General | Posted 10 years agoI'm considering the possibility of starting a small series of commissioned eroge scenes and maybe a patreon based off of it if enough people become interested in it. So if anyone is interested, feel free to post some examples of what you've done below.

A Theory for Artists: Why People Might Not Commission You
General | Posted 11 years agoI've been thinking about why people don't ask for commission from me and others. This isn't a 'boohoo, poor me thing', it's just speculation based on why I myself don't commission people more and from what I've heard from others.
There's always the 'I don't have enough money' reason, which is understandable. People can't just spend their money on art, even if they want to.
The artist could be too expensive as well. What I mean by this isn't that their rates are too high, it's that the people watching them can't afford it. Honestly, even high priced pieces are MUCH cheaper than what it would cost in the real world. Not always, but most of the time.
And I kind of always wonder: I have cheap prices, cheaper than most, and I have decent art. Why do I hardly ever get commissions?
So I thought about why [i]I/[i] rarely commission others. Lack of money of course, but there's also the fact that I don't KNOW what to ask for.
Like, I have a vague idea, but it's not solid enough to commission it, and I don't want to approach an artist and ask only to not have more info on what I want.
Is that how you guys feel? I highly doubt you're going to comment since it's so rare that I get one but I might ask well ask, haha.

Or are you hoping it'll be something besides Male/Male?
Maybe you have a certain theme in mind or species or heck I don't know, a pose that really makes your insides twist?
