WORKING ON NEW TRELLO, SEND TEXT.
General | Posted 11 months agoHello! I am working on a new Trello board. To make sure everyone is included, if I owe you art, please send a simple "bump" or similar message. I will be going through everything again and triple-checking the Trello board before making it public and sending it to clients. Once it is made public, if I miss anyone, just poke me and I'll add them. It's been rough and hectic, so I haven't been able to track everything, but I'm hoping to get most, if not all, on there.
Thank you!
Thank you!
COMMISSIONS SLOW- trello, etc
General | Posted 11 months agoCommission Update – March 2025
Hey everyone,
I wanted to give a quick update regarding commissions and my current situation. As many of you know, I recently started a new job, and it has been absolutely exhausting. In just 2.5 weeks, I’ve worked around 90 hours, pushing myself to cover every single bill, necessity, and commitment I owe. This includes a full rodent restock, a small no-interest loan, and bills that I had to put on hold for months because I didn’t have the ability to take commissions.
I want to remind everyone that I never planned on taking any new commissions beyond my original 2024 queue. Unfortunately, due to financial strain, I was forced to take on more work, and my queue is still nowhere near finished. I know this has caused delays, and I truly appreciate everyone’s patience.
As stated in my Terms of Service across all platforms, my commission turnaround has always been in the 3-5 month range. However, with my new job, this timeframe is going to be even slower. I now work at a specialized dog center that also handles exotics, which is extremely hands-on and physically demanding. Every shift involves working with large machines, equipment, and animals, and I often come home covered in pee and poop, completely exhausted. The adjustment has been rough—I’ve been sleeping more than anything during my off time just to recover.
To make things worse, I messed up the nerves in one of my fingers within the first two weeks, making it painful to draw for more than a day at a time. Even using a computer or phone normally has been a struggle. This has significantly impacted my ability to work on commissions at the pace I had originally planned.
On top of that, I still have my own animals to care for—around 20 snakes—which takes a few hours a day due to the level of enrichment I provide. I’m also still working on getting my driver’s license, which eats up most of my remaining free time when I’m not asleep.
I’m doing my best to balance everything, and I appreciate your understanding. Once I get a chance, I’ll be releasing a new schedule for commissions and a Trello board to help keep everyone updated. Until then, thank you all for your patience—I know this is frustrating, and I really appreciate those who have stuck with me through all of this.
If you have any concerns, feel free to reach out, but please understand responses might be delayed. Thanks again for your support!

Update! A big one
General | Posted 12 months agoI finally have a job! This is something I’ve been working toward for over a year, and I’m beyond excited to share the news. I’m currently going through my first week of training, and while it’s a big adjustment, I’m incredibly grateful for this opportunity.
Because of this, I won’t be working on commissions for at least the next week. I want to take the time to fully learn everything about the job, establish a solid routine, and figure out a schedule that allows me to balance both work and art. Right now, my focus is on getting comfortable with my new responsibilities and adapting to the workload.
This job is demanding, both physically and mentally. I come home completely exhausted, especially on days when I work in the morning, so I’ve decided that I won’t be pushing myself to draw after those shifts. My well-being comes first, and I need to make sure I’m not overloading myself.
For those curious about my new job—it’s an animal training position at a facility that specializes in rehabilitating last-chance animals. We work with dogs that have severe behavioral issues, many of whom were on euthanasia lists, as well as exotic animals that require specialized care. It’s a challenging job, but also incredibly rewarding, and I’m looking forward to making a difference in these animals’ lives.
With my new job and ongoing hand issues—which are affected by my work—I simply won’t have the time or energy to take on as much artwork as before. Because of this, I’ve made the decision to issue refunds for most of my current commission queue.
My priority is to get my finances in order first—pay off a few bills, buy essential supplies for my snakes, and make sure everything is stable. Once that’s handled, I will start issuing refunds in an organized manner:
I will be refunding most large orders, but not all at once. For example, if someone has a $300 commission, I will refund it in payments over time rather than in a lump sum.
Refunds will be issued from oldest to newest, meaning I will start with my longest-standing clients first and work my way down the list.
I will not be refunding smaller commissions, such as icons, reference sheets, or similarly smaller pieces. These are things I may still be able to complete in my free time, whereas larger projects require much more energy and focus.
To help keep track of everything, I will be setting up a new Trello as soon as I have the chance.
I’ve been under an enormous amount of stress trying to juggle everything, and finally having a job means I can start focusing on long-term stability. I truly appreciate everyone’s patience and support during this transition—it means the world to me.
On another note, I recently got some very rare boa localities! I’ll be sharing images of them soon just to post something, since there won’t be as much art for a bit. Hope y’all don’t mind some snake content!

Job soon—just need some money to hold over.
General | Posted a year agoI am hopefully going to start a job very soon; it seems like they are finishing the confirmation and will send payroll information. I hope.
But I still need some money for animal stuff until I start, so donations are appreciated.

Comm status - February
General | Posted a year agoStatus Update – Please Read
I want to be fully transparent about my current situation, both with commissions and life in general. For months, I’ve been doing everything I can to secure a stable job—applying to countless positions, going through multiple interviews, and even relocating to a new area in hopes of better opportunities. One job is still in the air, but after a month of waiting with no updates, I’m left in limbo. Meanwhile, art has been my only real source of income, and I had no chance to finish my 2024 queue before being forced to take on more commissions just to stay afloat.
Unfortunately, circumstances beyond my control have left me overwhelmed. In January alone, I had to take on nearly $2k worth of commissions after being put in an impossible situation. I still have around 20 pieces from 2024 to complete, meaning I haven’t been able to start most of my newer commissions yet. Because of this, I will be creating a separate 2025 queue soon and will provide a better timeline once I’ve tackled a significant portion of my outstanding work.
To everyone I owe art to: You will 100% receive your art or a refund—that is a promise. However, I ask for patience and understanding as I work through everything at a pace that doesn’t completely destroy me. I’m doing my absolute best, but I also struggle with chronic hand pain that sometimes makes it physically impossible to draw for weeks at a time.
I completely understand that waiting for art can be frustrating, and I truly appreciate those who have been patient with me. As a way to make up for any delays, I’m more than happy to upgrade certain commissions to larger pieces if it helps compensate for the wait. For example, if you originally ordered an icon, I can turn it into a fullbody or something more detailed. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if this is something you’d be interested in—I just want to make sure everyone gets something worthwhile in the end.
I hate that things have piled up like this, and I hate that I’m even in this position. But I want to be upfront and let everyone know that I am working through my backlog and will make sure every order is completed or refunded. Thank you to those who have continued to support and understand me—I appreciate you more than words can express.

UPDATE: COMMS , REFUNDS, AND EVERYTHING
General | Posted a year agoHello everyone, first and foremost, I want to apologize for my absence and lack of communication over the past few months. It has been an incredibly stressful and overwhelming period, and I appreciate those who have been patient with me during this time.
Back in September 2024, I was bitten by a venomous Eastern Copperhead. While I recovered well from the bite, the aftermath brought significant stress and personal challenges. Unfortunately, due to an NDA, I cannot disclose certain events that added to this, but I can still share some of the major hurdles I’ve faced.
Following the bite, I encountered several major setbacks. I had to cut ties with some friends, which led to a large conflict and a period where I was largely unresponsive. I experienced three chargebacks totaling around $320, which, given my ongoing unemployment, left me scrambling to cover the losses. I completed a large commission order of 20+ icons in December and took a much-needed break. Then, January arrived, and things only became more difficult. I worked with an old friend to resolve an issue, which led to me being forced to pay $1,000 to two separate parties. My freezer broke, causing me to lose all my snake food, and I had to come up with $600 to replace it. One of my snakes fell ill, requiring a vet visit. I was also forced to move, which added even more financial strain. To manage these sudden expenses, I had to take out an $800 loan, which was officially paid off as of January 31st.
Due to these unexpected financial burdens, I had no choice but to take on more commissions earlier than planned, despite my intention to clear my queue first. I understand that some of you are waiting on art or refunds, and I want to stress that if I owe you artwork or a refund, you will receive it. However, I ask for patience and understanding. Over the past two years, I have struggled to secure stable employment, and these recent events forced me to take on an overwhelming workload just to stay afloat. I am actively working through my queue, but I am only human.
My current priorities are completing my old queue from 2024 before tackling any new commissions. Refunds will begin mid-to-late February. However, since I am still unemployed, issuing a refund means taking on another commission of equal value. Unfortunately, my adoptables rarely sell, whether they are low-cost or expensive, so this is my only option. If you rush me for a refund, it only forces me to take on more work, further delaying everything. To speed up the process, my friend Zomb13geist will be assisting with coloring and other tasks when needed. Additionally, due to ongoing hand issues, I cannot work constantly, so this collaboration will help ensure things move along more efficiently.
Beyond commissions, I am also balancing other important life responsibilities, including job hunting since I need stable income to move forward, learning to drive so I can obtain my driver’s license, and building a new room because I recently moved and need to set up a proper living space, as my current room is too small and becomes unbearably hot due to the number of animals I care for.
I am doing everything I can to get back on track, and I appreciate those who have shown patience and understanding. If anyone requires proof regarding loan payments, my recent move, vet visits, or other expenses, I am more than willing to provide documentation. Thank you all for your patience and support. — Ash

goal reached, but now time for a new one - semi urgent
General | Posted a year agoFirst off, a huge thank you to everyone who has helped so far—thanks to your generosity, the first major expense is covered! Reaching $1,000 in less than a month has been an incredible relief. I’m feeling so much more relaxed and ready to keep moving forward.
That said, I now have another goal: I need to raise an additional $1,000 over the next 2–3 months to restock food for my snakes. While this isn’t as urgent, it’s still important, especially for the younger animals. Some of them can’t go as long without food as the adults, and ensuring their well-being is my top priority.
As many of you know, I’m in the middle of a move and currently relying on donations and art commissions as my sole sources of income. Every little bit helps, whether it’s a donation or sharing my work with others who might want to support me.
Thank you again for your kindness and support. It means the world to me and my animals!
if you'd like to donate:

my comms will remain open as well, and I will be putting together a few more package deals as well to try to get this money, after this I am still having to get even more funds as I am moving in with my dad and I will have to raise around 3k to be able to build a dedicated snake room, and also to upgrade enclosures, heating, and other things. Times are harsh, and I hope I can land a job as soon as possible.

Emergency moving funds
General | Posted a year agoOkay, so due to my mental health and other things, I'm moving back in with my dad, and we need money to make it happen. Donations are appreciated
https://ko-fi.com/wiltedboa/goal?g=0
I've been living with my grandparents for the past two years. It was okay when I had a job, but then the cops happened, and I was forced to leave due to my mental health. Over a year later, and I've been fighting to get a job.
My uncle got the house raided, and he was found guilty of possessing CP. To this day, my house is watched, and it bothers me. I want to leave.
I cannot draw a lot. I have major depressive episodes, etc. The only positive is my animals. So my dad is taking me back in, but we need money to build a new reptile house so I can still keep my animals since I plan to professionally work with reptiles.
Despite my lack of income, my housemates have stopped buying food for me. I have to buy my own, which means I go weeks without eating much, if at all, at times. The house is also infested with roaches.
I can see 50 roaches in the kitchen sink at night, slugs, spiders, etc., everywhere. The house also has bad electricity; I have to choose between a heater and my PC at times, or the breaker blows.
It's an old house, there before this was a town, and everything my grandparents built. We don't have proper wiring; we have extension cords in the walls. There is black mold everywhere, and it does affect me and my animals at times.
My current goal is $500; this will also go toward starting proper therapy. I have one snake for sale for the same price, but I don't want to sell it, so getting this money without selling it would be amazing. So please, if you can help, help. Thank you.

Commission update, birthday, goals, etc
General | Posted a year agoCommission Update
Hey everyone, I wanted to share an update on where things stand with my commissions and plans moving forward.
I’ve officially completed my largest commission order to date! My next goal is to finish all the (already) colored commissions by the end of this month. Starting January 1st, I’ll begin sketching all unrefunded commissions, including any recent ones I’ve accepted. Unfortunately, I’ve had to push back some plans since I’m just now getting over the flu, but I’m doing my best to get everything back on track.
For commissions that fall under my refund category, I haven’t been able to start processing refunds yet. I was holding out hope after applying to multiple jobs that matched my experience (like pet stores and customer service with Chewy), but unfortunately, none of them worked out. I even went through the entire interview process with PetSmart, including the final interview, but it’s been two weeks with no feedback, and the listing has since closed. It’s disheartening, and I’m still processing that.
Refunds for unstarted commissions are a priority, but they’ll take some time as I handle essential expenses like bills and animal care first. I plan to refund the majority of them as soon as I can.
Once I’ve completed 90% of my current projects, I’ll reopen commissions with a new structure to streamline the process and avoid burnout. There will be two main types offered: rendered and simplified. Rendered pieces may involve some collaborative work to speed things up and reduce hand strain (pricing will reflect this). Furry commissions will be more limited, with a focus on unique species to keep things fresh and avoid repetitive work.
On another note, my 21st birthday is coming up on the 23rd, Since I’m still unemployed and could really use grocery funds, any support would mean the world to me:

Snake bite update
General | Posted a year agoHello,
I apologize for the delay in my response. I have been quite busy lately and have not had much time to focus on personal matters.
Regarding The snake bite, it is fully healed with no lasting damage. I do experience occasional pain, but it does not affect my mobility.
I have not been able to draw as much as I would like due to my job search. I have decided to refund the majority of my ongoing commissions over the next few months as I am experiencing burnout and will not be able to complete them in a timely manner.
I am currently in good health, and my hand is recovering well. Regarding the medical bill, I have decided to temporarily disregard it. The total cost of the snake bite treatment was slightly over $4000. I am hopeful that it will not be sent to collections. In the meantime, I plan to use any substantial income from snake breeding in the next year or two to settle this debt.
I genuinely appreciate the thoughtful messages and understanding from my clients during this challenging period. The past few months have been particularly stressful due to personal family matters, compounded by the ongoing political climate. Additionally, I recently came out as Trans to my family, which added to the personal challenges I have been facing, some did not take it well.
Presently, I am diligently working to complete as many commissions as possible before the end of December. My primary focus is on completing the largest order of icons, which is nearing completion and should be finished by the first week of December. If all goes according to plan, I will then finalize any partially completed projects and issue refunds for any outstanding orders.
I have an interview scheduled for today and a few more in December. I am hopeful that at least one of these interviews will result in a job offer. If I am successful in securing a position, I plan to use my initial paychecks to settle my outstanding art-related debts.
I appreciate your patience and understanding during this transition. I am committed to providing the highest level of service and expertise in my field. I wish you all a productive and successful day.

COMMISSION UPDATE
General | Posted a year agoHello,
I hope this message finds you well. I want to sincerely apologize for the delays you've experienced with your orders. I've been navigating a number of challenges since my recent snake bite, which have impacted my ability to fulfill orders as quickly as I'd like.
I’m working hard to get back on track and plan to have at least 80-90% of orders completed by the end of December. I understand that many of you may be waiting for your items or considering refunds, and I truly appreciate your patience during this difficult time.
Unfortunately, due to my current situation, I am unable to process refunds until I have a source of income again. I’m actively seeking a job and exploring options to sell items to help resolve these financial issues, but it may take some time. I assure you that your orders are important to me, and I am committed to fulfilling them as soon as possible.
Thank you for your understanding and support. I will keep you updated on my progress and am grateful for your patience as I work through these challenges.
Artist change offer is still open, see this post:

General | Posted a year agoI'm reaching out to provide an important update regarding my commission work. If I have already gotten to the coloring stage on your order, please disregard this message.
Due to the stress and delays I have been experiencing, my friend Zombie has kindly offered to assist me by taking over some of my commissions. Zombie is an exceptionally talented artist, and you can find their work through the links below.
If you’re interested in having Zombie complete your commission, please reach out to them directly via their social media or Discord. Once you make this decision, kindly inform me so I can remove you from my Trello list. Make sure to note you sre a client of mine, provide the OC and type of commission to them as well.
Zombie will fulfill the original commission you paid for. For instance, if you ordered an icon, you will receive an icon.
However, for bundle orders, they may be willing to create one artwork of equal value. For example, if you paid $300 for a bundle, they may offer a single piece worth that amount. Just talk with them.
I appreciate your understanding during this challenging time. This arrangement will help alleviate my workload and allow me to focus on completing existing projects.

Snake bite update - commissions on hiatus
General | Posted a year agoHi everyone,
I wanted to share an update regarding my recent health situation. I’m back home after being bitten by a copperhead snake. While my hand can move, I can only grip small objects like my phone. I have a follow-up appointment next week to evaluate any nerve and muscle damage, and it looks like recovery could take several months. Physical therapy may be necessary to help regain strength and mobility.
Unfortunately, this means I won’t be able to work on my art for at least a month, as I rely on both hands for my drawings. My health has to take priority right now, and I appreciate your understanding as I focus on healing.
Additionally, I won’t be able to issue refunds as quickly due to significant medical bills. Each vial of antivenin cost $3,000, and I received ten, plus ambulance fees. My insurance will cover some of it, but not everything.
Thank you for your support during this time. I hope to be back to creating soon!
If, for whatever reason, you need papers or something to prove this happened, I can oblige.
