Dogs (G)

I don't believe in a 'dangerous' dog, Pit-bulls, Rottweilers, Doberman Pinchers etc, There is no such thing as a 'bad dog' there is such thing as a bad owner, With a powerful or working breed comes responsibility. Rotties are herding dogs so without the proper amount of CORRECT training they become bored and thus snapping ensues.
Pit-bulls, These dogs smile and naturally have a loving personality they will do anything and I mean ANYTHING to make their owner/owners happy even if their happiness is a selfish act.
Dobermans, Don't let their looks fool you these guys think their a small dog trapped in a large dogs body, Which means they'll jump on the couch with you or even try to sit on your lap. Just remember that all dogs get bored and can even pick up unwanted behaviors due to careless ownership or incorrect or abusive handling, You might read this and think that I don't know what I'm talking about, I do know what I'm talking about I have hands on experience with these breeds and other breeds as well and I have NEVER seen them behave aggressively. Dog attacks only happen when the dirt bag of an owner is teaching the dog commands like 'See that man over there? If he moves get him.' The Rotti for example would much rather lick you than take a chunk out of your skin.
There is a method on how to train these over grown babies, I call it 'The Soft Hands' What that means is, You either teach your dog hand signs for various cues, For example. Get your dog's attention then with your left pointing finger point it upward and with the CORRECT intention your dog should Sit, He or she will not get this right away and frustration simply will not do.
Clicker training, This method is so effective it's scary, How it works is pretty freakin simple, Again make sure you have your dog's attention ( At first your dog might be scared of the clicker, This is normal and they will adjust if you click and notice that he or she is not jumping or trying to escape from the room or yard. ) Once your dog's attention is on you tell him or her to ''Sit'' if he or she does not comply DO NOT CLICK! and do not give a reward, If he or she complies then click and give the reward, Make sure to use excitement and be happy, Remember a dog just wants to make you happy.
I will post a link on clicker training and a video, As for the Soft Hands training that is something I came up with when my dog was still alive.
( NOTE! I started training my dog when he was 4 months old. All dogs can learn at ANY age though. )

Just so we're clear as to why I posted this is merely because as an avid animal lover I CANNOT STAND IT WHEN PEOPLE HAVE THE NERVE TO STEREO-TYPE DOGS! Border Collies are not the only ones who respond to clicker training, My example on clicker training might be different to the website, You can clicker train, Cats, Dogs, Horses and Hell even Birds respond to it.
Keep negativity OUT of dog training or you WILL end up with poor results. One last thing Growling is NOT a form of play should growling ensue during a friendly game of 'Tug O War.' Stop all play immediately! Growling must not be encouraged as it can prompt your dog to nip or even bite.
If you took the time out of your busy life to read this thank you. I'm not asking you to agree with me but there are just too many dirt bag owners out there whom should NOT be allowed to have these gentle giants.
