March Break
Posted a year agoBeen awhile since I made a new journal. Just writing to say I'm taking the rest of March off so be not concerned if no new comics appear for some time. I'm sure once I've recharged myself that I'll be back at it. Until then kind watchers and passersby.

End of September
Posted 3 years agoWell, I survived hurricane Fiona's onslaught unscathed. Some others did not fare so well sadly. After recent events, I decided to buy a new emergency radio in the event that power and communication is lost as they were when the storm struck. It gives one a healthy respect for the power of nature when it shows its fiercer side. I hope never to see another such storm but it better to anticipate more of them then fewer. I hope everyone takes care and I'm looking forward to upcoming October.

Thought I'd make my paypal link available should anyone be in a charitable mood. A few months ago, I said I wouldn't put my work behind a paywall but this week I incurred an unexpected loss of cash in the form of my family's vehicle crapping out on me and having to get a tow truck. Sadly when you're on a limited budget, every dollar counts. I think $50 cad (Canadian) would help take the sting out of this expenditure. Should anyone gift me, it'll get devils due moving again and if it is your wish, I'll put your name down as contributor and even offer a sketch/drawing request to you (if it is within my terms of acceptability).
I don't want to my watchers to feel pressured as I know that times now are difficult all over and that your money can be better spent elsewhere, in all honesty. I am loathe to do this but shy of a miracle lottery win or a job offer, I see few alternatives. Anyway, the link is below and I hope that it works. If anyone does donate to me, you can make known to me your wishes either through this journal or via fa's note system.

Sept18th2021Herald of Fall
Posted 4 years agoNot a whole lot new with me. Was hit with a wave of depression earlier this month, guess it was the 'end of summer blues'. But worked thru it and now here we are.
Continuing to make devilsdue. I am attempting to enable the 'shinies' donation thing on the xenocorp page but I doubt it will get much use. Im NOT going to put my work behind a paywall as im certain such a move would drive off the few watchers I still have. Lets just say that if no donations come in, I won't be crushed.
That being said, if you would like to toss a couple of coins my way it would please me greatly. It might not get Andy out of his predicament but it would make my life less hellish.
While on the subject, howl bout a little audience participation? Soon Andy will meet a few of his fellow 'co-workers'. They are a couple of bulls, a horse and the third slot is currently blank. What would YOU like to see? Rhino? Mammal? Avian? Reptile? Aquatic? Insect? I would prefer it to be a 'real' world species but im willing to bend the rules for a demi dragon.. as at some point Daegon is gonna cameo in the comic. : 3 Just write in this journal or note me with your suggestion. If no suggestion pops up, I'll just cobble something together.

Posted 5 years agoIt was a year ago on this very day, according to my meticulously kept records, that I began creating my Devils Due comic. The year 2020 has so far been... rough and that is being far too generous. I'm hoping that in times yet to come, the world will no longer be in the thrall of the corona virus.
Predictions for Xenocorp? I plan to continue Devils Due for the foreseeable future even if at times it may be delayed. I have found wrist strain to be more and more binding.
Still I am enjoying summer, however short, despite my grumblings. So dear watchers, friends and associates, be well.

Posted 6 years agoSo, recently had some work done on my teeth. I had neglected them for quite some time, poor choice on my part. I guess if i'm to make a point it is simply this, don't neglect your teeth! Otherwise the co$t of doing naught can be quite steep.
My energy level is still a bit low at this point, it was a tough winter for me and i'm recovering from oral surgery. Other then that things are generally getting better. Weathers improving, temps are rising, and winters grip is having its fingers pried off.
I have no real plans for anything art related, most like dnd type pics and whatevernot pops into my head.

Posted 7 years agoApril was a particularly bad month for us here at xenocorp. First there were hardware issues.. (dying old workhorse computer) and then on a more personal note, severe wrist strain. No, not what you might think. ; ) Too much computing tends to do that so I've been trying to minimize my computer time.
Things are finally starting to look up now that I've resolved the first issue and an end to wintery weather is also improving my mood. So fear not dear xenocorp associates, I am fine.

Wanna hear James Earl Jones voice an evil wizard? ya like animation that looks like it came out of a Zelda cdi game? Then check out the 1983 animated movie 'The Flight of Dragons'. I found it a blast, but then again i also like Wolfcop and i was drinking at the time of watching..

Posted 10 years agoPredictions for June, 30% increase in dinosaur and summer related imagery. Nearly lost a pic I was working on last night due to thunderstorm, spent the evening reconstructing it from old save data. Save often?
Bit saddened that legendary actor Sir Christopher Lee has passed on. Loved him as Sarumon the white in Lotr's. But I first recall hearing his voice in the role as King Haggard in the animated movie, The Last Unicorn.
