Ever now and then, I makes my own ginger ale (based on those quick
recipes online).

After it's made, I'd pour it up into 2-liter bottles (cleaned and saved from
previous forays in soda drinking by mom and I), and let it become my own
ginger ale a couple of days afterwards.

I missed a bottle under my desk.

It EXPLODED.

Can anyone recall those Works bombs people sometimes made?

Scared mom out of her wits, but it sure as hell scared the FUCK out of me!!

What a mess to clean up! Two liters of home-made ginger ale shot to Hell!

Lesson learned: bleed the pressure off of your homemade "brew"
or deal with the huge-assed mess afterwards...

TWO WEEKS AGO...

... Found out that a neighbor of mine passed away. She'd call on me to help take out her garbage,
take her clothes and bed sheets to wash, and take her groceries up to her apartment up a flight of
stairs. I felt good, being able to lend a hand... I know you guys had a nice neighbor you'd help
out in your neighborhood. That said, I'm sure you understand.

TODAY... I realized lightning had struck really, REALLY CLOSE. Had a thunderstorm roll in.
After a while, the rain was coming down.

KABOOM!!!

I thought a bolt of lightning had struck at a cell phone tower.

I was wrong.

It had struck at a large pine tree at the playground.

I didn't know until after the storm subsided and I was headed for the mailbox.

The tree had several places where it bark was blasted off by the sudden expansion
and contraction by the violently explosive electrical discharge, along with cracks
and debris where it nearly split from it, too.

I'm no arborist, but I can tell that tree is going to be coming down very soon.

Typed out on a secondhand phone.

At the start of March, my computer decided to go
on the fritz. When that happened, I then tried to get
my other computer (running Windows XP) to get back onto the net, but the wireless modem wasn't working.

I tried to get it running by running the program that reinstalls the driver.

BIG MISTAKE.

However, it was a good thing that I had backups
for that, but it looks like the modem is still not
working.

I hate to say it, but, I think that I may have do a factory reset on it to get reconnected to the net.

Wish me luck in that or finding an alternative solution to my problem.

Now that it's now 2024... I have to make a new resolution...

I've been busy trying to help Mom with things.

Housework, grocery runs, and such.

Boy, I've got some catching up to do...

I was told by an employment agency I had been on (to collect unemployment
after being fired 02/08/21 but chose not to due to the rent issues) that if I don't
get a job, bye-bye food stamps.

And when I got wind of the local job fair in town at 9 am, I had to walk there from home
to see what particular employers were there for the choosing. There were some good jobs, but
most of them scared me off. Not dissing them but they were from out of town and I
cannot get there on foot nor get a ride without having to shovel up a ton of money:

· Law enforcement/working within the prison,
· Two that were Home Health for the Elderly,
· The Army (FFS HMFN!),
· Criminal Justice (*cue the Law and Order sound-bite*)
· Firefighter/EMT (even though I've see EMERGENCY! so many times but not the rest of those
kind of shows the 9-1-1 and the like, I know that the situations that things are FAR WORSE than on television
where I would end up saying, "Gage and DeSoto didn't have to deal with THIS SHIT!!!")

And what made it worse?

The guy who wanted me to be there at the job expo, kept implying that I should work at the prison.

I turned that down.

He then pressed issue of having me work at the local retirement community as a dishwasher

Turned it down because a niece of mine had an asshole of a bitch supervisor give her a hard time when she
had worked there. Uh-uh. I'm not going to deal with that goddamned shit, having that bitch pick up with
me for what harassment she dished on the niece just because she (the supervisor) had a burr up her cunt
about my mother from long ago... and yes, the supervisor is a CUNT .

I didn't tell him that. Wanted to, but discretion forbade me.

Either that or myself being a tad absent-minded.

He man tried to press me into trying for work at the local outdoor gardening center at the edge of town.
He was also going to look into my file at the unemployment website, but a crash took place, and I discreetly
bowed out.

I had to walk to work when I had been employed at the Box Burger, and he expects me to walk from
one part of the western side of the city limits to the southern part of the city limits while dealing with
arthritic ankles (from a bicycle accident that happened in my 20s) and be on my feet all day?

Considering that certain pics are arousing questionable art
(someone else was raising questions about it, thinking that it
was leaning toward cub porn about panty shots), but I'm
gonna have to delete some of my pics.

However, I'm at an impasse on which ones at the time being.

I'm checking my computer if I have a copy of the pics there, so
I won't have to download them to save them afterward.

I know it's been a long time ago that a certain someone wanted
me to do that because he was a prick who wanted those who were
on his webcomics site to obey him. And a few artists besides myself
absolutely HATED how he ran THAT lemonade stand.

But it wasn't him that pissed me to that point... it was someone completely different.

Now I am tired and just pissed off that kind of shit is happening again.
