Not the way to handle a backlog.
I know I've gotten behind on my notifications. And every so often, I'd make time, go through a few pages of them. This helped, but was not the entirety of it. Using it as a gallery of things you'd have to be good and ready to do, like pages of work that'd have to be assembled in one folder while you gather another in folder 2, and keeping the pages of jokes with friends separate from similar from a different site, while indexing artist #5 over there as well- was something I should have paid more attention to. Hell, some people I've followed, like DamnEvilDog and King Cheetah, have died. Now the FA mods have instituted the deletion of every notification over a year old. Yes, we shouldn't be leaving it there forever, but some of us didn't know this would happen. There's always things you could have solved with some warning, and could have gotten solved to the point of "at least it wasn't _that_ bad."
Now it is that bad because many of us have gotten screwed on the notification system.

I'm sure that the staff was forced to do this, but that also just means that they couldn't find a way to NOT do this to the FA members. If you have a backup of the full site, then that would mean you have a backup of people's notifications and could have added that too. In the message from on high, they say that the old notifications took up a lot of room. There must have been many, since they're just html and text that leads to picture files, not the files themselves. We must trust the mods, and they seem honest at this, but they did manage to screw us over in this.

A journal entry on Red.

And here I had thought, "Well that's done. Time to lay low for a while."
The Radley series is far from over, it just hasn't picked up again. Marcos has done some artwork of it. Wow, that's adorable+. I drew some and while mine is more sly, Marcos's is more emotive. Radley is a much more distinctive name then 'Red' for a title, even though she's usually called Red in the narration. I don't write oftain, so I have no stories planned. I don't have much time to draw, and I prefer to draw what I've been inspired to. The whole thing spiraled out from Marcos's prompting. (and really, more people should be thanking the guy for his quality work.)

I find I like the Red setup. She's not a sleeze, and she gets carried away at times, she fears she might be a perv, and planning means her habits haven't gotten out.
Long planning. Thinking over every little scenario. Bad ones and good ones and perhaps no-one would mind if she went and took a bath to cool down.
Be it helping out behind the scenes in breeding season, or sneaking out in the middle of the night to molest the forest animals, or just hanging around in the barn- from a rope someone tied to her work dress.

Here we meet Radley, a girl who goes by the name of Red.
A farm girl in an unlabled countery, in an unnoticed farm in a uneventfull time.
There are no celular phones, no mp3 players, perhaps not even television.
In between her uneventfull farm tasks Red has developed an unusual habit. Her source of entertainment, even her source of pleasure, is found not in the arms of the local boys- but in the embrace of the animals on her farm. A less troublesome sort of animal, some would claim. While we don't know the events of Red's life in the years ahead of her or behind her, it opens all sorts of possibilities.
Red, as she is written, has a few insecurities. Flaws to make her more human.
You see, Red has a lot of free time. Schooling is short and to the point. Farm chores take a few hours. Most of the heavy stuff is done by people with the proper equipment. ie, wagons, etc. She knows what her exact age is, but I like to smudge the precise when.
She worries she might be too small or short. She thinks she has a boy's name- Radley. But since she's a redhead everyone calls her Red. Most of them assume that would be her real name.
She's sometimes bothered by her non-status of not being one of the 'clieque' girls. She may be barely passing the algebra part of math, but she could manage the farm's ledger in a non-spectacular way if she wanted.
She was told a few times that sex is bad, and she listened. Red likes sex anyway she just keeps it to herself.
She had the freedom to do something about it. And the animals to do it with. It's no 'big secret' but Red doesn't want word to get around! p.s.-"Dog sex is _so_ passe'!" She doesn't even have a dog.
So she's more open to 'certain things' with 'certain girls since they can keep a secret.'
So she strikes deeper and deeper into the local forest, disturbs more animals then a thunderstorm, (not all of them 'normal' animals either), all to an undecided end....

It's very odd.
I've been getting people _responding_ to messages. People who goto my
'page and leaving 'shouts' thanking me for using the watch function.
All very strange. Nobody spamming me, or yelling at me, or even
repeating the latest insults that they've heard. This is the only
expectation to have if anyone breaks the all-encompassing silence.
You almost think these people were _friendly_ or something.
I'm not going to post porn. I just joined to keep from racking up
