So in order to get more art motivated, I want to draw some free art (still gonna use refs from my last journal), but i also want to try and give away free characters? Though the idea of them just being handed off seems a little odd to me.

I have a post here where I have "Draw to Adopt" characters.

This means:
If you send a drawing of that character, you can have it. Any quality, any medium, just show you have drawn them and have an interest in the character.

I do this in order to promote creativity with that character as well as know the person has actual interest.

Is this an interest to anyone? Or do people prefer to just have the character for free?

I'm aware that as a beginner artist and creator, my characters are not top interest by any means lol, so I don't know if it's too much to ask someone to draw them in turn to have them.

Thoughts below would be appreciated!

From beginning artists do you prefer:

-Paying up to $5 for a piece of whatever you want-
Pros: getting more effort put into your piece since the artist knows you're actually paying them
Cons: actually paying money

or

-Free art, however getting the option to tip with that "buy me a coffee" thingy-
Pros: Free! (with hopes that you tip, would be less than $5)
Cons: Artist may put less effort into something they are struggling with since they aren't necessarily getting paid for it.

Comment your thoughts! Preferably specific to my art and what you would be willing to actually do I suppose.
