Commission info
General | Posted 2 years agoJust remaking this to streamline it and update details since I’ve not updated things or prices since 2021.
Pricing
--$100 per fully shaded, rendered pic + $40-50 per additional character + $30-45 for detailed background.
--Simple un-detailed backgrounds are usually $20-25 – examples are something like just a couch or bed with no other particular detail (extra furniture, etc) in the room
--Complex details may incur a small $5-15 charge more. This is things such as wings, tattoos, complicated patternings, taurs, multiple limbs, complex background details (patterns or such)
--A particularly complex background may incur extra charges, this mostly relates to something like a cityscape.
--Additional characters are charged based on the degree of them being in the pic and the detail and complexity.
--In general, rule of thumb is that less than half visible will be $40-$45, more than half visible will be $45-$50.
--Stuff like a face or body part (say, underneath someone, or out of a maw in a vore pic, or such) will be $10-25 (faces tend to be the more expensive here).
--Small micros in a macro/micro pic are also usually less due to generally being less detailed than a full-sized character. (Note that if they're in the foreground/focal point and thus detailed, or if you then have a panel with a closeup of them, the full extra character charge will apply).
Panels (such as a small panel with a detail in, not a full-on comic panel) are usually minimum $10-20, potentially more depending on the detail and complexity and characters in the panel.
Alt versions are usually $5-20, dependent on the complexity and changes.
I usually only tend to allow one alt version if there are particular changes to the scene that would require separately shading it (e.g. something like clothes vs nude, a different position)
Alts that are merely simple additions/removals like no text, or added pre or sweat, etc) have no limit.
I don't do private commissions (though anonymous is fine) but private alts are acceptable: rule-of-thumb is that I need to have at least one piece that I can post as that’s how I attract more customers after all.
Please be aware, your slot is not guaranteed until we have agreed on the picture, price, and details! I may turn down your commission depending on the complexity of the idea or characters and how comfortable I feel drawing it, please don't take it as a personal insult or a judgment against your idea or characters.
It's most often simply a case that I feel I wouldn't be able to draw your idea and/or character(s) well enough and thus don't feel comfortable taking money for it when I feel I won't be able to do it justice.
I reserve the right to cancel a commission at any time, with a partial refund depending on how far into the process we are if you've paid.
----
General process
I work via four steps: Sketch, Lines, Flat Colours, Shading.
Once a sketch is finalised and agreed on, I will send the invoice. Once payment is done, each step will be done in turn and I will send a WIP to check with you at each stage to make sure there are no mistakes or problems before I move onto the next step. You are also free to ask for a WIP anytime if you want.
The more detail you give on your idea, the better it will come out. For example, "My character doing X" gives the barebones but doesn't tell me much that I can work off of.
Any particular pose you have in mind? Any particular angle? Expression, mood? Are they wearing anything, any particular designs or colours? Do you want any text or dialogue? If there's a background then where are they? What do you want the focus to especially be on, etc?
The more detail you give the better I can draw something to your liking I CAN'T stress that enough, please give as much detail as to what you want, what will make you enjoy the pic the most, what's inspired it, and all.
***Something like a little MSpaint sketch of how you visualise the composition is insanely useful.***
Please have an up-to-date reference. If you do not have a visual reference, please type one up along with colour swatches or examples for the specific colours of your character.
If any details have changed or are wrong in the refs, be sure to tell me.
If there are details about your character not visible in the reference pictures but that will be in your commission (markings on their back or such) then please tell me!
Final rules
As a general rule, solid no's are:
Underage/cub
Gore
Breasts/vagina (if visible in the pic)
Ferals/quadrupeds (except taurs) - exception for dragons most of the time, on an on-character and on-idea basis
Anything to do with toilet stuff/filth (scat, watersports, farts, etc)
Explicit fatal vore and hard vore (this relates mostly to outright references to death, dying, killing, and such. Implied via euphemism/text, etc, is fine)
Graphic/visual digestion/melting (implied is fine)
Reference sheets
Stickers
Comics (mainly multiple-page kind of stuff, sequences are negotiable)
And finally, please do not commission me if you or anyone else involved in the pic are under 18. I will permanently blacklist you if you do so.
Do not likewise commission me if you do not have permission to use the characters involved. If I discover you commissioned something with someone’s character without their permission or against their wishes, I will likewise blacklist you.

General | Posted 3 years agoDecided to remake my old Telegram channel, as a place to kinda have an easy gallery. Nothing too fancy, just gonna be art and sketches for those interested
You can find it at https://t.me/VodcatScratches

Commission prices
General | Posted 4 years agoAs some of you might be aware, Paypal's been raising fees and stuff, which has left me with little choice but to raise prices to cover it. Just a $10 increase, with $5 for extra characters. I apologise for this, I really never like doing this and am never too comfortable with my prices, hahhh.
Again, apologies for doing so, thank you for understanding.

Pruning Telegram and Discord
General | Posted 4 years agoWill probably be doing a deep clean of my contacts on Telegram and Discord in the coming week. Keeping only really those actually being social and engaging. If you get removed, please understand it's nothing against you, feel free to re-add me. Just a heads-up I guess.
Commissions closed and slots chosen
General | Posted 4 years agoThank you as always to everyone who showed interest, really got flooded with ideas, was tough to cut down. :x
Decided to take on one extra slot to make a round four. Have chosen the slots and contacted people to confirm details. Apologies if I don't pick your idea, please don't take it personally! You all have such crazy good ideas that it's tough as hell picking while trying to balance ideas, variety, characters, themes, and also just the overall workload in terms of pic complexities, all to chose from nearly 20 excellent ideas down to just 3-4.
Thank you all again!

[CLOSED] Open for commissions, 3 slots
General | Posted 4 years agoApologies for not doing the usual heads-up in advance, was meant to yesterday but due to the day, I was out and forgot to, so will keep this open longer to compensate. As the title says, open for commissions, 3 slots, these are all slots that I will pick from the presented ideas after closing tomorrow at 6PM (US Central time).
Please see HERE for details/pricing and such.
Please NOTE me if interested. And please note me your ideas, not just 'can I have a slot' and such because all I'll do is ask for the details anyway.
Thank you!

Commission info - outdated
General | Posted 6 years agoJust a general journal I can point to for commission infoooo
--$90 per pic + $35-45 per additional character + $25-35 for detailed background.
--Simple un-detailed backgrounds are usually $15-20.
--Complex details may incur a small $5-10 charge more, usually for either intricate, complicated patterning, wings, complicated background details, intricate designs, or such, or for details such as an internal view or extra closeup panel or for background objects that aren't a full, detailed background.
--Additional characters are charged based on the degree of them being in the pic and the detail and complexity.
--In general, rule of thumb is that less than half visible will be $35-$40, more than half visible will be $40-$45.
--Stuff like a face or body part poking from a maw in a vore pic or from underneath someone, etc, will be $10-25 (faces tend to be the more expensive here).
--Small micros in a macro/micro pic may also be less due to generally being less detailed than a full-sized character.
Inset panels (that aren't just closeups of something already drawn in the main pic) are usually minimum $15, potentially more depending on the detail and complexity and characters in the panel.
Alt-versions are usually $5-15, dependent on the complexity and changes. I usually only tend to allow one alt-version (all dependent on how big the changes are, multiple with only small changes are okay).
I don't do private commissions (though anonymous is fine) but private alts are acceptable, my rule of thumb is that I need to have at least one piece that's postable.
Please be aware, your slot is not guaranteed until we have agreed on the picture, price, and details! I may turn down your commission depending on the complexity of the idea or characters and how comfortable I feel drawing it, please don't take it as a personal insult or such! It's most often simply a case that I feel I wouldn't be able to draw your idea and/or character(s) well enough and thus don't feel comfortable taking money for it when I feel I won't be able to draw it well.
Furthermore, if you say you'll take a slot, then leave me hanging without warning waiting for details and to finalise them while others are waiting then please don't be surprised if the slot has been taken by another.
I reserve the right to cancel a commission at any time, with a partial refund depending on how far into the process we are, if you've paid.

Something like a little MSpaint sketch of how you visualise the composition is insanely useful.
Please have an up-to-date reference or at least some other pictures of your character I can work from. They don't have to be masterpieces, I just need to know your characters' designs and colours. If any details have changed, be sure to tell me. If there are details about your character not visible in the reference pictures but that will be in your commission (markings on their back or such) then please tell me!
Once a cleaned sketch is finalised and agreed on, I will send an invoice. Once payment is done, inking and colours and then shading will be started. I will give a WIP to check with you at each stage, to make sure there are no mistakes or problems, although you are free to ask for a WIP anytime if you want.
Please already have the money when you get a slot. I can give some leeway, but asking me to wait to the end of the month or until you get money coming in from whatever source will just lead to your slot being given to someone else who can pay.
As a general rule, solid no's are:
Underage/cub
Gore
Breasts/vagina (if visible in the pic)
Humans
Ferals/quadrupeds (except taurs) - possible exception for dragons most of the time, again on-character and on-idea basis
Anything to do with toilet stuff/filth (scat, watersports, farts, etc)
Explicit fatal vore and hard vore (this relates mostly to outright references to death, dying, killing, and such. Implied via euphemism/text or via skulls, etc, is fine)
Graphic/visual digestion/melting (implied is fine)
Reference sheets (pls no)
Comics (pls super no)
And finally, please do not commission me if you or anyone else involved in the pic are under 18. I will permanently blacklist you if you do so.

General | Posted 7 years agoAnyone know any good ones? Vore-focused very much preferably since that's what I tend to draw most. Active, decently-sized, avoids politics/drama, preferably with others artists in?

Whatchu here for?
General | Posted 8 years agoIt's time for another "Vod is tired after a day digging bones and is curious about stuff" journal! ⭐️
Curious as to what exactly peeps watch me for. I imagine mostly the vurr, but I'm curious how much watch for other stuff that I maybe don't draw as much, whether kink/topic-wise, character-wise, etc, especially when it comes to stuff that's not-vurr or is a certain specific aspect of it.
So yeah! Lemme know, sate a curious cat today ⭐️

Whatchu wanna see more of?
General | Posted 9 years agoYeah it's about that time when I make another journal like this. :V
As the title says, whatchu wanna see more of? I'll note in advance this isn't a request journal, so "my fursona pls" isn't an answer. 8| I mean more in general, are there things people might want to see more of? More of X kind of vore, Y kind of predator/prey/character, Z kind of scene, more cat (hahah just joking more cat is coming anyway dealwithit), more macro, more of whatever really.
So yeah, what stuff in general do people want to see more of? Ain't promising anything, but I like to get ideas from y'all. Prolly won't reply to much stuff because there's only so many times I can say "yeah that's a good idea", but I read 'em all I promise swear on me tum.

Favourite pic?
General | Posted 9 years agoSo I'm curious, what's everyone's fave pic I've done, and why exactly?
I'm curious to know if there's a specific thing or pattern of stuff I've done well or that people particularly like, could give me some idea of what to focus on, look at improving, all that.
