Great day
General | Posted 14 years agoI'm somewhat taking a break from cleaning my closet. I've been going through myriads of sketchbooks. I've stored away sketchbooks with completed pictures and those with unrealized ideas. I have a couple on the floor next to me, the most recent ones I've purchased, and I plan on getting back to the sketches in there sometime soon.
I have a Coke in the fridge, a 16 oz glass bottle. It is tempting me.
I went up to 'the Circle' today, walked the antique and record shops there. I almost purcased a watercolor print by Sulamith Wülfing. It was one of a dragon gobbling up a sleeping fairy,(at least from my perspective and understanding of it). I wish I did buy it, but I settled on an adorable raccoon plush from the 70's. I named him Russ; Russ the raccoon!
I'll draw something sexy now.

General | Posted 14 years agoMy college is in a process of renovation, which is very great for the 100 year old facility. A majority of the campus has already been renovated with modern classrooms, and it is exciting to see more and more being modernized each day.
One thing that doesn't seem to change however is the restrooms. Some of these restrooms on the campus have been used as shower rooms by many sports teams of yore, and were simply converted into restrooms through the use of the old piping. But the way in which the shower rooms have been converted into restrooms is very strange. Instead of a large open space with the stalls on the exterior of the restroom walls the stalls are all boxed in together in the center. So instead of being back with the wall, you are back to back with another person.
Lovely.
Some of the old drains are still there on the floor as well, which kinda frightens me. It reminds me of the shower scene with the clown from Stephen King's "IT". Thinking of a killer clown crawling from a drain less than a foot in front of you will most certainly motivate you to get out of the restroom quick.
This isn't really something I take notice of every day, and there isn't much point for me to be writing this and posting it online. However, at the same time I just feel like I need to get this shit outta my mind somehow.
Was that a pun?

Alright
General | Posted 14 years agoYou're alright. Yes, you. You're "OK" in my book.
Toasty!
General | Posted 14 years agoOne of the best things in life is the first 32 seconds after you get into bed. The blankets are slightly chilled after being abandoned all day, and you and your PJ's are warm and comfy. Put the two together, and you get a half a minute or so of the coolness fighting the warmth, the Yin meeting the Yang.
And then it gets toasty.
And then it gets toasty.

General | Posted 14 years agoI love October. Especially mid-to-late October. Its not too cold and its not too hot. It is cool enough to where I can comfortably wear my favorite long sleeve and jeans. I like that a lot.
I love listening to these scarey stories on Youtube by this guy called "Dameathook". He reads those kids books "Scarey Stories to Tell in the Dark", and I admit, I still look over my shoulder when I read them! His stuff is really great, if you're reading this, you gotta check him out.
Speaking of which, thanks for reading this. Its kinda fun to just toss these journals into the abyss of the Internet, and it is really great when someone reads them. Even if they don't comment or anything. Its like a secret journal.

IMPORTANT UPDATE

Coming Up
General | Posted 15 years agoI was working on a still life today in my art class; the subject was a dead rose. I was indifferent about the image when I started. But after water-coloring, and then a few shades in pencil and colored-pencil, I found it looked fantastic! It's great when things can come together well like that.
I would post it on here, but I dunno about any anthropomorphic roses...
