It's my birthday this month, and I will spend it like I do every year; by pretending it doesn't exist.

Important stuff;

Those who have commissions with me currently- I am getting them done, but as I mentioned in my previous journal, I'm now working another job that has a pretty wonky schedule. I like it though, and I'm forklift certified now, which is probably the most exciting thing to happen since that one time I found out that steel wool does something really cool when you stick a 9v battery to it.

I apologize if commissions will take a little longer to complete than my usual nonstop rate, but it's probably for the better, because I found myself sitting at a desk for close to 10-12 hours a day. I still plan on doing commissions, but I want to get through a good bit of the list I currently have before adding anything else to it! I'll be sure to keep in touch with people and let them know of any delays, or questions I might have before getting to their prompts.

When I open for commissions in the future, they will be more along the traditional lines instead of wing-its. I'll explain more when the time comes.

In the meantime, I hope everyone has a great summer, and to those who keep up with me personally, you guys keep me going <3

As of now commissions are closed- I've managed to land myself a position that will let me relax a little and work on fun stuff. As I mentioned in the commission journal, I'll work through my current queue and reset my commissions to be less wing-it and more traditional involving slots. (If I've contacted you already, I'll get to it, don't you worry!)

I will, however, be collecting one more set of three, and I will email you directly to see if you're still wanting a wing-it before closing up shop until the queue is done.

Just so everyone's away, I've been really sick for a short while and things got thrown out of whack a bit. I'm back in the saddle and will be continuing with commissions.

I appreciate everyone's support and patience as I try to catch up, and a big thank you to those who have generously supported me thru ko-fi TTvTT I have your names on my list to do my absolute best when my manager adds your request to my roster!

In the meantime I'm going to try and get back up to speed as soon as possible. Again, thank you all for being patient with me and supporting me as I continue to try and find work. I wont lie, it's been difficult, but I'm hanging in there as I save up to move to another city in October.

Passive applications now open! At the moment these are for Wing-It Comms. Pricing and all that good stuff is in the application.
If interested in a DNP an option will exist in the application as well. Please read the TOS, it's long, but it explains everything.

Since I work on a quota system, it will work like this;

Apply for wing-it commission. I go down the list and work them to meet a weekly quota to make rent/bills. Simple! This means there's no more having to wait for slots to open.

You can also apply multiple times. I'll still favor newer over older applications so everyone gets a turn, but if quota demands it I will work on two projects for one person in a week. If all goes well, I'll add traditional comm options instead of wing-its, like comics and ref sheets.

In the event of a price change on anything those who have already applied will be charged the rate they applied for, not the new one.

As everyone's clearly noticed, I have been taking commissions from Bsky. I originally started doing this because I lost my job due to a lot of technical issues thanks to a winter storm and need the income. So far I'm very grateful for the generosity and understanding I've been shown TvT Especially Tater, who's not been doing well.

For the comms; It's a temporary thing until I can find work again, but since it's been a while (Still waiting on responses to applications, etc.) This may be semi permanent. So I will be expanding my scope to include FA as well. I have an application ready for launch that I'll put up around the end of this week. It will remain open and work through the queue as applications are placed... So there won't be any slot deadlines to worry about.

Things to keep in mind, however;

-This is just a temporary thing until I land a new job. If it's part time I will continue to work comms, though at a slower rate. If it's full time I will finish what I have slated for that week and close.
-These are Wing-It comms starting off. I'll have everything explained in the application, and If this DOES end up being a perma thing I will offer other other things like comics and ref sheets.
-I do have a manager who advises me on how to best put my time into stuff. That means if my manager says no, that means no.
-All commission communication will be done over email for security and organization. I will not be contacting people over telegram or discord about these things. no exceptions. I've already had reports of people pretending to be creators to con others, and I've already had one of my discord accounts compromised once. I wont let it happen again.

I'll have more about it when I'm ready to start taking more commissions. In the meantime, if you have any questions you can shoot me a DM. I'll answer things the best I can.

2025 will be a focus more on the Villains Actual project, as Juui and I have hammered out most of the details for the overall plot. Expect a fair bit of updates on characters, as well as some non canon skits to just have fun and figure stuff out. This does involve bird and noodle shenanigans, as well as 'adapted' sonas of friends and some individuals who have been really supportive who will be included!

Since I had my external sdd stolen I lost *a lot* of wip stuff, including a fair amount of information from when I did patreon. I'm having to rebuild a bit from the ground up because of this but as you all can tell I have no idea what I'm doing and nothing can stop me.

Naturally there will still be smut to be posted cus I have a near bottomless libido and need to vent it somehow. I'll also occasionally ask for volunteers on experiments, lewd and otherwise, on bluesky. I have deleted my xitter cus fuck that site.

I also may be moving again towards the end of 2025, gods willing, to a different city cus I fucking hate this tiny backwoods shitehole I currently reside in.

Anyways, expect me to keep working on stuff thru the new year. I'm trying to be cautiously optimistic about it. For those who have me on telegram it's easier to contact me than either of my discord accounts, cus I keep those muted from the sheer amount of notifications I get on occasion.

Yeah, a lot has happened since my last journal, so I'll tl;dr it -

Shortly after posting my last journal, I was informed by my roomates that I needed to move out. This turned into a long string of frustrating interactions with various places because of the trashfire that is the US housing situation. It took a lot longer than expected, and I have so many letters of rejection it made me depressed and angry for a while, especially since I was trying to juggle work and everything else on the side. I had to use a lot of unpaid time off, but eventually managed to get myself a place.

Now that I'm settled in my new bunker, still unpacking, I got my art station set up. Unfortunately I lost a lot of files when an external HD got stolen out of my car... I hope they enjoy trying to crack it and the sheer amount of illustrated fuckery contained within... and, like, 12 gigs worth of Adventure Time episodes. (Actually kinda sad about that last bit.)

Now that I have my own place I can get back to working on stuff without worrying about anyone seeing what sort of shameful shenanigans I have on the canvas, and I'm feeling a bit more relaxed now... still lots to do, but feeling good about things. Might be up for doing a collab or trade sometime, who knows.

My life is currently a mess but hanging in there. Apologies for dropping off like that, and some have even wondered if I was dead, but you know me; I don't have time to die, I'm too busy.

Oh, I also shut down my twotter acct. Fuck that place.

Big thanks to those few who keep up with me though! You guys keep me going, even if one of them is a catbird who thinks she literally owns my soul. Jokes on you- I'm irish. We don't have souls.

Hello again.

I may be reaching out soon for individuals interested in being included in one-offs. Starting small with one page runs to test a formula I've come up with for Juui and I to start 'calibrating' our working process.

Expect a journal about it in the coming month or so. No promises will be made because due to the recent cloudstrike incident my work is collectively shitting their entire asses over the backlog that was created.

For the moment, because I'm feeling it, these will revolve around Newt getting a 'tip' of some sort- even though company policy flat out wont approve... and in these cases, would probably fire him on the spot. These will be adult themed and involve dicking/getting dicked by a well hung little drake dude. Details will be discussed upon pick and if it will be general/cuck/ntr themes. (Old habits die hard I guess.)

These will not be DNP (Do Not Post) materiel. I still somewhat offer this depending on who you are, and why.

It's my birbthday, so might as well throw something up here.

Life update;

Managed to get shifted into a different position that gives me a lot of time to draw on the clock, and I'll be milking this as much as possible as my schedule allows. Some days are busier than others, but I'm no longer running 12hr days and planted into a 4 day 10hr shift doing technical work. I'm still getting used to the new role (And butting heads with management often- I think they regret hiring a former corpo-level engineer who knows how things should actually work, but I digress..)

So, yeah. I'm able to put more effort into artwork again. However-

I will no longer be taking commissions. I will not be doing collabs, trades, or anything else for others- except for my art team, people who genuinely have an interesting idea for me to draft up, or friends <(the ones who stuck around during my self-impose exile, you already know who you are.)
Owed works will be completed or refunded. Most already have been completed/refunded, and I'll probably refund the rest as I can afford it. It's been a slog and I appreciate those who have been patient with me.

I want to work at my own pace and make art fun again. Nearly stopped drawing altogether there from burnout, and art helps distract me from the pants-on-head stupidity going on these days.

Instead I'll be building towards what Ive been wanting to do since... well, forever. Done fucking around now. Juui has been writing up scripts and we'll be working on some experimental comics to calibrate abilities for a big project I'll be doing called Villains Actual.

This does not mean I will flat out not work with others- I'll probably reach out here or on Bluesky for people willing to have their characters included for these one-off stories or something fun I feel like doing because I can. If we like you enough, you might become a common occurrence in the main project, and there will be more on that later. I'd like to add that trans, ace, toaster, whatever- they're welcome here. Those too closed-minded can go play in traffic, and I couldn't care less about their opinions.

Anyways, before this journal gets too long and my stout gets warm-

The theme for these experimental works will be non-canon to Villains Actual, and can occasionally be adult themed. The main project itself will not be adult focused. (Because we have a story to tell, not porn to sell.)

It is futuristic cyber/space punk with alien creations to be involved, so those with particularly weird sonas will especially be welcome. We already have ideas that will allow ferals, even dino types to be added in, which is actually kinda exciting. Mostly because Juui has an idea for a velociraptor with augmented gorilla arms that runs a burger joint and will NOT comply with me unless it's canon... so get excited, cus it's gunna get weird.

More updates to come as we start putting things together. Expect ref sheets, 'modified' sheets for friends who have their characters included, and general weirdness while I work my way out of this near-fatal burnout. You may also see characters with my name next to theirs in the copyright- These sonas are fully co-owned, and you'll probably see a lot of these as this project develops.

In the meantime expect a smattering of the usual debauchery, Garrett and his son Ashton especially, plus more wacky creations as things coalesce with the main project.

Finally, I wanted to thank my art team; TheBlackMarten, StamperTPandragon, Bug & Juui, Wispy, Donkles, Rhys, Daz, Helvius, John Calafin, Yuki, RedwaveEin, SpicyWingz, Arty, Twiggy, and a few who shall be unnamed but know who they are, thank you for sticking by me when I was at my lowest. Apologies for being mostly AWOL still, my work schedule continues to be trash and with peak season coming up I don't expect it to level out for a while. I'm still looking for other work, but the job market around here is terrible- that being said I could be stuck in a worse place all things considered.

Art wise I have a lot of half baked materials floating around and some completed things ready for posting. The rest have been DNPs, so naturally I wanted to get those done first since they won't be public anyways. It's also been difficult working the muse up, but that should fix itself in time... I miss the old drive I used to have, and it's still there, just slumbering like an eldritch horror that will need to take a wicked piss once it wakes up.

To those who have kept up with me during this long self-inflicted exile; I love you guys. While everyone else buggered off you lot stuck around, and I cannot be more grateful. I'm still mostly available on telegram though, as I haven't really had the time to sit at my pc to sift thru discord with the limited after-work downtime I get. (And before anyone asks; unless I know you I will not be giving out my telegram info.)

To those who keep bugging me about commissions; They're closed, full stop. I do not have the time, energy, or patience, to deal with new projects/collabs/art packs... and frankly, unless you have a truly interesting prompt for me to work on, I doubt I ever will aside for friends. To say I'm burnt out is an understatement. Please respect that, because I'm a jaded fuck who will happily block you and forget you existed after five minutes.

However, there are a few I'm still working on as the rest have been refunded or due to be refunded, and a lot of fun plans to work out illustrations for stories 'n such hammered out between myself, Juui, Bug, and a few other very close friends. Most of them aren't lewd, which is a nice change of pace. Expect to see some of that crop up here at some point as these little rp/lore bashing/world building run ins with friends seems to please my think meats greatly.

Because of the really stupid schedule I work, and the very limited free time I have after shifts, uploads will be extremely slow until the new year begins. Currently working on things as I can. A few have been started and some others refunded, it's a slog but I'm managing. As per this journal; next month I'm closing patreon because my new job has me working 10hr days 5 days a week. I have zero time after work to work on art with everything else going on, so I'm going to pull the plug on it and work off/refund what's owed. It's not fair to the patrons who have been waiting all the time, and the list keeps piling up while I work to pay off my crazy debts from the move, shipping my mom overseas, and most recently; my car getting smashed by a drunk rear-ending it. They hit it so hard it dented the gas tank and the driver shoved it clear into the neighbors yard, but I digress;

I am NOT going to be taking any commissions anytime soon. None. Please do not ask. Inquiries will be completely ignored.

I do not know when I will be able to open again or if I even will; I've already refunded several already and will probably refund more. I'm completely overwhelmed trying to keep my home as it is, but I'm not going to be That Guy ™ either.

I'll contact those I will refund when I can, in the meantime don't expect much in the ways of art for a while. I need to focus on work and getting out of the red. In the meantime I hope everyone's doing well and that I can get back to posting fun stuff when I can. Probably later in the year, who knows.

Ahoy! It's been a hot minute, aye? I'll give you guys a quick rundown of recent events before getting to the nitty-gritty...

In the final few months of 2022 it was not a good time;

Finally moved out, but finding a job in this little town sucks.

Aunt committed suicide, which blew a hole in everything for the most part... my mom was especially affected, so much so that I don't want to get into the details. She's somewhere much better suited for her care though and thriving, which is all I can ask for.

Still couldn't find work, and event listed above had me too busy to do Patreon stuff. It was paused the rest of the year so I could focus on family.

More family insanity, namely my niece went AWOL due to some poor decision making on my dad's part. Let's just say it was such a fucking pants-on-head stupid thing that I'm effectively claiming myself an orphan. Yes, it's that bad. No, I won't get into details because just thinking about it makes me absolutely livid.

BUT there's good stuff-

I learned that among the people I spend time with I have some truly good friends I can rely on, and I'm grateful for every one of them. I'm going to do my best to return the favor.

Now for the boring business stuff-

My new art manager and I have redone everything for patreon so it's one small price- just 3$ for early access to comics, chance at free lineart, chance at cameo appearance in comics, etc and so-fourth. The biggest deal is that I will be doing commissions for patrons *first* before opening publicly.

There are no more tiers because they were a headache to deal with and there were *a lot* of complaints about it. So now everyone's equal. Welcome to the Nubclub Choomrade, don't fuck around because I'm absolutely done with being nice.

It also gives me wiggle room to work overtime at my new job to pay off some incredible debts I've accrued with helping out my mom and my fffffffffffffffffffffffffffffucking inept father. I'll still be doing art- but it will not be my priority for a while, at least until I've managed to put a healthy chunk in what I owe.

Finally- This year I will be starting comic work. No more faffing around >:V Sick of being pushed by the whims of the wyrd.

Been a while! Just dropping a bunch of updates and what's been going on since the last journal. I'll keep it short and sweet.

- My Patreon is life (as many of you have noticed) but I'm still pretty new to figuring out how to run one and the best method to go about it. As of now things are a bit chaotic, so as much as I want to push it I'm holding back until I'm in a more stable position. More on that next. I don't recommend joining in on it just yet since it's been a big struggle for me so far, ESPECIALLY the higher tiers.

- I'm moving! A lot has happened, perhaps too much. One roomate moved out, leaving me and another to handle covering a rather expensive apartment in the process. We *were* doing okay, then the apartment management dropped a higher rent price on us, and we just can't handle it. (For example, we pay 1800ish already. The new amount is 2200ish. That's a bit much for two guys, so I've gotten a part time job to cover what my patreon cannot handle. So far so good.

Our ETA to the new place is mid August, so this month is going to be REALLY busy trying to balance work, art, and moving. I deeply appreciate everyone's patience during this time, and especially those of my patrons. You guys have been absolutely amazing and respectful while all this mess is going on xvx

Lastly- As much as I'm fighting to keep afloat and escape this place, it's still rough going. So at the recommendation of several patrons, I'll be putting a link up to my ko-fi here. Some major changes to commissions have been made, namely because...

TheBlackMarten and I have been putting a lot of thought and effort into creating a podcast for artists! Both new and seasoned; our intent is to talk about artwork and the various tips/tricks we have picked up over the years. This includes 3d modelling, digital art, music, and even writing.
We even plan on hosting some individuals to share their experience, and possibly even give examples through youtube videos. (Marten has been working on an amazing 3d animated rig just for this, and I'm honestly blown away.)

And before you ask, no, it will be NOTHING like that other podcast.

I will keep you all updated on this, plus other things I've been trying to figure out... like Patreon, follower rewards, and other things like it.

Art trades/collabs; Again, only if I know you in some way. Ive had terrible luck with individuals not committing or vanishing completely part way through.

Though I will be honest with you all; the list is rather long, so for the meantime I'll be keeping it closed anyways until a considerable amount has been finished first.

In regards to some DMs I've gotten I'll be putting a little FAQ here-

"I haven't heard from you yet, is my commission still valid?"
- Yes. The people I have contacted already are either on the to do list or been rejected for various reasons.

"What's your policy on intersex/trans/herm/etc characters?"
- All are welcome. Anyone who has a problem with that can kindly retract their commission offer.

"Can I contact you on Discord/Telegram?"
-Discord is fine *but* only if you're actually wanting to chat. If you have inquiries about your commission DM me, Discord is my socializing place, not work. As for Telegram it's only for close friends and affiliates.

"I forgot a detail on my application..."
-That's fine! We can work that out when I message you about your commission.

"Can I pay you in Steam games?"
-If you want anything done in a reasonable amount of time *do not pay me in games.* Last person who did regretted it when I binged DarkSouls 3 for a few months xvx

"Do you have any other method other than paypal?"
-Unfortunately no, at least, not yet.

"Do you really need to verify that characters actually belong to their owners?"
-This is a no-brainer. If you don't have permission to use someone's character, **Don't fucking use their character.** I will find the owner and I will inform them. So far I've had 12 people try and pull this on me.

"I do not agree with X's taste in commissions."
-It's not your problem and none of your business. If it's not your commission your opinion is void, just don't look at it.

"Does it cost extra to include one of your characters?"
-No. They do not count towards the character total, but if you choose more than two there will be a fee.

"What's your price listing?"
-It should appear in the window when clicking on the commission link.

"I want to know who owns this 'do not post' commission in the list."
-Too bad. It's confidential for a reason.

"Can we still do art trades?"
-Yes, but only if I know you.

There are no slots, its not first come first serve, and there's no application deadline, so there's no rush to pitch.

TL;DR of what "passive commissions" means-
If my real job is kicking my ass particularly hard I'll choose the lighter commissions to do first.
