Hello nightcrawlers, static astronauts, and nostalgia addicts.
My name is Zero, and I am a television commercial archivist. I am the operator, and curator of the Analog Zero YouTube channel, which is dedicate to finding, digitizing, and preserving old and forgotten media, with an emphasis on television commercials. However, on my channel you can also find other media such as television shows, cartoons, PSAs, and various television station closers, bumpers, and everything related to the forgotten pages of Television history.
*All content posted and/or uploaded is original content that I have personally found, and digitized from old VHS tapes.*
Please feel free to follow, sub, like, and all that good stuff as I upload new content almost daily.

A cool find and a piece of history. (G)
While reviewing one of the VHS tapes from my processing pile, in between movies recorded to the tape, the programming cut to a CNN breaking news broadcast announcing that Paul Castellano had been indicted and arrested on federal racketeering charges. The broadcast cuts to footage of Paul Castellano being led to a car in handcuffs. This breaking news content dates the recording to February of 1984. It's significant in that at the time, Paul Castellano was the head of the Gambino crime family. There is even a small segment with a state from US attorney Rudolph Giuliani about the arrest. The series of events following his arrest would finally culminate to December of 1985, the next year, when Paul Castellano would be gunned down in front of Sparks Steakhouse in Manhattan, in a conspiracy to replace him as the head of the Gambino crime family. The main organizer of his death being by the man who would succeed him and become one of the modern era's most infamous gangsters, John Gotti.
