The story of my kaguya hime
General | Posted 16 years agoAn ancient Japanese legend says that there once was an old man living with his wife. One day he went to a plantation of bamboo shoots to collect and met there with a bamboo tree that had a light inside. He asked why and he felt a great curiosity about what was inside.
Carefully cut the bamboo and was amazed to find a precious baby inside. Decided to pick it up and take her home. He consulted with his wife to do with the baby, and concluded that it was a gift from God. They decided to call the girl Kaguya-Hime (Princess of the Shining Light). From that day whenever the old man cut bamboo, found gold in it, it soon became rich and build a big house.
Several years later, the baby grew and became a pretty girl. Everyone knew her because she was elegant and beautiful. Five princes come to your house to ask her hand in marriage. She was reluctant to marry, so I proposed a number of impossible tasks to complete before getting to marry her.
The first was charged to bring the holy grail of Buddha who was in India. The second prince was commissioned to find a legendary branch made of silver and gold. The third was to try to get the legendary tunic made from rat hair of fire, which is said to be in China. The fourth, a shining jewel color to the neck of a dragon. The last prince commissioned a beautiful shell that is born of the swallows. The princess asked what nobody knew they existed and were very disappointed.
After this, young people stopped going for some time the old house and they were all looking for the wishes of the princess. One day, come the first man and brought the cup of Buddha that the princess had asked, but he went to India as she requested, instead brought a dirty cup from a temple near Kyoto. When the princess saw him, she knew immediately that this was not the cup of Buddha, because although she was very old and was made of stone, the cup was in India always had a sacred glow.
The second had no idea where it could be a branch of silver and gold, also did not want to make a long journey and as he was rich, decided to order some jewelers. Then he brought the gift to the princess. It was so wonderful that she thought it really was what she asked and thought he could not escape marriage with this young man except that he appeared to ask jewelers for money. Thus the princess knew that the branch was not true, and therefore was not what she wished.
The third, who had asked the robe fire rat hair, gave them a lot of money to some traders who went to China. They brought a gorgeous skin and said it belonged to the rate of fire. He took the princess and she said "It's really a very thin skin. But the hair of the rat fire does not burn, even when thrown into the fire. Let's try". And she threw the skin into the fire, and as expected the burned skin in a few minutes, the young man was angry and embarrassed.
The room was very brave and tried to find the dragon itself. He sailed and drifted for a long time because nobody knew where he lived the dragon. But for one day, was besieged by a storm and nearly dies. I could not look more to the dragon and went home. Back at home, was very ill and could not return to Princess Kaguya.
The fifth and final of the men looked in all the nests, and one of them thought he had found, but going down the stairs so fast he fell and hurt himself. Not even what he had in his hand was the shell that the princess had asked, but an old swallow hard.
This way, all had failed, and none could marry the princess. Princess's reputation was such that one day the emperor wanted to know its extraordinary beauty. The emperor was captivated by the girl and asked her to marry him and went to live in his palace. But the Princess also rejected his proposal, saying it was impossible because she was not born on the planet and could not go with him. However, the emperor could not forget her and kept insisting.
That summer, whenever the princess looked at the moon his eyes filled with tears. His elderly father asked him what was wrong, but she did not answer. Each passing day the girl was sad and looked at the moon if I could not stop mourn. The elders were very concerned, but the princess was silent. A day before the full moon of mid-August, the Princess explained why I was so sad. He explained that he was not born on the planet, but it came from the moon, where he should return at the next full moon, people would come to her.
The elders tried to convince her not depart, but she said I should. So the old man ran to the Emperor, and told the whole story, the latter sending a lot of soldiers home of the princess. On the night of the full moon of mid-August, the warriors surrounded the house in an attempt to protect the princess, while she was inside with his parents waiting for the people of the moon that would be for her. When the moon became full, an immense light blinded everyone and the people of the moon down to the princess, the soldiers could not fight because they were blinded by the immense light and strangely because they had lost the will to fight.
The princess took leave of his parents and told them not want to leave, but they had to. He also took leave of the emperor by letter. The stark emperor sent an army of soldiers to the highest mountain in Japan, the great Mount Fuji. Their assignment was to climb to the top and burn the letter he had written Kaguya-Hime, hoping it reached the far distant princess.
Years later, the moon fell the layer that people of the moon gave the Princess Kaguya-Hime. A monk named Miatsu, passing by heard the story of the princess and went to the emperor. He said that if ever the full moon appeared more than they should, take the layer of Mount Fuji and burned. When the emperor asked the reason, the monk said that the Princess Kaguya had received the letter he had burned so long ago, and that he was upset about not being able to stay on the planet, so it had decided to make land in a place like the moon without space or time, plunged into eternal night, in order to return. The emperor asked the monk seal to Kaguya in a place which could never leave. Miatsu The monk did so, in a mirror of the palace (which was known as a mirror of life or moon) with five items that the princess had asked her suitors, such as keys and lock opening the portal between the moon and earth (the monk had), which will help mankind would be safe from the power of the princess. The layer of Kaguya-Hime was given to a family's ancestral recognized and stating that its members possess spiritual powers.
Princess Kaguya is heard through a whisper of a palace servant who was in charge of keeping the mirror that held her captive of the charm and delusion of the emperor, so he asked one of the people of the moon that would make the Mount Fuji fell fire, lava, ash and poisonous gases that cause the death of the entire region. The person did so, and taking the fury of the Princess as the main component, created the volcano (previously was just a mountain), which erupted due to the anger of the princess was not enough so they had to wait until the anger of the princess to accumulate and not enough to blow the volcano. Since then the eruptions of Fuji (few in history), have been violent, because of the fury of Kaguya-Hime.

Why is this?
General | Posted 16 years agoActually ive been making some more drawings that ill post soon...but a question appeared in my mind: why all the furs that i draw are white kittys?? O.O and really really i dont know the answer to my own question x.x maybe its because i love the kats...but why are they white!!??? n.n
