a place that does not disappear.
A home. Not just a house, but a place where we do not have to leave, a place where we can grow roots instead of constantly packing boxes.

I am also reaching an age where we are starting to think seriously about having children. Before bringing a child into this world, we want to be able to offer them stability, a real home, something steady and lasting. That matters deeply to me.. ♡

This drawing marks the beginning of a very concrete goal, saving toward our future home.

To make this possible, we need to secure a bank deposit, and I am setting myself the goal of reaching it by August. Because of my age and our family plans, time matters. This is not a distant dream for someday it is something we are actively working toward now.

It is not about luxury, not about status either, but about permanence, safety, and continuity. It is about giving my husband and myself the stability I've always wished for, and one day giving our children a foundation that feels calm and secure.
In a quiet way, this goal is also for my grandfather, not out of guilt or pressure, but out of gratitude. Everything he taught me about work and self reliance is part of who I am as an artist today. Every commission, every drawing, every late night spent studying anatomy or improving my art style is built on those foundations.

So this is not a sad storry. It's a story about building forward.
I will be working hard on commissions in the coming months.

Every piece of support, every commission, every share truly helps move this goal closer. Step by step, piece by piece, we are building something real.
I do not know exactly how long it will take, but I know we will get there.

And when that day come, when we hold the keys to a place we can finally call ours, I will know that all the work and all the lessons carried me exactly where I needed to be.
