Posted 10 years agoHey, just wanted to update you guys with some general info about what's to come.
What's happening behind the keyboard lately has been kind of weird. My stress levels have risen since I've been spending all day with my Grandmother, who seems to grow increasingly neurotic over time, and is slowly losing the very concept of logic over time. She makes no sense of anything, and although I've been handling it well and ignoring most of it, she's been taking her toll upon me and I've grown increasingly stressed out. Between her and her cat (which is super old and has the most disgusting meow ever), the mental wear and tear is bringing back some old emotions that I don't want to feel again. I've been doing so well to handle my anger and anxiety, but with my Granny around, it's grown harder and harder to keep up with who I truly am; a happy, loving teenager who wants to simply draw, make music, and write stories.
I absolutely love making new content for you guys to see, and I personally have been enjoying the last few pieces I've uploaded, and for once in my life, I'm drawing for fun, not for attention, and not to become popular. All these years of being a whiny attention whore has finally come to an end, and I'm an artist who simply wants to experiment and screw around and just enjoy myself. All this newfound confidence only makes me want to do more things, but like I said, there's a lot of disorder in my household, and it's wearing me down a bit, so I hope to find a way to disconnect and get back to my own world once again.
In other unrelated news, I do also have some goals for this summer in real life. With my 18th birthday coming up, I'd be glad to get my liscence and find a summer job, as well as earn some cash to get some...things, and stuff. >.>

Posted 10 years agoIt's 2:30 in the morning, I lay here on my bed, a bloated lizard, thinking about all the fun I've been having with my life lately and how excited I am to draw because of you guys.
I feel like I don't often show enough appreciation for all the things you guys do for me, but I do really love all of you and I love everything you do for me. From comments to faves to notes to watches, to even simply saying Hello every once in a while, you all make my life complete. Being a furry is the biggest part of my life, and all of you guys make being a furry so much fun. I can't ever tell you this enough, but I love you.
Now I guess I really ought to get to sleep. I'm feeling sickly 'cause I decided to have an all-nighter and I kinda bloated myself on water and pretzel sticks. >.> Bad idea.

One day, however, something went horribly wrong for poor ol' Blimp-O, and he ended up destroying the entire circus tent he performed in after he burst like the living balloon he was. He was found within the shredded tatters of the tent perfectly ok, but the company he was performing with was quite angry with him, and ended up firing him. Years later, he finds himself desperately trying to make ends meet on the streets a homeless man, but people don't seem to be interested in his act anymore. That is until he gets a big break from a certain lizard...

Posted 10 years agoWell, look who's back! It's none other than your friendly neighborhood lizard blimp. He chuckles and takes a seat on the couch, sighing.
I'm back, everybody! Yay! My Memorial Day weekend was quite eventful, and I spent it all up in Jacksonville as most of you may know from my previous journal. I'm going to try and keep this short, as I'm tired and not very well-maintained... His hair is frazzled and a light odor emanates from him. So here's the shpiel:
We left for Jax last Friday around 2 p.m and rode two highways up North for about 5 hours, with a couple stops for dinner, stretches, and bathroom breaks as well as refueling my Mom's 10-gallon tank (it's a tiny car with plenty of space in it, so I wasn't too badly cramped). We were greeted by my Aunt and Uncle with some pizza and whatnot and got settled in for the night.
The next day we got some breakfast from a fast-food place called "Hardee's," which is really more like an actual restaurant than anythig as their food was high quality, and mostly relaxed for the day. We went to Lowe's and got some stones to build a fire pit, and set it up, enjoying some S'mores that evening while watching UFC and whatnot. A pretty chill day with plenty of chit chat about random stuff, getting up to speed with stuff.
Sunday came, and...I don't want to speak too much about it. We went to a party with my Aunt's family, and...it was depressing as hell. I had a bad bout with depression ghat lasted the entire party. Usually going to parties makes me depressed, but this hit me hard this time around, and even my Father got emotional over some personal stuff, so it wasn't great, to say the least. Talking to 
shadowwolfdragon12 really helped me out a ton, so I'd like to give major kudos to him for that.
We then enjoyed some more time around their house today before finally packing up and leaving, much to my disappointment as I didn't quite want to leave. Although as I say that, this trip was quite refreshing...I got a new appreciation for life, and finally coming home after all that made me feel better about everything, and I gained a new appreciation for the area I live in.
All in all, the trip wasn't fantastic, but it was refreshing, and I enjoyed it to some extent.
Now, it's back to the daily grind...

Posted 10 years agoUsually when I post these journals that say, "I'll be gone for the weekend," I usually end up still being active on Fur Affinity, but this time around, I think I will actually be inactive for the next few days.
I'm looking forward to a good time with my Aunt, Uncle, and parents this weekend up in Jacksonville, which is 5 hours from where we live, and considering we're leaving tomorrow afternoon, something tells me we'll get there awfully late. But that's besides the point. Depending on whether or not I decide to stay logged into Skype over the weekend, I may still be active (as they do have wifi), but seeing as I want to unplug for a while and enjoy family time, I may only be on to clear notifications/reply to/ fave every now and then, but seeing as I normally don't post art here anyways, you may not find my normally sparse activity decrease. But who knows?
I'll keep you guys posted as I always do.
I'd also like to mention that my school's Talent Show was today, and needless to say, someone asked for my autograph because they knew I'd become famous.
And to this I said nothing, as I was left speechless.

Posted 10 years agoBuckle up, my friends, 'cause this is probably going to be a big journal.
First off, I'd like to mention that I'm going to be working on some stuff this week for am upcoming Talent Show, and is probably the last time we have one, since the drama teacher is retiring this year, but that's besides the point. I'm going to be performing quite a few times. They've asked me to be the MC again this year, since the last time I did it, people loved it, so I'm going to be that guy again. I'm also going to be doing a solo drum and vocal performance, and becausr a certain someone (
) was so kind as to show me a wonderful song, I'll be singing "Rain" from Cowboy Bebop, and I'll be drumming to "Lonely Boy" by the Black Keys. I'll also be doing some gentle brush drumming behind some other stuff and helping out with others' performances, gentle harmonies and whatnot. So, I'll be quite busy this week, so if I'm not on Skype most of the week after school, it's because I'll be awfully tired from a day of practice.
I'm most likely not going to be on this weekend either, because I'll be going to Jacksonville to see my aunt and uncle. We'll be hanging out, relaxing, probably have some drinks (not me because age), enjoy some good food, and play some video games as well. So it's gonna be a lot of fun, and I might not ne on Skype, but considering I'm taking my phone with me, I'll most likely be on sparsely.

Two Thoughts - Minotaurs, and is Dustin Unoriginal?
Posted 10 years agoThe first thing I have to say is that I love swine and bovine creatures. Pigs, warthogs, Minotaurs, etc. Like, in Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock, the Minotaur and Warrior Lars are my fave characters, they're really cute/hot to be honest. I know it sounds weird finding Guitar Hero characters attractive, but you know...I'm weird like that.
My second thought is that I find myself a bit concerned about the development of my character. If you think about it, Dustin Bach is just me, but as a shapeshifting son of Anubis that also happens to be a shapeshifter, two clichés amongst furry characters (according to a parody I saw), and he literally has no backstory other than that. Like, after the death of his Nana (which is my Nana irl), he runs away from home and finds out his true family is Titan and Anubis. That's it.
So, Dustin is unoriginal??
Idk...Smash 4 Jealousy - Still Wanting to Get/Play It
Posted 10 years agoSo, all this talk of the latest Smash game is kind of upsetting for me because I've played/owned every other Smash game except for this one, and this one looks exceptionally better and more interactive than the precious ones. I'm desperately wanting to get my hands on it, but I'd have to buy a brand new console just to play it, which is way too costly and out of the question.

Posted 10 years agoJust to let you know, I am feeling better now. Talking to a few friends and some of my family members helped me out. Thanks to those of you who put up with my shit and helped me out of this slump. I love you guys.
I guess I just tend to forget that it's the small things that matter, not about being a huge popular artist or someone who helps all of humankind, but just loving your neighbor that truly matters. Plus I have a whole life ahead of me and I can't let the stresses of 17 affect my future.
Also for fuck's sake I need to stop skipping school once a week. I ought to just go even if I am sick.
