December and Beyond
Posted 4 years agoI'm thinking a lot about the future; right now. As it stands I'm not sure when I'll be taking commissions again, apart from rare special cases here and there. I feel like I should, because I still struggle a lot with what I should be able to do, versus what I actually can do.
But maybe I also just need a long-term break. I appreciate all the support but I'm severely burnt out and, while I don't necessarily need commissions to be fun or challenging, I need to be able to focus on them, and right now it feels like the time and energy I'm spending trying to write is mostly going up in smoke in the air. I need a change of pace for a little bit. So I do apologize to the people I've kept waiting, and the people who were hoping to commission me soon, but it doesn't feel like the ability is... there.
I will finish my owed commissions, that shouldn't be a problem, and everything should be done before the end of the year. But I'm still figuring out what I need to do to get the ball rolling again.

Ladder Auction Slot
Posted 4 years agoOkay so.
Since I kind of screwed up the last auction, I wanted to give everyone a fair shot at a final slot.
This one will be a week long, starting now, and going to Friday 8th. Amount spent determines length of story.
NO LIMITS on this one. So it won't have to have a Halloween connection, or anything like that. The only limitation is that I'll write it AFTER I finish the first three slots that were auctioned off.
It will end at 11:59 GMT -6, CHICAGO if you need a city to go by, which should be 9:59 Server Time.
> SB at 50 USD.
> Bid increments of 5 USD
> PLEASE reply to comments in a chain so people are aware of who has outbid them, thank you!
This will be a Ladder Auction: bidding starts at 50 USD, for a 5K word story. If it goes over 150 USD, then I'll allow up to 10K words. If it goes over 300 USD, then I'll allow 20K. Autobuy at 600 USD will be 30K!
Please do not delete comments, and be ready to provide payment up front! (Or in 2 installments for 100 - 200 USD, or up to 4 installments if 201 USD and over)

Derp, giving a bit more time for Auction
Posted 4 years agoI got my times mixed up and forgot to fix it, so I'm going to let the auction go for another ~90 minutes. Sorry about that!
Halloween Commissions
Posted 4 years agoI love Halloween. It is my time of year.
To celebrate, I'm going to auction three slots: Auction will close at 1200 Server Time on October 4th. The slots will be Short / Medium / Extended Length stories
The only limit is that these stories will have to be Halloween themed. So that means darker themes, monsters, etcetera.
Slot 1: SB - 50 USD / AB - 100 USD
Slot 2: SB - 50 USD / AB - 300 USD
Slot 3: SB - 50 USD / AB - 500 USD
Payment up front is preferred; installments or 50% upfront / 50% upon completion is also acceptable.

September.
Posted 4 years agoI am very tired these days. I have a dozen projects I'd love to get done, all bouncing around in my head, but I think like... even though I've taken a break from commissions, I've still been trying to force myself to write and get things done and I think it's ended up contributing to my burnout rather than allowing me to "experience creative freedom."
I know, I know. I'm like an addict, trying to shake out another high.
It feels bad still to actually take time for myself, though. To try and not worry about things. How do people not worry about things?
I am keeping busy with my real-world stuff, as exhausting as that can be at times. Horses motivate me in a way that even writing doesn't. And better yet it's not staring at a screen, which is actively becoming harder these days because of some personal issues. It's also something... measurable. Like, you can't physically measure progress or improvement with writing, how good you are, how bad you are. You can absolutely get a vague idea of it by going back and reading a story you wrote a few years ago and being absolutely horrified at what you wrote back then, yes, but it's really hard to map improvement. Or to feel your own improvement as you write: everything feels the same until you go back and see how much progress you've made. And even then, it can be hard.
Teaching a giant animal a trick or getting it from "will kill you for looking at it wrong" to "grudgingly allows you to ride it for a short period of time," then. You know you've made improvement.
I like that.
I might accept a few really short, no pressure commissions. The problem is that for the foreseeable future I'm unfortunately not going to be able to give any sort of timeframe for my writing anymore, and I find that super frustrating. But snippets I can probably get done relatively quickly, without too many problems. Although at the same time depending on how busy I am and how much my brain wants to cooperate, it could still be a week or two, and that. Annoys me. Believe me, I get more frustrated with how long it takes me to write than most of my clients do.
Well, just gotta keep moving, right? Adjust, adapt, overcome.

Regarding Commissions
Posted 4 years agoSo if I owe you a commission, I'm going to do what I can to get it done, but it might take a while.
Unfortunately I will no longer be accepting commissions for an indefinite period of time. I'm suffering from some health-related problems that have been interfering severely in my normal day-to-day, let alone working on commissions. I apologize to the people who have been waiting for a chance to commission me: in the future, when things are perhaps more under control, I may be able to accept limited batches, but for now I can't.
Thank you, and sorry again for the delays and difficulties. I appreciate everyone's patience more than I can say.

Updates, and Looking For A Writer
Posted 4 years agoI'm about halfway through commissions: I apologize for it taking so long, I had a touch of the plague and slept for like a week. Which for me is absolutely terrible because I'm generally one of those people who sleeps like, three or four hours a night and functions fine. Without that much caffeine these days, even, since I'm turning into an old and my blood pressure is terrible.
Come hell or high water commissions will be finished this month, and then I'll be taking a break.
Speaking of writing, I'm interested in commissioning a story about my characters because I think it would be super neat and I just don't have the time to write some of my ideas while working on so much else at once and continuing to get mauled by large hooved animals that could kill me at any moment. I'm super flexible, to the point where if you had a sexy idea involving my characters I might even pay you to write it!
I suppose I'm also semi-open to writing trades, but you'd have to wait until next month for me to get to work on it.

March Commissions Closed
Posted 4 years agoI've gone through and selected the commissions I'll be doing in March: I'll be taking these on at a slower rate to try and avoid burning myself out as I mentioned before. Thanks everyone for all the interest, I always appreciate it!
MARCH Commissions
Posted 4 years agoI will be taking four or five commissions in March: 5K - 10K words strongly preferred unless you're willing to pay a surcharge. Commissions will also be completed at a slightly-slower rate as I have a lot of things going on at the moment and I'm trying to pace myself a little more to avoid burnout. I'll wait a few days, then pick out the ones that interest me most rather than first-come, first-serve: I'll try and let everyone know on Friday 26th if they've gotten a slot or not.
Story Auction - December [Closed]

Bidding ends November 30th, 11:59 PM CST.

Legacy Chapter 1 - Comic by TheHades
Posted 5 years agoOver on InkBunny, Hades is selling a comic he put together, Legacy, for just 5€. It's a cub comic, so not for everyone, but he's a great artist and it looks like the start of a really interesting story, too.
If you're interested, you can go here to get a hint of the comic and see how to order: https://inkbunny.net/s/2292497
He's done me a lot of good turns, so I thought I'd send anyone who might be interested his way, since he's a great guy who more'n deserves to make a bit of money off his hard work here.

Happy Halloween
Posted 5 years agoEverything is terrible, but at least it's Halloween. A cool crisp night ahead, hopefully full of candy and costumes for at least some of us.
The world is bizarre and often not great, but that's all the more reason, I think, to make the most of these moments we do have, where we can practice a little escapism, or just enjoy being scared, or a bit of adventure, a break from the routine.
Take care out there, but also take a risk, and have a little fun where you can.

October
Posted 5 years agoHooray, it's October. I'm not excited to the point I'm going to use exclamation marks because I'm super burnt out and things are kind of up and down, but I'm still happy that Halloween is on the way, and a large part of me wants to buy literally every Goretober YCH I see because this is like my month, especially with Jack and all. If anyone sees anything especially heinous, do direct me so I can at least drool over it. Going to try and be picky but gods know I just want to buy all the horror pictures I see.
I will definitely be posting some previously unposted commissions this month, I think, in celebration of Monster Appreciation Month.
I haven't decided on my Halloween costume yet because it has to involve a horse and I already did the major ones, so I gotta figure out something half-decent by the time Halloween actually roles around. Getting an excuse to dress up and ride around the barn like an idiot is a huge thing for me.
Also I'll definitely be on the look out for super gross super gory horror stuffs, again. I have a few commissions in line already but, you know. Can always do with bringing more horrible stuff into the world.
Commissions are going slow, which I apologize for, but hopefully they'll all be finished in the next few weeks and I'll find the time to write at least a Halloween-themed snippet or two, too. I will definitely be largely closed until the end of the year at the least after this, though. There's some things I really need to get done, unfortunately, and time just isn't on my side right now.
Happy October, everyone. Stay safe and be spooky.

Commissions Closed
Posted 5 years agoIf I've accepted your commission at this point, then I'll be getting it done, don't worry.
But I'm closing commissions for a while because it's been pointed out I've kind of taken on way more than I should have and I'm getting kind of burnt out. I need some time to work on my own projects for a bit.
Thanks for all the interest, though, I really do appreciate all of it.

Posted 5 years agoSnippet Commissions, With A Twist
Posted 5 years agoSo I'm going to take on some 1K - 2K snippet commissions this week. However, instead of paying me, I'm instead asking that you make a donation to a charity of your choice. If you're looking for suggestions:
The Center for Disease Philanthropy's COVID fund:
https://disasterphilanthropy.org/do.....response-fund/
The Bail Project:
https://secure.givelively.org/donat.....e-bail-project
The Midwest Horse Welfare Foundation:
http://www.equineadoption.com/
These are just suggestions and you're more than free to donate to something of your own. I'm willing to give these on an honor system. There is no minimum and no maximum donation amount. I'll be opening ten slots: comment or note to reserve one and I'll let you know if you've got it. Once you've reserved, feel free to make your donation and let me know once you have, and then let me know the idea you'd like me to write. Please remember these will be short stories.
If you DO want to send a tip my way, my Ko-Fi is:
https://ko-fi.com/zerrexnarrius
And all donations will count towards chapter releases of Grave Expectations.
Let's reach out and do a little bit of good in the world.

New Story Series, Ko-Fi
Posted 5 years agoSo basically Grave Expectations is going to be Zerrex II the Remake. I'm a lot happier with this telling of things, following the events of Cherry Bomb, and building up to reintroducing a lot of key characters of Zerrex's life and family.
So this chapter is coming out for free, but further chapters are going to require donations to the Ko-Fi I set up at https://ko-fi.com/zerrexnarrius - don't worry, though, I'm planning to give a cut of my donations for charity, and I'm going to get some art and I'll post some commissions and never before seen artwork of my characters and all that along with everything else, some of which is very delightful. Or horrifying, depending on your view of that.
I think every 30 USD in donations I get will mean a new chapter gets released. I'll release the chapters every Monday, starting next month: so say I get 30 bucks in donations, that means Chapter 2 goes up May 4th. Say I get... 90 bucks in donations (look just pretend it'll happen) and I'll release 3 chapters, May 4th / 11th / 18th. This is staggered so that I can complete my current commission queue without having to rush, and finish off Grave Expectations as well.
As for the charity donation part, I'll probably look at something local that I can give to. The first set of donations will probably go towards a place I already help out at because we've got some new rescue horses, one of whom is a pregnant mare, so she's going to need some extra care.
I think every 50 USD I'll post some art of characters I've gotten over the years. Stuff like that. And I'm sure I can come up with other things, too.
I'll update again I'm sure, once I'm not suffering from severe insomnia and mania and can make more sense of this whole thing.
Thanks for reading, and hope that everyone is staying safe out there.

Quick Commission Available
Posted 5 years agoEdit: Thanks everyone for your ideas and your contributions, slots are now full.
I'm available for one or two relatively short commissions. Send me a note if you're interested. Open to an art trade if money is tight, too.

Story Auction
Posted 5 years agoThe auction is over, and the winner is
Toots! Thanks everyone for your interest and your bids!
So I thought I'd have some fun this month and try auctioning off a special story slot: this story will be a no-limits/anything-goes story involving one (or more) of your characters, and one (or more) of my characters. Bidding will start at 20 USD, for a one-on-one short scene, approximately 3000-5000 words. Much cheaper than my standard commission price!
Furthermore, you have to use one of my characters, but that character doesn't necessarily have to be in-character: for this auction, I'm fine with writing them in different roles than they might usually play, and again, there are no limits on the table. I might be inviting some trouble here, but. What can I say, I like having a challenge. And I like trouble.
Plus it also doesn't have to be NSFW/NSFL. I'm super happy to write very general, fit-for-all stories too, or action-oriented ones. What I'm saying is don't feel shy and don't think I'm limited to what most of my gallery is comprised of, I can and will write anything and everything you might want to see, and happily.
SB: 20 USD
Minimum Bid increase: 5 USD
At 50 USD, you can have two characters, and the story can be up to a max of 7500 words, if you so choose.
At 100 USD, you can choose two of my characters, and the story can be a max of 12K words.
Autobuy will be 250 USD, in which case the story can be up to 20K words and can involve any number of characters in any number of scenes/situations of your choosing.
Auction will run from now to 12:00 PM CST next Monday, the 10th.
Standard bidding rules: please reply to bids in order, don't hide bids.
Payment will be due within 24 hrs of winning the auction. If you fail to pay, it will go to the next in line.
Happy bidding!

Commission Information
Posted 6 years agoPricing:
Prices have been increased to 1 USD / 100 words. I'll offer discounts for ideas that I really enjoy / repeat clients I've gotten to know longer term / at my own discretion. All stories over 25K words are now subject to a flat additional charge of 50 USD because of the additional time and effort longer stories require.
Payment for first time clients is half up front, half at completion. I will be more flexible with payment options after I've worked with a client several times with no major problems. Payment is in USD. Please ensure you pay in USD and do not send me "approximate" amounts in other currencies, thank you.
I will ask for your feedback on the draft after it's complete: if there are any problems with the story I'll rewrite those scenes free of charge or make any other appropriate edits. I will do a second editing/polish run free of charge as well. After I've completed the second editing run, further small edits - word choice, sentence restructure, spellcheck-related - I'll be more than happy to do at any time, but any larger edits will incur additional charges.
All commissions should be handled by one party: if I have to send the story to multiple parties and get all of their approvals, then I will charge up to double my base price. This is because it can be extremely hard for people to coordinate what they want: if I have to recheck and rewrite a story multiple times over because Party A thinks Character A should be a flirt, and Party B thinks Character A should be shy and reserved, it becomes almost impossible to write what both people want, and in almost every case I've dealt with this, one of the parties had gotten upset with the other, abandoned the project, and left them holding the full bill.
If you want to commission a story alongside a friend, please discuss your ideas fully with each other first, and please only have one person act as contact and negotiator.
I will write One Shot stories for you at a standard price of 10$. These stories will be 1000-2000 words long, will have no editing, and cover basically one or two scenes.
Tips and/or covering Paypal fees are appreciated but not necessary.
Terms of Service:
Don't be a dick or I'll cancel you and keep whatever money you've paid me. The end.
For the fretful or overserious, "being a dick" refers to constantly complaining about how long I'm taking to write your story, whining about how I got this or that word wrong, telling things like "oh it could be better but I guess this is okay," telling me that I didn't write something correctly but then refusing to tell me what you actually wanted or other things people who like to call the manager say when there's no manager to call and no discount to be had, and, in general, well, being a dick.
Being a dick does not include asking for clarification on something, asking occasionally for updates, or telling me what I did incorrectly/if you'd prefer something else when I ask you for edits or suggests. I appreciate someone who works with me and tells me what and where I can improve things for them. You are paying me for a service and I wish to provide the best possible service for you.
What Will You Write?
I will write any kink, any fictional story, any scene involving any characters. I do not have any limits as to the content you request.
I will not write nonfiction or do your homework assignments for you.
If you want me to write a story that requires any level of research, there may be a surcharge.
If I do not feel I can properly write a story for you, I will respectfully turn you down.
If I get any sense that you have no intention of paying me or are trying to flatter a free story out of me, I will politely turn you down, and if you whine or complain excessively I will mock and belittle you.
I will very occasionally take requests and these will be announced in journals. Please do not request free stories unless I have stated I am open for requests.
Finished Product
You are free to repost the story as you see fit.
You are free to edit the story yourself as you see fit.
I may or may not repost the story in my gallery. If you want to make sure I post it, please tell me so and I'll set a reminder for myself, otherwise I frequently forget.
If you want the story changed by me at any point for any reason, please let me know and I will be happy to rewrite or modify any part of the story for a small fee.
Commission Schedule
I can often only write three or four days a week due to my schedule, and even then only for a few hours each day. Commissions can take between one day and several weeks due to this, so please be patient. I will let you know once I've started working on your commission and I am happy to update you as frequently as you would like. I do not always do commissions in the order I receive them.
I think that's everything. Let me know if you have any questions/comments/concerns and I'll respond and update accordingly.

[Updated] Commission - April
Posted 6 years agoI got a bit ahead in an owed project, so I can take on an additional commission. Let me know if you're interested in a slot and I'll be happy to add you to my queue.
Commission - April [Open]
Posted 6 years agoI have one commission slot open for early April, if anyone's interested. Please submit your idea through a note. I'm not going to be around much this weekend, so please don't worry if I don't get back to you right away.
I'll also be increasing my commission prices in the near future: these changes won't affect this commission, although I wouldn't say no to the extra money right now.
Thanks very much everyone.

Happy New Year
Posted 6 years agoFirst off, I just want to say thank you to everyone. I've had more interest and done more commissions in the recent months than I largely expected to, and I really appreciate that.
Secondly, happy new year, to all of you. I hope that by and large it ends up being a better year for everyone than this one has. Let it end with a bang, and let it start well and continue to be good in the months ahead.
While things have largely been a dumpster fire, I want to try and focus on the good things. Personally, I did a lot of things I never expected to this year. My biggest accomplishment was training a horse that everyone said was impossible to tame, and then adopting him.
Why yes, I do have bizarre and specific skillsets.
I'm not going to set any major goals for this year, but I am going to aim to improve on what I have now, and keep working on my projects.
What about all of you? What did you accomplish this year, and what are you looking for in the year ahead?

Commissions - December
Posted 6 years agoSlots are now full, and waitlist for January is available, although it's going to be more limited because I plan to take a break to get some other projects done in the new year. Thanks everyone.
