Holy shit! Where does the time go?

I can't recall the last time that I came around these parts, but it's been years. The older that I've gotten, the faster these years seem to go. Blink and you'll miss it!

Life tossed a good amount of changes in my direction over the past handful of years, some of them wanted and some of them were forced change. It has taken a good amount of time in putting pieces back together and feeling (ab)normal again. I never thought as the years went on, that I would have any questions internally about who I am as a person. It's also rough sometimes to look at yourself, and not even recognize the person there anymore. That's effectively the summation of a number of years in a very over simplified description.

I hope to be able to make new contributions here, soon. I miss being able to sit and work through some art for myself or others - it was better than sex! Well, maybe just better than all the bad sex. :)

So here's to not a new beginning, but just a continuation down this road on these four paws of mine!

I figure I'll keep posting thoughts along with whatever art I post up. I'm feeling like my dry spell is pretty well finished as I have a number of pieces on the art desk that are almost done being colored, a bunch that are almost done being inked, and a number that are being roughed up in pencils. It feels good getting back to something that resembles being productive and cramping up my paws with some scribble action.

Its either that, or masturbation. Both make a mess.

Aside from that, i'm seeing what new things life tosses my way and what that inspires on the art table. As with anything, it seems to be a perishable skill.. or will atrophy if not used and abused.

Longest figurative "Monday" of my life has finally come to a close. What does that mean for you? Probably nothing! What does it mean for me? A whole lot of change, some of it wanted and some of it forced upon me.

But life goes on, and so do I. And the show.. I hear that the show must go on as well!

Until I figure out what that all means, I think I'll start putting some time into being scribble-y pawwed again. I meant to get some things up at the tail end of 2016, but fuck 2016.. right in it's shit eating muzzle. Here's to 2017 being nice and productive...but mostly nice.

I feel like my life is a series of Mondays, where I keep breaking my shoelace, keep spilling coffee in my lap, keep wracking my shin on a flight of stairs, keep locking my keys in my truck.

I can't wait for Tuesday!

2013 by and large has been a hectic year - I can't recall a time being any more exhausted. I feel like the hustle is settling, and i see the weather changing seasons from (what passes for) warm to cool, outdoor activities are fading as fast as the afternoon sunlight.

I feel reasonably satisfied that I have been able to carve out more chunks of time that I can throw a few scribbles on paper, or spill a few ink lines, Slowly but surely all these piles of paper move into different piles of paper!! I feel that I have enough ideas, sketches, roughs, etc.. to feasibly keep myself busy for years to come.

I wish I could make clones of myself to help me - but we'd end up fucking... a lot.

Maybe... maybe not entirely.

But the scribbles happen in short bursts, varying degrees of completion. Work work consumes <40 hrs a week + life, dogs, partner, house, mundanity... the time left over is divvied up between essential and non-essential, and somewhere in this mess a little bit of sleep happens whether I want it or not. :)

I feel pretty retarded right now because I don't have anything to bawl or crybaby about. I see a lot of that (just sayin') and I feel like I've come to the party and didn't bring a gift.

My sister once tried to eat her own face.

Shit happens.

Sorry for delays and what not. Shit happens. Life tends to go faster the more you have to take care of. It goes faster with more responsibilities. It goes faster with age. Priorities shift and move and more time slips by. Not quite sure if I've achieved curmudgeonly status yet...

Perhaps i should stop eating turkey.

I'm hoping to get back on track shortly. in the meantime, I ran into a couple pieces in a scanpile that never made it to the scanner, and something else I'd warmed up on.

Moving most of the WIPS and Promo stuff and what not over to scraps. Had to clear the way, I've been neglectful.

Also trying to catch up on long forgotten art work and stuff tossed by the wayside. There isn't enough hours in the day really, but I'll do my best to chip away at everything on the artdesk. :)

It was delayed, I couldn't post anything at all revolving around it. But now, officially, it's finished and set for release within the next month or so.

It's been a lot of work from a lot of people to bring you the third volume in the ongoing Heathen City universe. There's a load of stuff that culminates this issue, answers questions left dangling from the first two volumes, and opens the door to more action and unfettered mayhem.

Who is Yaffa and who is unfortunate enough to get in her way?

What the hell ever happened to Malloy?

Who the fuck is Lombardi and what are his stakes in this game?

Will this end well for anyone?!

There's only one way to find out. :)

Really... if 'they' could just milk husky noses for all their fluids and put them into engines.. All engines would run cool, all the time.

On a different note, wrapped up another 16 page story for Heathen City 3, due to come out this summer :) I did get to do some pencilling and inking this time around...using more ink than I've ever used at one time. Also got to work at a standard size comic page ( 10x15 to 11 x 17" or whatever weird dimensions I had to work at this time. :) Though I didn't have the opportunity (or time!) to do the colors, I was and still am truly honored and humbled that  ssirrus stepped in and destroyed most of her life in order to put pretty colors, tints, and hues to my set of pages. They are fucking awesome!!

 osfer spun a pretty neat yarn and a lot of arty types have cramped a paw and lost plenty of sleep getting ready to bring all of this to you, the adoring furry world :) I only know bits and pieces, with Mr. Vance carefully relelasing snippets of details to the artists and then hoarding the rest. So secretive has he been that he doesn't sleep for fear of uttering any details whilst not in complete control!

Previews and promos and what not will all be filling the inter-tubes shortly. More details on all the different art types will be coming shortly. :)

* Sorry for not posting. Aside from Heathen City, normal work keeps me pretty damn busy.. aside from having what passes for a life. :) The aim is to work on and post a bit more of stuff I am allowed to post. :)

Ok, the title is misleading. But the name of the game remains the same! 3Way is a combination of species to make something altogether new. Rules are simple, all you have to do is PM me with a species. A SINGLE species, don't be giving me none of this shit like a 'liger'... we all know ligers aren't real. Giving me inane stuff like 'Republican' as a species only earns you a disqualification. Sorry.. I take my 3Ways rly srsly. :)

It's a good story. Some guy that essentially lives with the lions, utilizes the methods of understanding for interacting with lions instead of standard training methods (not having trained lions, I do not know what methods would be available anyway).

I know it's nothing new to the bulk of the furry population regarding animals... Still, neat story, good pics that go along with it. :)

Thanks for the participants in that whole deal. It was fun to try out some new things.. and each one of them had something different, which was cool. It's pretty easy to get locked into a certain mode and it's nice to get a chance to step back and see something come along that's a bit different than what I would ordinarily think about trying. (like a dragon, a ball python.. )

But it was cool, and thanks to the ones that got them, and the ones that tried.

I'm sure to have another experiment of another type... prolly a few here and there. It'll be on a whim.. that's the way it works.. kinda :)

I started doing character sheets, and they're kinda fun to mess around with.. ya know, the whole 'front', 'side', and 'rear' angles. I'd like to get a bit more fluid with them, however, and the first 3 folks to PM me with a 5 line description... reasonable descriptions..don't get carried away ;) But the first 3, I'll crunch out character sheets for.. should be fun, right?

This isn't anything to do with people watching me, but I've been very appreciative and happy at all those that have hopped on board. :) Art doesn't exist without people looking at it.

This is more to do with artists that do not watch other people or have any favorites. It's no surprise that there has been a debate about it, the reasons why. There are 2 reasons that I am privy to: 1- An artist does not want to show favoritism towards anyone. 2- An artist is so involved in their own world that they do not look at other people's art.

My reasoning has been #1. I did not want to show any level of favoritism towards any one person.

I don't think this is right, however... what I favorite is what catches my eye, what I enjoy, what garners an aesthetic reaction from me for whatever reason. I'll admit, the last thing that I want to do is generate or create any level of drama or have anyone with hurt feelings. But.. moving forward, I'll favorite what I like. It's why a site like this exists... for people to look at and continue watching artists that they enjoy.

It's no offense to anyone at all, and I hope none take offense if I favorite one person's art, yet not another. It's just what an aesthetic preference is.. it is something that pleases me. I can't say why, it just is. :)

and with 2.5 million submissions now.. one certainly couldn't fave them all (but I dare someone to try!!).

Thanks again to those that find my scribbles to be worth watching and I look forward to finding other folk's art that I can fave too. :)

Howdy all!

First, sorry for the mass re-postings of everything that everyone has seen before. If you haven't seen it previously, you have now. :)

There are 2 main reasons why I switched accounts. I had come to the realization that my process in scanning my art had been off. Rather, it had been a busted monitor. I really did not pay all that much attention to the fact that my monitor malfunctioned, as did I.. because I never saw what my art looked like on another screen. Thank you to the people that said that what I was posting looked like it had been washed out by the scanner. The short of it, I'm oblivious sometimes. :)

Second reason, is one that I can't really say much about. But Heathen City # 2 will be coming out.. it will be coming out sooner than later. I'll get beaten with a spiked club, By Alex Vance, if I divulge too much more. but there's art! I wanted a 'clean' start, so to speak.

I also could not re-use the same name, nor could I use 'Zoosh' *shakes fist at whomever took the name*... so ZooshWolf it is. :)

There will be more art coming up in the near future. I had to wrap up for HC, and that was no slouchy job. :)

Now, it's back to the art desk. Pencils don't move themselves! Thank you for watching, I'll keep trying to post stuff worthy of watching. :)
