To those who like my work (selling prints) and raising money
General | Posted 14 years agoHey everyone!
I know its been some time since I posted anything about my photography but I wanted to give you all an update of what is to come. I am currently migrating my work on over to a really awesome website Ive come to familiarize myself known as Etsy and Ive been posting pics Ive done recently and in the past, and while I'm still getting my shop worked on as we speak, I'm still out and about shooting here and there.
The reason why I am doing this is because I am trying to raise funds to help with the financial costs for FC 2012 and to also help raise funds towards computer parts for my 'New Tower' project. With
Zantor64 and
Eynkiwolf they helped me map out a good list items to make the tower since my previous one died cause the motherboard fried. So for those who like my work, I am currently taking print requests and I will take 5 slots for any fur who would like a print from my gallery. Just let me know what pic you want and the size you would like.
As far as prices go, they are as follow:
5in x 7in - $5 + $1 for shipping
8in x 10in - $10 +$2 for shipping
11in x 14in - $20 + $3 for shipping
16in x 20in - $30 + $4 for shipping
Form of payment must be done via paypal. Once I take note of your order I will give you my paypal to send your payment over.
NOTE: Since I get my prints from a specific online source, I will make the order for the prints once all 5 slots are filled and paid for so that the prints will be sent to me all at once rather than one by one. That way I can send the pictures out to you in an easier manner.
If you would like a slot please note me! I'm hoping these slots will fill fast and if you are caught out of the list, I will start a new batch of pics and slots to take and you'll get first dibs :) One way to make the slots fill up faster and to get to you faster is to tell your friends! Anyone who you think would be interested in my pictures, let them know!
I keep my paws cross!

A new chapter, a great party, and a new home. (update)
General | Posted 14 years agoWhelp, thank you all for being so patient as to whats been going down for all of us. As some of you may have known or caught wind of, E, Haru, and I have been in the process of moving and we have successfully moved down to South City in St. Louis MO. We live around the carondelet area and I can say it feels much more active and filled with lively energy than St. Charles by a long shot. During my time in St. Charles I enjoyed the suburbian silence but only did I enjoy it for so long before I felt that St charles felt way to stagnant than any other place Ive been in MO so far. I give St. Charles no disrespect but to me, as a photographer and wandering artist, I need to be someplace more filled with energy and events that doesnt make me feel that 'nothing ever happens here'.
Now that we're [more] near the city, it feels amazing to be in our new loft/home. Being in a new place with the woofers and E makes it all the more amazing along with out new (jewish) roommate
Jonnykiller who is hilarious, spontaneous, and filled with energy which helps out the house overall as a whole. Our new furryspace has an amazing park right across the street from where we live where the woofers can do their thing and the first floor has commercial space where theres a bar, a sun tanning place, a soon-to-be-deli, and a furniture store. OBVIOUSLY these stores market towards the fancy-dancy higher-end folk but it still gives the overall space a nice feel to it.
We just recently had a party too! and it went extremely well. For those who helped with the party I thank you all so much and I am quite surprised nothing broke *score*
As for school, I realized that I wasnt as disciplined enough to go for it as I originally thought, but hey, you live n learn right? so hopefully once I find myself not so distracted, maybe I can actually sit down and get some schooling done =p and in the meantime, I am actually trying to find a second job right now to help make the payment of bills easier. with Petco being as cool as shoving bamboo up my nails, its not as dependable as I want it to be so here I am.
I am keeping my spirits up in times of stressful moments, and thanks to E constant support and Haru's bright spirit it makes everyday much more brighter than they are.
~Love and Peace~

I was tagged by a Jew!
General | Posted 14 years agoFirst and foremost I was tagged by the one and only
Jonnykiller so here goes...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1. You must post these rules.
2. Each person must post 11 things about themselves in their journal.
3. You have to choose 11 people to tag and post their icons on your journal.
4. Go to their page and tell them you have tagged him/her.
5. No tag backs.
6. No stuff in the tagging section about "you are tagged if you are reading this." You have to tag 11 people.
1)What makes you cry? It's hard for me to say at times but when I see animals who have been tortured or cared for in a cruel manner I sometimes get emotional about the situation. Other times, I cry for those who truely get themselves in really bad, uncontrollable, situations like losing a job they've had for a long time, losing a family member or a close friends, a loved pet...I cry for those I've gotten extremely close to, which is a very small handful, but from time to time theres a shed tear
2)Your happiest memory in life? I would say being in Humboldt County, in general. For those who've known and seen the coast, while Matsi and I were there,you understand and feel exactly where it is I'm coming from on this...I can only say that if 'home is where the heart is' my heart still resides in Humboldt to this day, waiting for me to return.
3)Is family by blood or chosen? chosen. To a certain degree, I freely get to choose who I consider my 'family' is based on the trust I have in them, the time of which Ive known the person and how well they can perceive me without having to explain myself. I can say that my friends have been there for me A LOT more than my actual family.
4)How do you find inner strength? through transpersonal self-speculation. I believe that everything happens for a reason but through enough speculation you can figure out why. Whenever I catch myself in a jam, I rethink the situation, the possible outcomes, and logically go out it and hope that the outcome I foresaw becomes reality. I dont waste time thinking 'what if' or 'maybe' bullshit because that just clouds the mind and makes yourself a debbie-downer.
5)Would you give your last dollar to a stranger, if it could save them? Depends if I can trust the person.
6)If your family (Mother brother sister father ect) needed you, what extent would you go to help them? Only for my mother and sister will I go to the ends of the earth for. Granted the rest of the family has kinda helped...they have caused more problems than solving and fixing them...
7)Name your favorite flower. I'm not much of a flower person at all but if I had to choose one, I would say the Lilacs
8)You walk into a room with 100 guns and one is loaded, would you pull a trigger randomly for a million dollars? sure, why not. Not like I'm shooting it at someone.
9)What is your biggest regret? thats a good one...there were times I felt like I should be regretting some things but given the time in my life...I have no regrets. you live and learn, and become a better person for it.
10)What have you done in life that you are most proud of? I would say becoming a very positive and strong person, and even a figure, to some. Being a symbol of friendship means a lot to me and for those Ive been friends with for years know exactly what I mean by this :D
11)What is the first thing you’d change if you were “in charge of the world”? The (evil) banking system we have in the US.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There you have it!
Not usually a meme I would do myself but hey, i was tagged =p

Photography/ Art Questions :STOLEN!:
General | Posted 14 years agoI stole this journal from
Kasyl which in turn HE stole from his mate
fiver16
You know you're a good thief when you steal from a thief to begin with =p
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
PHOTOGRAPHY QUESTIONS:
Q- What type of camera do you use?
A- Canon T1i
Q- What type of lenses do you have?
50mm f/1.8 , 75-300 f/4-5.6, and a (dying) 28-90mm f/4-5.6
Q- In your pictures you have a wide range! And as I'm looking at them I cant never find your inspiration? It's so different! And It's really good! I was just wondering where is it that you get your inspiration?
A- It's hard to say what it is I am looking for in a shot since a majority of it is usually 'on the spot' shots. Especially for still life situations, I have this awesome X-men power where time will stop and I realize that the subject in front of me will look awesome as a picture. Then I scan the subject and think about what angles I can shoot from, what aperture settings can I mess around with on this subject, whats in the background I can use to support my subject, does it have one focal point or is it something to be showcased as a whole...
All these questions and thoughts come into my head and when time comes back to normal, I test out all my thoughts and ideas and see what comes out the best =)
Q- Do you plan on going to school?
A- yeup! Money is the unfortunate factor on why I cant go (yet)
Q- What's your favorite thing to take pictures of?
A- Dogs
Q- What got you started in photography?
A- By impulsively buying a Sony cyber-shot just because I had enough money saved up to buy a camera. During the first year I messed around with having a camera and getting use to the settings, the diffrent shooting modes and just getting familiar with the device and later on as I kept on shooting, more and more people said I had 'The eye' for my photography and so I upgraded to my furst DSLR body, the Canon Xti and it just started rolling from there
Q- How long have you done photography?
A- Years now... I want to say...6?..maybe even 7 now...
Q- What programs do you use to edit your photos?
A- I Mainly use Lightroom 3 and to add some finishing touch-ups I use CS5
Q- Have you won any awards for photography?
A- nope, but I will one day!
Q- You are given $2,000 to spend one whatever photo equipment you want. What would you spend it on?
A- Realistically...2K really isnt that much for photography equipment BUT! if I had to choose I would use it to buy a 70-200mm f/2.8L USM and a Sigma 10-20mm f/3.5
Q- What's your favorite time to shoot?
A- I'd say either early evenings and really earlly in the morning. when the sun is JUST about rising =)
ART QUESTIONS:
Q- What's your favorite thing to draw?
A- Circles and squares getting it on
Q- What programs do you use?
A- a long hexagon-shaped cylinder with a rubber-padded nub on one side and a sharpened graphite tip on the other. Called a pencil.
Q- What's your favorite media?
A- Windows Media Player. Cause it has the word 'media' in it
Q- Have you won any awards for your art?
A- no but it has been put up on the refrigerator though =)
Personality test
General | Posted 14 years agoStolen from
Kasyl
I wanted to see how 'spot-on' this test was and I am quite surprised how it came out =)
You can take the test here if you want to see what you guys are like as well: https://www.signalpatterns.com/personality_survey
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Understanding
You are willing to take the time to find out what's going on with other people, especially if they're in distress. You're a good listener, you don't criticize, and you offer unbiased, respectful, honest advice when it's requested. With a high score on the "understanding" trait, it is likely that you are enthusiastic about charitable work, helping others, and making the world a better place.
You don't feel the need to impose your standards on others or say things that, even though true, cause pain.
Aesthetic
You appreciate art, beauty, and design; you know that they are not superficial but absolutely crucial to living the good life. You have good taste, and you're proud of it. Those with a high score on the "aesthetic" trait are often employed in literary or artistic professions, enjoy domestic activities — doing things around the house — and are enthusiastic about the arts, reading, and travel.
You don't think it's pretentious to be moved by art and beauty. You're not one of those who believe it doesn't matter what something looks like as long as it does its job.
Curious
You like to get to the bottom of things. You're not content knowing what someone did; you want to know why they did it.
You don't simply take things as they are and move on; you're not content skimming along on the surface; you don't feel you're wasting time by digging for the meaning of things.
Empathetic
You are in touch with your own feelings, which helps put you in touch with the feelings of others.
You don't buy the logic that your happiness comes ahead of everyone else's because unless you're happy you're incapable of making anyone else happy.
Optimistic
You are a "glass half-full" kind of person, always on the lookout for the silver lining. Your happiness is contagious, which is why others like to be around you.
You do not feel that the world is an intrinsically depressing place; you are not the kind of "realist" who thinks that only fools find joy in life.
Calm
You rarely become irritated, generally accept people as they are, take things as they come, and feel relaxed in most situations.
You do not let a minor annoyance escalate to a confrontation. You don't regularly snap at those around you or fly off the handle with little provocation.
Introspective
You like your own company; you're a very interesting person. Tracking your own mental processes, knowing what you're thinking and why you do what you do, is important to you. Often, what's going on in your mind is more compelling than what's going on outside. For the most part, those with a high score on the "introspective" trait enjoy reading, taking long walks, learning new things, and other solitary activities.
You are not someone who is constantly looking to be among a group of friends; you never feel bored when you are by yourself.
Creative
You are good at solving problems, coming up with original ideas, and seeing connections between things, connections that most other people miss. People with a high score on the "creative" trait often are employed in such fields as finance and scientific research, and enjoy avant garde and classical music as well as literary fiction and scholarly non-fiction.
You do not shun abstractions and concepts in favor of the concrete and tangible.
Assertive
You behave in a confident and forceful manner, take charge of the situation, raise your hand in class, stand up for what you think is right, and lead others. Among those who have a high score on the "assertive" trait, many have jobs in which they are valued for their organizational skills as well as their talent for supervising others.
You are not interested in fading into the woodwork, leaving everything to fate, taking more time than necessary to accomplish a task, or avoiding confrontation.
Warm
You have a genuine interest in other people. You're a natural host, and are always thinking about how you can increase the happiness of those around you. When friends have problems or are in trouble, you're usually the first person they turn to for aid and comfort. Scoring high on the "warm" trait suggests that you are among those who enjoy domestic activities — doing things around the house — and are enthusiastic about charitable work, helping others, and making the world a better place.
You don't always say exactly what you're thinking; you don't like the idea of causing anyone pain because of your criticism.

As of now some of you may have caught wind that my mate and I, along with the woofs, are going to CO but as of now, this isnt true. we are now staying here in MO a year longer due to E's promotion at his job which makes things more financially easier for us down the line and this also gives me more of a chance to help pay off my school debt(so far) and kinda get my name out there with my photography. Some local bars and cafe's are willing to hold some of my work so hopefully they'll have the space to allow that.
When it comes time in October, our new roomie
Jonnykiller will be movin g in with us and will be joining our little circle of hate >:3c muahahaha but all in all I are excited about this move. Now we're just playing the waiting game until then.
As for the 'directions' part of this journal, I am needing some guidance on some photo printing servies that local furs have for their own. I refuse to go to kinko's/FedEx/UPS stores to print along with any Targets, walmrts, sams clubc, etc... I know furries with their own photo services make WONDERFUL prints for an awesome price and if it takes a bit longer for them to print it out in comparison to major business chains, so be it. I am wanting QUALITY over quantity any day. So I ask of this to you all, who can I go to to get my photos printed off in a fabulous manner?
all in all I want my business relationship to help with their business. =) They make awesome prints anf they'll have themselves a solid-happy-noble customer =)

photo block
General | Posted 14 years agoTo all who love my work,
First off I want to thank you all again for being such avid followers in my years of expressing and creating, not just pictures, but what I express as art. Your guys' support, faves, comments, mean a lot to me and no matter the length of comment left, or number of faves faved, I appreciate your guys support. Knowing that I am recognized in a hobby I love to express and makes other people feel inspired, overjoyed, thoughtful, and even passionate about their own endeavors in life fuels me to continue onward...
In and on such paths, there are always blocks and bumps that obscure or even halt your travel down the road and right now I've been trying to get over a major photo block (still...) From time to time I've been able to shoot the occasional picture here and there but its not quite the same from the batches of pics I have done in the past.Ever since moving to AZ, after selling my camera, I believe that's where the block had first settled in. As time went on, the block grew larger, and after AZ the block was immense. After moving to MO and saving up, I finally got a new canon T1i but...the block was still there. I had felt and believed that if I got a new body, a new start, again the block would of gotten smaller, but that wasn't the case...
Now that its been months since I've had my camera, I can say that there hasn't been that many batches of pics I 'feel' that I'm proud of (don't get me wrong, there were lot of pics taken and done, but not to the amount I would of liked given how long I've had my camera), so now I am trying to relieve this photo block of mine. I've been reading pages here and there on how to rekindle a flame and a majority of them say to go back in time and revisit times you felt inspired, amazed, and passionate about your work and so...
These upcoming batches of pics are previous shots of what I had done years ago. They will be marked with a '*past' and hopefully and maybe I can overcome this damn block.
As always, I wish you all the very best. From the many-sona Wolf and Matsi with love.

MISSOURI FURS!
General | Posted 14 years ago'Good Morning/Afternoon one and all furry friends!
My mate and I are planning on moving into the City of St. Louis (Downtown/ Washington ave.) in October and we're open to the idea of having a furry roommate move in with us. Our lease isnt up until later in October so theres plenty of time to plan and talk but we're preparing early for the scenario of having a 2 bedroom house/apartment/loft for a 1 year lease. We've been together for almost a year now and we live a very open lifestyle so for those who are 'open' and very 'comftorable' with themselves or around others is a big plus for us both. we're wanting to have someone join our little pack but this said furson MUST have a very stable job, very reliable transportation with a steady income, and great roommate etiquette skills. Said furson must make the commitment of a 1 year lease and details will be shared and explained once we meet you in person to talk about the moving plans with you =) We've been around the block many times before about living with others so we're looking for experienced furs who've been out on their own being responsible and such. Another reason why we're looking early is to also hangout with said furson to see help make us feel comfortable around you and vice-versa..I mean if we're going to live together, we might as well get to know each other right? thought so lol
Unfortunately, we already have 2 large dogs (one being a husky mix and another a lab/GSD mix) so we are unable to take in anymore pets due to limited housing circumstances that we can search and allow for. For those who are serious about this ad, please contact me through FA or at my email kotawolfrunner[at]gmail.com for details on how you can reach us.
we look forward to meeting some new faces, getting to know more, and of course spreading the furry fandom joy!!!'

Woot shirt of the day
General | Posted 14 years agoFour fuzzy foxes, playing frisky games
Reynard, Vixen, Bun-Bun and James
See, ‘cause for foxes, those are common names
Reynard, Vixen, Bun-Bun and James
Four funny foxes, happily at play
A shot rings out; three foxes run away
Foxes shouldn’t frolic where the farmer’s rifle aims
One fox learns too late, poor James!
Three furry fox kits frolic in the sun
Reynard, Vixen, and Bun-Bun
Bun-Bun’s ill from something that she ate
Death by sodium fluoroacetate!
Two happy fox pups hear an awful snap
Vixen’s forepaw’s fast in a trap!
Steel jaws clamp down, shattering the bone
Reynard scampers off alone
One single fox romps unaccompanied
Thinkin’ with the cunning that is common to his breed
Foxily he schemes as he scampers and he leaps:
I’LL KILL THE FARMER EVEN AS HE SLEEPS
- derpythings
Todays woot shirt story. Enjoy fellow furs :D

*GlaDos Voice* It's been a long time. How have you been?
General | Posted 15 years agoAnd it has.
It's been months upon months since I gave an update of whats currently going down in my life and for those who have been in the circle with me already know whats going down in my life but for those who dont know, here's a journal to sum it up for you.
For the past couple weeks,
Eynkiwolf and I have been talking about a new location to move to. A new place where we can start a new chapter for ourselves and our woofs, while continue our education in school and wanting to earn our degrees in our fields of specialty. Eynki wants to continue in his work of ITT studies while I want to continue and strive for my RVT license. After some conversations here and there we had decided to look into the state of CO, Denver or Colorado Springs to be exact, as our new living location. There are perks to both locations but since cost of living and minimum wage are close to being the same, we'd figure we save up now, plan, and see if we have the necessary resources to make the move possible later this October.
Our move is planned to be later on this year because we had signed a lease for our apartment and our contract isn't up until the middle of October. Until then, we still have alot of time to plan and think about things before we make this major change. I received comments from close friends of this idea of ours and to answer your guys' common question of 'why CO?...' I can answer some of the easier questions for you.
~It's a highly considerable location to move to that's very woof friendly
~ Cost of living is close to, if not, the same as MO
~ Minimum wage is a tad higher than MO but cost of living can be manageable with stable income
~ Denver Community college has a RVT program I am greatly considering to be a part of while it also has awesome ITT tech schools for
Eynkiwolf to attend in as well
~ Good friends of mine such as
RaikouWolf and
arium are residing there as we speak, and I'm interested in meeting new furries out there.
~I'm closer to CA by two states but I'll be two states away still but hey, its sure beats being halfway across the US :D
~from what Ive been gathering from coworkers, inhabitants, friends, travellers, teachers, and counselors who have stayed in CO at one point. They all say that its a beautiful place to live and work and it's totally doable to start a new life there. A majority of these people only stay here in MO temporarily but they plan on going back to CO in time as well so who knows...maybe I'll see these people again in the future
..thats about it really. those are the considerable factors which we're going off from now, and as time goes on we'll find more factors which will tip the scale of deciding if CO would be a great place for us to move to. we have 6 months to plan this. which is plenty of time, but before we know it, that time wont last as long as we know it. We had thought of going to Humboldt CA but E wouldnt be able to handle the rates of CA living so unfortunately the location is scratched off the list. Who knows...we do feel a strong urge about being in CO so thats what we're leaning towards moving to.
Whelp...that's all for now folks. My school semester ends in the middle of May and I plan on working the entire summer to raise up money for our move, I'm still learning how to drive with E by my side and its gotten to a point where I can drive myself to/from work easily :) (despite it being a 5 min drive, I can still do it ALL BY MYSELF) and Matsi is still FAT >:D
Anyways, y'all know how to reach me. Hit me up via IM if you wanna chat or PM for my cell and you can be my texting buddy. I hope you all are doing just fine and working for what you believe in what's right. Till then...Matsi and I will be trotting around...
~peace out~
