Heya. Been a while since I mentioned The Days Go On huh?

The last chapter came out close to 2 years ago now, it'll be 2 years at the end of this month. It doesn't feel like it has been that long, but at the same time it feels like it has been even longer than that. I really did have every intention of making an end to the series in some way, but school really got in the way, especially with the pandemic hitting after that and moving to virtual school, I kinda just ended up forgetting about continuing the story for a while and had to focus on my school work. I will admit, too, that I lost a bit of passion for the story after so long, not really sure where to take it.

However, I want to change that. So here's what's gonna happen--

I won't be doing a chapter at a time. Obviously that hasn't worked super well in the last few years. The way the story originally worked was that it wasn't planned out too much ahead of time, each chapter was kind of written blind. That honestly made it pretty tough to write some of the chapters where I wanted to add some stuff in between big events. Props to anyone who can write a story like that successfully haha.

So instead, this is what I'm gonna do. I'm going to treat all those chapters that have already been posted as sort of...rough drafts in a way. Sometimes I might just pull directly from it, some are gonna change quite a bit. These rewrites are all going to be compiled into one document, or I guess you could call it a book. But it will eventually be one whole document you can read the entire story on with cover art to go along with it. It's going to take a little bit, but I have already started on it and have ideas for some things I want to change about the story:

First off, they will all be wearing clothes this time around. I always kinda wanted to do that and just never did since they never wore clothes in any of the prior art. This will just make it easier to have them hold things like their phones in their pocket or whatever, plus is got a little confusing when certain characters like Arty got introduced and he DID wear clothes due to the way his body is.

Secondly, I will basically be cutting the characters of Espea and Penn. I might include them in some way as an easter egg or something, but they pretty much won't be characters anymore since let's face it, they were in the story for about 1 chapter or so and then disappeared. Plus if I did include them again, I'd probably make them more anthro like I did for Arty just so the world can be more consistent.

Those are the two big things I think, I'm sure there will be more changes. The dialogue in general isn't going to just be copy and pasted the entire time either, I do want to change some scenarios and stuff that I feel like don't work or can just be better written.

I know not many people read the story and it's probably not a big deal, but thought I'd let ya know what my plans for it in the future were. Once this "book" is done, then the story will be over. I am going to write it and give it a conclusion finally. The Days Go On is something that's basically been a thing since my sophomore year of high school. That's when I did the first drawings of some of the characters, so it's something that I do hold close to me and would like to see it properly end.

It will be a while until the writing is finished, but hopefully you like it when it is done and released!

Hiya. Been a little while, so I figured I'd post some sort of an update.

I'm back in school, so sorry if art output is a little slow. Kinda sucks that I had that major art block throughout the entire summer and then I get to school, get the motivation back, and I have barely any time for personal work. I am working on it though, slowly but surely! The past few days have also been taken up by Link's Awakening and Shantae and the Seven Sirens so...oops.
I also had a laptop scare yesterday. On Monday night, I was trying to download the student version of Maya (not pirating it, my school is registered for the educational version) and long story short Autodesk gave me some kind of corrupt file or malware or SOMETHING and it nearly busted my computer. I couldn't log in at all, it would restart before it could log in "due to a problem." Anyway, I had to wipe the computer of everything on it and then reinstall macOS. PROBLEM IS I needed a good internet connection, and my school's connection doesn't work with Internet Recovery Mode, since it's not a normal WiFi, it's like a hotel's wifi that you need both a username and password to get on. So I ended up needing to go sit in a Subway restaurant for 4 HOURS while the thing installed. So that was a fun day.

Back to art stuff though, currently I have a few things in the works. The Days Go On: Page 15 is still in the sketching phase. One character is all sketched, I just gotta sketch the other one. Been having some trouble with the composition. Hoping I can get that out before Winter Break starts (November 15). Besides that, though, I have the next two in the Scales x Smash Ultimate series in the works, one is a good chunk into the painting process and the other is getting the sketch refined at the moment. Not sure which one I'll end up finishing first. The one that's a sketch is much simpler than the one that's already in painting, but we shall see.
That's all the main stuff I've got in production though, besides school work. I might be posting some school stuff over on my Instagram bagu_art so I'd go give that a follow if you wanna see non-finished work and random sketches and stuff. I tend to post there way more than here, as I usually just reserve DA/FA for finished pieces. However, I don't post in-progress posts for The Days Go On. That's only the final release.

Anyway, I think that's basically it. Hopefully, Winter Break will be much more productive on my end. I am working this winter, which I usually don't, but I'm probably only gonna do 2-3 days a week at the most. I have a 7-week break so I've got time to draw and stuffs. I really wanna try to get the next chapter up and I'd love to get maybe Chapter 16 up as well, but it just kinda depends on how this quarter goes. I assume it will only get busier from here.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Starting January 1, 2019, the name "Zerrazoid" will be officially changed to "Bagu."

I've been thinking about changing my alias for a while now, and recently I've been getting the things together to make the name change official. I wanted to give a good heads up so it's not confusing later. Just know that most places where I am "Zerrazoid" I will now be "Bagu." Of course, some sites don't let you change what your name or handle is, so those will still be Zerrazoid because I'd rather not make new accounts, and for the most part, the ones that don't let users change their names are sites I don't use all that much. I already have the new logo made, just gotta get a common background made for banners and stuff on YouTube and Twitter and the like. I also really wanna start using Twitter and Tumblr more, especially Twitter. I don't really tweet, but I want to change that later. I may start advertising my Twitter then.

So, why the name change? Well, I've had the name "Zerrazoid" since 5th grade. I am in my 2nd year of college now, plus one gap year between high school and college. So I've had the name for about 10 years. I'm just tired of it now. I never liked it all too much to begin with, at least since Flipnote shut down. Flipnote Hatena was where I first started to use the name as my alias online.
The name "Bagu" is much more appealing to me. If you don't know, the little thing in my profile picture, as of this journal, is called a Bagujo. They're these little bug crab things I made up a couple years ago and I love them to death. I've sorta been trying to make them the "mascot" of my brand, since they're not really their own characters or anything, they're just sort of an empty canvas. Of course I have Greg and the other crocodiles, but they're their own characters, I didn't want them to represent myself in a way, if that makes sense. Like Greg is Greg. I'm me. It would be weird to have Greg be the cartoon version of me, if that makes any sense at all. I'm probably explaining this horribly. Point is, I can take one of the 10 different Bagujo varieties and sorta just put 'em on something and it'd work, cause they're not an established character already. Think of it this way, a sports team has a lion as their mascot. They don't have the coach as the mascot. See what I'm sayin? I know it's probably stupid, but it's how I think of it.
The name is also at the beginning of the alphabet, instead of starting with the very last letter, which I feel would help. Maybe, I dunno. I feel like it's just generally harder to get noticed if your name starts with Y or Z or something.

And ok, I went on way too long explaining a 4 letter name. Point is, I'm changing it come New Years. So if you see my characters or my work under the name Bagu, that's why. I'm really excited about this, as it's something I've been wanting to do for a long while. I thought about it quite a bit, and kept putting it off but now I think I'm just ready to drop the Zerrazoid name. I thought about just switching to Zerra, but it's still kinda the same.

Anyway, thanks for reading if you did. Hopefully I'll be able to have more stuff posted soon, it's been 3 freakin' months for cheese sake. I'm working on something now, but school is gonna likely slow that down a bit. I'm really gonna try though. Just got an iPad pro to be able to work on stuff while I'm not at my desk and I'm still getting used to the apps on it.

Hey there! Just wanted to post an update since it's been quite a while since I've posted, just about 2 whole months, besides Chapter 11.5. That's insane. The reason for that is school. I'm just entering finals week, although final projects have been going on the last two weeks or so. It's a lot of work to do, and I'm not even sure if I'll finish it all by Wednesday and Thursday when they're due! But I'll sure try.

As for personal works, I'm working on a few things. The main one right now, which will probably be the next art that I upload here, is something Shantae related. You can see the sketches over on my Instagram zerrazoidart if you want to. So far, that project has taken quite a bit of time, over 17 hours now. Won't be able to continue it until I'm home from school after this Thursday, however. I've also got a new Scales painting in the works, as well as a Scales picture I've had sitting around since October. I've got a few other ideas for stuff but those are the things that have at least a good amount of work put into them.

Well, just wanted to leave that there. I'll hopefully be posting that Shantae stuff soon!

The Days Go On Chapter 10 will be out tonight or tomorrow. Depends if I can get it all done tonight. So far have characters outlined and have flat colors done. Still have to do the entire background and paint the characters. Guess we will see.

Hooray, the new chapter of The Days Go On is finally done with being written! It's not as long of a chapter as the most recent couple, but progress gets made in it.
I'll likely start working on the drawing for it tomorrow after my class. Maybe if I really focus I can get it up tomorrow night or hopefully Friday the latest.

Welp, just wanted to update you on it. This will be the first chapter since the end of May 2017!

Hi there! I'm Zerrazoid, and this is my first journal here on FA.

I just wanted to say welcome to my page! This account will pretty much just be a mirror to my DeviantArt account, aside from favorites and stuff obviously. I'm gonna upload start uploading all my stuff since my character Greg was made, so about 2 years worth of artwork. Gonna start with the oldest and work my way up so that my gallery here is in the same order as it is over on DA.

But yeah, just kinda wanted to get that out there. On DA and here there will pretty much just be finished artwork, while over on my Instagram zerrazoidart and my Facebook page Zerrazoid Art will have any progress and other stuff I do, like school work and the such.
