I left because I grew out of the furry fandom, and it was taking time out of my school, social life, etc.
I figured that I should start getting on with real life, and improve upon myself as a person.
I had let my already poor social life get even more out of hand, and I have barely passed each school year since I joined (2012)
These few years are the years that you have to make count; getting your GPA up, making friends, going places, getting a job, having fun, and I feel like I have squandered a lot of my teenage years by being in this fandom.
It had also "clicked" in my head, the other day, the sheer ridiculousness of the fandom.
People dressing up in animal costumes? Drawing art of anthropomorphic characters, sometimes even a representation of themselves? Drawing PORN of these characters, who, more often than not, are MINORS?
The fetish art? The drama? The SJW's making up imaginary genders? The other-kin who believe they actually ARE animals? People self-diagnosing themselves with every mental disorder under the sun? The speshul snowflaykz? Do I really want to associate myself with all of this?
I am not denouncing anyone who sees this's involvement and/or enjoyment in or of the fandom, but I myself am washing my hands of this fandom.
I sincerely thank those who have viewed, enjoyed, watched, and favorited my artwork, or who have reached out to me with friendly comments. It truly does mean a lot to me.
