Day 2 of the return from Wonderlands insanity and I"m still in a state of recovery. My jaws hurt, my throats dry, my body feels a tad numb but overall I'm recuperated. It didn't seem bad. 3-5 business days but whatever. The part that caught my attention was the post script. What "Furry emergency" would warrant calling local authorities? And what would local authorities even do? Any ideas? And what the hell is a "furry emergency?" The last FE i heard about was someone not having enough money to get to con.

So yesterday I went to Prancing Skeltaire (PS) for the first time. And I don't know how to spell Skeltaire so don't yell at me please. Anyways!!! It was my first furmeet evers! I got a ride with Aquachem, DZ, TigerPaw, and...someone else whose name I don't know. The car ride up was fine. I kept falling asleep so it was shorter than it seemed I guess.

But when we got there it was huge!!! There were people everywhere and lots of stuff going on. And I watched some weird anime movie on the tele and I have no idea what it was. I spent a lot of my time in the kitchen listening to old people tell stories about when they weren't old. It was pretty informative. For instance, the OC used to be klan central. I never knew that.

I met a bunch of peoples! I met Sam, Loki, TheBunny, RooBunny, Crane (i think was his name...), uh...I met a lot of people and I have no idea what there names are...AARON! I met Aaron. uh...damn...ok I met peoples. I just don't know their names now. And now I feel bad.

Anyways. Point of this was that it was fun. And I hope I get to go again next month.

Hugging my knees to my chest I look over the edge of my bed at the torrid waves that claw at the sheets.
Seeing there teeth gnash at the mattress is almost comforting in a way.
Knowing that being submerged and dying are almost the same.
If the waters were warm perhaps I'd be more inclined to take the plunge and see what lies beneath the blue.
But as it is I feel the chill of mist and know that, much like ice, I will grow to hate the embrace.

I do not know the currents.
Nor the passageways of this sea.
I simply hide atop my bedding and, like Columbus must've, assume I know where I will be when I next see shore.
But even I am not so silly as to think that I have rights to knowledge beyond my knowledge.
