I have been having art block like mad as of late. Mostly because of my dumb work schedule. So, to try to combat this, I think I’ll try to set a chalenge for myself, and hopefully, ACTUALLY follow through.

I have no clue if there is already a drawing chalenge for november, and I’m already late for inktober, so I’m doing something just for fun.

I’m calling it no vember. Rules are:

No skipping. One drawing, every day of november
No starting over. One page per day, max!
No erasing. All lines are final.

I’ll post the finished doodles here in my scraps, as well as my tumblr and twitter.

Because I’ll be putting them on twitter too, I’ll keep it SFW.

Finally had the motivation to pick up the pencil today. Finished the linework of a thing I started a week ago, and I’m really glad I scanned it before going further, because I proceeded to ruin it with the inking and colour I threw at it. Same old ting. I’m taking steps towards simplification, and streamlining of my life to allow for more artstuff, but the main dealio is drive. Motivation is hard to come by let-me-tell-You.

And on a humorous side note... someone has started posting some of my junk on e621, and its all of my most aweful doodles. Heheheh.

I finally posted the dragon drawing I had been working on. It was done as a request.

Definitely learned some stuff from it, but by no means is it my best work. And then I post it here, and FA makes it look all gross and pixely. bleh

Moving forward from here, I really wanna get back on track with Vaeu specific artstuff. I plan to draw as much as I can, but my work-life balance is a little wonky.

Hoping to get rolling on some really cool art. stay tuned.

‪So the remainder of this week is going to be a bit of a mess. Ive been invited to take part in the calgary pride parade, which is this Sunday. After this week though, I really want to try to turn my life around and draw a lot more. I have so many ideas, but so little free time‬

I’ve been thinking. I made up the vaeu, as a species, for a few reasons. To have something of my own, that people can’t complain too bad about when I get the anatomy wrong, and as a canvas on wich to paint the scenes and Ideas that occupy my mind.

But in all that time tinking them through, not once have I sat down and decided to build a propper fursona. So I figure I’ll design a vaeu character to project my inner self with.

I mean, I guess it doesent really count as a fursona, if it doesent have fur... but I think the idea is still valid.

In between working on other stuff, I plan to build from the ground up, a vaeu sona.

It will be done in both feral, and antrho form...

And his name is Whyn.

Whyn Doe.

Get it? Its a pun. Whyn Doe is pronounced the same as window. With a gentle whisper of an H sylable behind the first W.

Whyn Doe (window) is meaningful to me, as art is like a window to things which you can look at, but never interact with. If that makes sense.

So there it is. Vaeu is my species. Whyn is my sona.

Thats just the way it is. (Some things will never chnage)

I finally posted something, after a small eternity of silence. It's... not quite where I wanna be, but its a good step in the right direction. Still learning, and moving forward as quickly as I am able. I'm hoping streaming twice a week will keep me half motivated.

I’m, uhh... really, really art lazy some times... ok, a lot of the time. This needs to change.

I think I really need to put more effort into drawing cool fun stuff. It's way too easy to fall into the nsfw vortex, and it's fun, but I'd like to build up some diversity in my art stuffs ya know?

current projects are still a go, but moving forward, I'm going to try to break it up a bit.

I said my next cervalope post was going to be something specific, but I still posted other stuff first. Oops. The big drawing is still on the way, but it’s taking time.

So, I'm actually trying to draw as much as I can.

Ive been working like crazy to try to make progress on not just the "vaeu-69-group-funtimes" drawing, but a bunch of other doodles as well.

side stuff on the roster, I am :

-Doing a coloration redesign for the vaeu, trying to make the overall look, more balanced, and make genders even easier to tell apart.

-Planning a design for a neutral gender, body-modifying subculture of vaeu.

-Working on a big ass drawing project involving 16ish fully fleshed out drawings, (I don't even think I have 16 posts in my gallery yet? hahah heh... uh...)

-working on bettering my art style to make shape and form more readable.

-a few other thingies, ya know?

I know nobody cares, really, but I wanted to do a good ole update to make sure it's not assumed I've passed into the next.

Seriously though. I need to do a recolour of the vaeu. I like the brown/tan/creme colour palette, but I'm not fully sold on the markings and their shape. they just don't really accentuate the body the way I want to.

That, and I really need to diversify what I'm drawing. Anyone have an OC/fursona they want me to take a crack at? I could use the practice.

As I write this, I currently have 69 followers. That is pretty awesome. I think the next vaeu themed pic I post, will have to include some good ole 69. Because I can. That's a promise. The next vaeu drawing will be nsfw. With some mutual oral, maybe I'll even do a group pic with some lesbian vaeu does, for those that might not be about the dick.

I have been taking a bunch of time to work on a big (ish) art project that has been taking a lot of time, but I should really try to post something of my normal stuff once in a while, maybe even once a week if I have the drive for it.

I have been trying to learn new drawing techniques, and dabbling in the wonderful world of anthro stuff, but it is a slow go.

I'm working on a big project outside of FA. I might be dormant on here for a few. But I'll be back as soon as I am able, and I'm using this project to try and learn and/or refine a bunch of drawing techniques.

Anyway, keep kicking names and taking ass. You nerds are great.

I think I had murmured something in previous posts and journals, that I was going to do a huge story involving the vaeu universe. Now that I have had some time to think about it, I don’t see that being feasable, or even enjoyable for me to do. I have a lot of other stuff going on in my life that demands my time. I want to do art stuff as much as I can, but its tricky sometimes. Obligations get in the way.

I still plan on doing cool worldbuilding stuff, but it’ll be blips of stuff here and there. Technology concepts and social constructs, that sorta thing.

I was origonally going to go sorta dark with vaeu... but Ive decided, I really don’t want to. I really just want to stay light and shiny. The things I was going to be saying about human society and its impact on earth, metaphorically through the vaeu, have been said a milion times. I’m over it. I really just want vaeu to be a thing to use to slip away from earth stuff, ya know? A fantasy, to destract.

I am just going to keep using the vaeu as a conduit for interesting ideas.

A fair deal of these ieas are on the sexual side, and Ive decided I’m not ashamed of that, but thats not to say I won’t have cool clean stuff too.

I also plan to do a decent amount of crossover stuff. But I’m figuring out how comfortable I am with using other characters from local and even pop culture. Even that mercy devil crossover was pushing it for me. I’m working through if I’m okay with posting stuff online that isnt techincally mine. Does that make sesnse? Or am I just dumber than I look.
