BAD NEWS - potential hiatus, Life events and what's to come
General | Posted 3 months agoAs some of you may know, my paternal mother has been arrested(bailed out recently) with stalking and domestic violence charges. This was the result of her putting a tracker on my material mother's car (they have been divorced for about 8-9 months at this point.)
What will be affecting me:
As of right now, we work together in the same company in IT positions. She is the system's admin, install coordinator, etc.
I am installs manager (I work with/technically guide onsite techs that are installing our VOIP phone systems and do the remote programming.), but I do know how to do parts of her job, but I'll need some training on how to do that. Now the big problem is, I don't have her 20+ years of experience she has to help me. So I may end up needing to pull 70+ hours a week to be successful in her absence for whatever jail time she receives if she doesn't get parole or house arrest.
And that's where the uncertainty currently lies. We are still waiting for a court date to figure out what is to happen. She already has an attorney, so I do hope she gets parole or house arrest. For my sanity at least.
What this may mean for you:
I may end up needing to hang my pen/tablet up until more stable times come. But this all depends on the outcome of the trial.
So I may end up in a position later in the year after a possible hiatus where I would need to take on a bunch of commissions to make ends meet.
If she does get jail time, I may be reaching out for donations to help cover things for my little brother and cover payments for her house/trailer until I can sell it. It's either that, or it gets vacated and we end up losing it and my brother gets forced out.
We might have somewhere for him to go, but I'll have to talk with my other mom that she was stalking about what her plan for that is.

Both slots can be any gender/sex. (A strap-on will be provided for those without said anatomy.)
Starting bid prices:
SLOT 1: $50
SLOT 2: $40 (lower since less of the character will be visible.)
After the first bid has been placed, the auction will last for 4 days.
If the top bids reach the max total of $300 for both slots, the auction will end at that point in time.
This also means that one person can buy out the total commission for $300.
Who is eligible to auction?
- Any one I know from my discord server or friends list
- Non-default icon profile. (Don't look like a bot.)
- Has their sona/OC posted on their account
- Not racist, LGBTQ-phobic, zoo, sexist, or any type of hateful content on their account
Note: The finished piece will be publicly posted.

But basically, I'm very stressed at my job and am trying to get some other sources of income so I can at least breath easier.
