Gotta see about getting a better Wi-fi source that's at home. That Web-On-The-Go is BS-in-H20.
I hope I get something good soon.
Update... a year later (Back!)
Posted 11 years agoHey.
Being gone for so long really sucks ass.
Especially when I finally gotten back on
with a piecemeal Wi-Fi hotspot from Sage
Telecom.
Better than nothing.

Update
Posted 12 years agoHeya.
Things took a downward turn. My cable and net are gone, and
I'm using the public WiFi at McRonald's and the local public
library. I'm being especially careful not to do anything else here...
Especially about what happened to Beiros a while back, and how
some folks like to assume about folks in the Furry Community are
like him.
Anyway. just letting you know, I'm okay, and looking for that ever-
elusive job that is slipperier than an otter covered in butter.
Here's to luck, folks.

Still waiting for my job while wolves howl for potatoes.
Posted 12 years agoApplied last week for a job picking up litter on the highways at my
old job.
Boss told me to wait for the person to process application to return
in the following week from their vacation... waited all week.
If there was a facepalm icon for these journals, I'd have Picard and
Riker double-facepalm. Here's hoping that next Monday will clear up
everything.
On a lighter and a much-needed funny note...
... it's funny that these wolves howling for potatoes and green beans have folks laughing like hyenas.
I dare you not to laugh!

Temporary Reprieve
Posted 12 years agoThe cable company gave me a temporary reprieve until I get a job.
I hope the job is SOON.
I hope the job is SOON.
Last Transmission... that is, until I get another job.
Posted 12 years agoWell, my friends... it's been fun.
After midnight tonight, the cable and all of its treats goes off.
Don't worry, I'll be back, from the public library or McDonald's.
Hopefully with everything straightened out and with employment
at a new job.
But I'm not going for the fast food kind ever again.
The kind of work at Jackal 'n' Fox left a bad taste in my mouth.
Those who do work/have worked in that sector (you know who you are)
do KNOW that is an awful fact.
Once I get all of those loose and loudly quacking ducks in a row.
Stay happy, my friends.

Goodbye cable and 'net and everything else...
Posted 12 years ago(Sarcasm mode) Oh, what a wonderful week it has been!
I had gotten fired from my job at Jack in the Box, the cable is month late before
I can ever collect unemployment, and I am owing $10,700 in Social Security
payments... which was why I was working a job in the first place.(/Sarcasm mode)
Hopefully, I can get a job soon to get rid of those.
Well, that all I have to say. Until Next time.

OT: Unemployed.
Posted 12 years agoI am now one of the many unemployed.
I had a job back in October in one of the fast-food
chains as a maintenance worker.
I followed some things close to the letter as possible, not
to mention lent a hand whenever I could to my fellow work
mates.
I was using the job to make certain that my bills were paid
on time, while helping out my mom.
Now, I'll have to get ready to start searching for a job once more.
But at least I tried to hang on as long as I did.

Posted 13 years agoThere are times I am I am glad I am not one
to have a gun...
Case in point: This morning while my sister was watching Steve Wilkos,
I went in to fix the coffee for mom. My sister proceeded to bitch about me
being rude to disturb her, even though I was trying my best to stay quiet.
My sister was supposed to have stayed with mom until AFTER her recovery for a
much-needed knee surgery before heading back to Dallas back in January, but
when I offered to pay for her way back, she said no. Then that stay extended
from 2 weeks to six months. And along with it, nagging, sniping, and the usual
earmarks of a narcissistic asshole (including the whining about "how much SHE
has done for the family" broken-record number.)
I'm worried that the landlord would revoke our lease because we have an unlisted
tenant in me and my mom's apartment, which violates it. Egad.
Nobody needs this shit. Absolutely NOBODY.
Not my best friends nor my worst enemies. You know where I'm coming from.

The Cosmopolitan Hotel fired her for... WHAT?!!
Posted 13 years agoFired for Bye Bye: Hotel Employee Claims Pregnancy Discrimination
Former sales associate states she was constantly harassed
From WebProNews By Todd Rigney · May 18, 2012
Fired for bye bye? Not hardly claims former Cosmopolitan Resort and Casino employee Melodee Megia, who states that the company terminated her for being pregnant. The hotel’s reasoning: Instead of saying “goodbye” to one of the guests over the phone, she said “bye bye”. Given that they’re an upscale, four-star hotel in Las Vegas, is this sort of verbal slippage grounds for termination? Her attorneys don’t seem to think so.
Megia, a sales associate whose duties included answering the phone for guests requesting room service, claims that, contrary to what her former employer states, she was fired for being pregnant. In fact, she was harassed and ridiculed endlessly during her employment with the company, which ran from November 2010 until August 2011. In addition to answer phones, Megia was occasionally asked to deliver items to rooms.
According to attorneys Mark Thierman and Jason Kuller, Megia was “denigrated verbally and was mistreated because of her pregnancy.” The lawsuit states that her manager frequently made derogatory comments about her pregnancy in front of other employees. Thierman states that none of this behavior took place until the hotel learned of her condition. In addition to the pregnancy discrimination, the hotel is facing a class-action lawsuit filed by Megia on behalf of several employees for unpaid wages.
“Service workers are not protected,” Thierman explained. “Nevada has a misconception that ‘right to work’ means ‘right to abuse,’ when it really means workers don’t have to join a union.”
The Cosmopolitan Resort and Casino, which opened its doors in 2010, has remained tight-lipped on the subject, stating that they simply do not comment on impending lawsuits.
Me thinks the owner of the Cosmopolitan Resort and Casino should NOT get any more business if they fire women for being pregnant.
Way to run a railroad, douche-bag.

Posted 13 years agoI was sitting in my room and busy minding my business.
As my sister was busy running her mouth (the sister that came

She was still talking on the phone, but I got up, and asked her
if there was anything wrong. She just GLARED at me as if I had

I think I'll give my concerns to someone who really needs them.

Posted 13 years agoDigital Domain’s John Textor Brags to Investors about Exploiting Animation Student Labor
by Amid Amidi
March 29, 2012 2:12 am
Digital Domain CEO John Textor (pictured above with his wife) envisions big things for his company’s new feature animation studio in Port St. Lucie, Florida called Tradition Studios. While we’ve written about the studio’s ambitious feature film plans, what wasn’t known until recently is how Textor intends to create the films. His plan is to convince students to pay Digital Domain to work on its films for free.
The blog VFX Soldier has obtained a speech that Textor gave last November to investors in which he revealed how the company’s new animation school Digital Domain Institute will be integrated with the Tradition studio. Textor told the audience:
Classes starting in the education space, what’s interesting is the relationship between the digital studio and the college. Not only is this a first in a number of ways that we’ve talked about, but 30% of the workforce at our digital studio down in Florida, is not only going to be free, with student labor, it’s going to be labor that’s actually paying us for the privilege of working on our films.
Now this was the controversial element of this and the first discussions with the Department of Education, ’cause it sounds like you’re taking advantage of the students. But we were able to persuade even the academic community, if we don’t do something to dramatically reduce costs in our industry, not only ours but many other industries in this country, then we’re going to lose these industries .. we’re going to lose these jobs. And our industry was going very quickly to India and China.
Students, in other words, will pay up to $105,000 for the “privilege” of working on Digital Domain’s features, the first of which will be The Legend of Tembo. As VFX Soldier points out, “It’s one thing to work for low pay, it’s another thing to work for free, but it’s unfathomable to be expected to pay to work for free.
If all of this sounds a little fishy, that’s because it is. The Animation Guild in Los Angeles is exploring whether Digital Domain might be in violation of state and federal labor laws. They’ve tried to communicate with multiple Florida government agencies, including the state’s Department of Education, with no luck yet. Federal labor laws, however, would appear to be in favor of artists as they clearly stipulate that interns cannot “perform productive work” (i.e. work on the production of a film) without being compensated with at least minimum wage and overtime pay. (Minimum wage, by the way, is $7.67 per hour in Florida.)
As animation education programs proliferate around the United States and competition intensifies for a finite number of jobs, studios find themselves in a position to exploit young artists more aggressively than ever before. Whether it’s Titmouse relocating its studio nearly 3,000 miles away to avoid paying its employees union wages or Digital Domain making people pay to work on its films, there are plenty of legal loopholes that studios can exploit to save a buck on the backs of their production crews. And some studio CEOs are so proud of themselves that they’ll publicly boast about how they’re getting away with it.
G****** YOU, HOLLYWOOD! YOU SUCK!!
Posted 13 years agoSaw a bit of a preview of what a travesty of EVERY kind...
They made a Three Stooges movie...
... they didn't even get the MOVIE COMPANY correct!!
I didn't see much and I still think it was a travesty.
Anyone who has seen the original Three Stooges short films
(you either love 'em or hate 'em) would know it wasn't made
at Fox, it was made by Columbia Pictures (the studio with the
lady holding the torch).
Greedy fucks.
And WHY should the Three Stooges be remade for THIS day and age?
Hollywood should focus on something better... like actually
READING some scripts and ideas for some ORIGINAL films,
actually LISTENING to the people on the INTERNET about how
BAD and GOOD some movies are from the PEOPLE, not the
from the New York Times or any big-name newspaper that
has be sucking up to Hollywood, or better yet, kicking out
Michael Bay, U** B***, Michael Moore, that fucktard who had
the audacity to make a movie out of a BOARD GAME as well as
Christopher Dodd (the king of all dick-heads) out from the
valley and into a jail cell where he'd get his daily ass-fucking
from some bone-breaking inmates on a daily basis!
Yeah, one can only dream.

As a fellow Texan, you are a disgrace. As an American, you are a traitor.
Kissing the foot of the entertainment industry by taking the kickbacks their

You would make people of all ages feel just like Jammie Thomas-Rasset,

You hoped to stir up people to impeach Obama, but now YOU are the one
to FACE IMPEACHMENT. And the people will do so.
